I'm having contractions about every 6 mins, lasting about a minute each. I've sent DH to bed to try to sleep and I'm up watching a Friends dvd! Anyone around to keep me company? Feeling a bit scared and not sure I can do this. (First baby!)

Congratulations!

You just did so amazingly well, after all that here he is - hope you are tucked up in bed all together enjoying each other.

Also, if you randomly feel like bursting into tears, that's absolutely fine too, do it & don't try to hold it in. Ride out the hormones, I wasn't warned about how I might feel and was v tearful and quite sad, I think stunned really! - but none of that means you aren't totally captivated & joyously in love with your son at the same time.

What a welcome & so many congrats for mummy, daddy and mini nutbiscuit - you deserve every one, you were ace Thanks
