What time did you go in to be induced?

Hospital want me to go in at 5pm on Friday.

I don't want to. I want to go in on Saturday morning.

Is there any reason they want me there overnight? Will ring hospital in the morning to clarify (couldn't face asking more questions of dopey consultant today!), but just wondered.

From your experience, are they likely to start trying to induce me on Friday evening? Or first thing on Saturday?

(Oh, and some "go into labour naturally" vibes most welcome - thank you!)

LadySherlockofLGJ · 18/01/2006 10:50

Come on in the water is fine

SorenLorensen · 18/01/2006 10:51

This is far too much excitement for me. Just tell me when it's all over!

Gizmo · 18/01/2006 10:51

Why do I always think birthing pools would look better with a few nice rubber ducks in them?

LadySherlockofLGJ · 18/01/2006 10:53

Do you know how hard it was to get one without a "busy" occupant ???

Gizmo · 18/01/2006 10:54

Ah LGJ, that's a classic NHS excuse, that is! Just put your foot down and insist on an empty one: remind them it's NHS policy

SorenLorensen · 18/01/2006 10:55

Do like at the park with swings - turf 'em out "you've been on there long enough, it's my turn now."

hunkermunker · 18/01/2006 11:01

Remind me that I don't want to do this again, eh?!

hunkermunker · 18/01/2006 11:04

sweetkitty · 18/01/2006 11:10

Aww Hunker you poor thing not easy when your DS isn't well either.

If it's any consilation I'm having sympathy BHs with you. I think I'm too cold/coughy to go into labour today though.

pupuce · 18/01/2006 11:11

Hunker - the "remind me not to do this again" is a good sign

serenity · 18/01/2006 11:13

AS much as I feel weird about being glad someone is in pain, I'm really happy for you that you've managed to avoid the induction!

I shall watch this in anticipation......

edodgy · 18/01/2006 11:22

ooh Hunker the shivery thing happened to me last time and 2 hours later I had ds!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 18/01/2006 11:24
