YY it's my third thread in as many days and I'm not even bloody overdue (39 weeks today!) but fucking hell I am so uncomfy (SPD plus arthritis is not a good combination with two mental lively DC now off school for a fortnight plus raging heartburn, exhaustion and repeatedly being kicked in the cervix).

Anyone want to hold hands while waiting for bloody contractions to start?

Maki79 your midwife sounds lovely,it's great she mentioned that other 'option'

40+13 that's quite something, I know I'm climbing the walls at 40+8!!

Fingers crossed these babies don't keep us waiting much longer :-)

I had a sweep this morning so I'm hoping baby decides to book his one way ticket out of here so that we can finally meet him.

Chocolatecakefan · 28/04/2015 19:31

Now 40+5! Kept waking up all last night with strong vibrations in my tummy, and just went to the loo and had a show. I've got a big tummy ache and back ache at the moment, hopefully she's on her way!!!

FizzyBubbly · 28/04/2015 20:09

Ooooh sounds promising Chocolate! Im 40+5 too so very jealous!!

Any action after your sweep Captured?

I've borrowed my friends aromatherapy set and she's given me the recipe for a potent concoction that's supposed to help move things along so will have a relax with that after my bath.

capturedbyminipirate · 29/04/2015 09:26

I hope that's the start of it for you chocolate :-)

fizzybubbly I just felt a bit tender for most of the day after my sweep yesterday & (sorry tmi) just some browny/yellow discharge, then later at night had some cramping. Really wanted to wake up in labour but just more mucus plug and a bit tender this morning...there's still time before the dreaded induction on Friday though...that's what I keep telling myself :-)

How is everyone else doing?

JontyDoggle37 · 29/04/2015 09:50

40 weeks exactly today, been awake most of the night with low down period pains, which are still continuing but not moving into anything else. And thus has happened three times in the last two weeks so far. No plug, no waters, nada. We haven't found out if its a boy or girl and I just so want him/her to arrive and us both be ok. I am crap at waiting....

splodge77 · 29/04/2015 18:43

Can I join you? 40+2 and defo fed up. Hurty fanjo and lots of BH going on but nothing else. Bored of waiting. Ho hum.

Fingers crossed this is it for you Maki!

Hi to Jonty and splodge, welcome to the club Smile

Had an unsuccessful sweep as in not even performed! Baby too high and midwife didn't want to risk breaking my waters by accident. Only 39+2 at this point but fed up and impatient to meet this baby! I'm booked in for round two in a week's time so hoping for better chances then.

FizzyBubbly · 30/04/2015 08:51

Welcome Jonty and Splodge!

Any progress Maki? Otherwise best wishes for the induction!

Sorry to hear your sweep didn't happen as planned Gingerfluffball, hopefully you won't need the next one

Got a reflexology and acupuncture session this afternoon, when I booked it a couple of days ago her words were "When you go into labour Thursday night....." Can't help but get my hopes up!

41 weeks today

libertinelou · 30/04/2015 19:54

Completely sympathise with everyone feeling fed up. I'm due on Saturday but baby is showing no signs of arrival. Booked in for a sweep next Thursday but didn't think I could wait that long so called to see if I could move my appointment forward to Tuesday but was told midwife is booked up on that day. Just burst into tears, so pathetic! Have tried some of the old wives tales but hubby refuses to have sex to bring on labour so not happy with him either!

Argh any news from those still waiting? I'm still totally fed up with a huge bump and no baby! Reading about all the royal baby news just makes me want this baby out more... but at least Kate apparently went overdue too Grin

JontyDoggle37 · 03/05/2015 11:32

40 +4, unsuccessful sweep on Thursday (she managed the sweep successfully and says I was 1cm dilated but nothing happened as a result). Another sweep booked for this coming Thursday and Induction booked for this Saturday 8th. Really really don't want to be induced. So tired, fed up and tearful now, worried about getting through labour when I'm this tired to start with....

libertinelou · 03/05/2015 15:05

I've tried hot curry, pineapple, long walks, sex, none if which have helped move things along. Unfortunately I now definitely believe babies just arrive when they're ready and failing medical induction there isn't much we can do to speed up the process. Good luck to all those still waiting.

splodge77 · 03/05/2015 21:22

40+6 today and nothing happening except braxtons and groin pain when I walk (waddle!) anywhere. He feels so low down but still won't come out!!! Sweep for me on Weds & induction the Monday after. Really hoping to avoid the latter!
