I'm having contractions about every 6 mins, lasting about a minute each. I've sent DH to bed to try to sleep and I'm up watching a Friends dvd! Anyone around to keep me company? Feeling a bit scared and not sure I can do this. (First baby!)

How are things this morning?

QuietNinjaTardis · 28/03/2013 08:15

Just seen this thread. Posting my best wishes for you. When I got to hospital after back to back contractions all night long I was assessed at 4cm at quarter to 6, at quarter to 7 I needed drugs but they checked me and said no cos I was near.y 10 cm! If they're getting more painful and you feel like you need pain relief I'd go back to. Hospital if you haven't already.

marshkat · 28/03/2013 09:23

Morning Nut hoping you are either pushing baby out or resting! Wink Thinking of you. x

NutBiscuit · 28/03/2013 09:50

Morning all! Back at hospital and I'm 4cm, yay! Just been admitted to labour ward so hopefully some pain relief and rest might be forthcoming! Will keep you updated, just about to instruct DH how to post on my behalf if necessary Smile

Yay!

Honestly, an epidural is the way forward at this point if you want one. You will cry with relief.

I was very anti-epidural until my similar labour.

Best of luck, Nut!

halestone · 28/03/2013 10:47

goodbyeyellowbrickroad · 28/03/2013 14:22

Yay! Not long to go now. I fell in love with the midwife that gave me the gas and air - marvellous stuff. Hope whichever pain relief you go for helps.

NutBiscuit · 28/03/2013 16:05

Ha, i told the anaesthetist that put my epidural in that he was my favourite person Grin. Waters have been broken but cxs have stalled a bit. They're muttering about a drip, but baby Nut is not doing too well with the contractions so not sure what they'll do
