I'm getting really impatient, and Isbn is showing no signs of wanting to be born.

So far:
I am 40+4 today (was due on Saturday)
I am very heavy.
Isbn is currently residing on my bladder, and also a nerve on my left-hand-side hip.
It feels the lowest it has been, and I can't decide whether the tightenings are Isbn's bottom or muscles doing something.
For the past couple of days, I've been feeling sick, like morning sickness, and food has been giving me massive heartburn.

Don't get your hopes up, but I thought it would be a good idea to start the thread, because DH isn't technical enough to start one when the time comes (and is indeed very hesitant about even posting on it)

I've got it . I know how to entice ISNB out. We need to wave a copy of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' under nickel so that the baby can see the first page, and will be desperate to come out and see HOW many strawberries were consumed. This is a book-baby, people. We need to send book thoughts to ISBN and entice and cajole through the medium of print

Been away from mn for a few days but I'm back now. I will be expecting you to start contractions tomorrow am.

usingapseudonym · 06/12/2011 02:13

Stripey :-) a baby ! I'm almost begining to forget there are actual babies at the end of this journey. I'm getting so used to being pregnant.

I've woken up at night a little earlier than usual feeling sick and a bit stomach achey BUT my husband wasn't home so I didn't have proper dinner and ate pizza so it's Probably just unhappy inside :-( good luck nickel- I suspect you'll wake in a moment !

FellatioNelson · 06/12/2011 03:37

I'm starting to quite like the name Isbn. Confused

nickelbabe · 06/12/2011 03:47

pseudonym - i know exactly what you mean! Shock

I'm getting to quite like it to Fell - i might keep it as a nickname for the baby when it's born Grin

yes, i'm awake again.
911posts now - so it had better bw born soon.
I did wake because i needed a poo, but it wasn't a squishy one like yesterday. Blush

and feeling a bit sick again, but no contractions or period-pains or anything.

Come on Nickle!! We can be night time feeding buddies!! I hope you're not getting too fed upSad

FellatioNelson · 06/12/2011 05:29

Why don't you try downing a couple of really strong espressos? That always makes me run for the loo, so it might get something started.

JKSLtd · 06/12/2011 05:49

Hope you're either a) in labour now or b) back in bed.

You know you will have to start the next thread (not that you'll need one as you'll pop baby out this morning Wink) so we can see the your posts highlighted :)

Sparklingbaubles · 06/12/2011 06:47

Morning NIckel. I think some reverse psychology is required. Baby Nickel if you are listening you don't need to appear today, it's fine, we aren't even waiting. Grin

NorksAreMessy · 06/12/2011 06:52

And we can probably post some books UP to you, if that's what you want

Sparklingbaubles · 06/12/2011 07:19

mmm Norks on second thoughts perhaps we don't want anything 'reversing'. Grin

TheOriginalFAB · 06/12/2011 07:38

Congratulations stripey and welcome BabySTRIPEY.

Can I just say nickel you have done a sterling job starting this thread to encourage all these other babies to be born. Such selflessness. How many more to go before you can let ISBN arrive? Wink

vamosbebe · 06/12/2011 08:39

A baby? oooooh congratulations stripey

I'm off to the hospy this evening, hopefully will be holding a lovely warm Pea by tomorrow evening!!!

I've been alright for days - but I just woke up nervous as hell :( just freaked out my sister's kids in Asutralia over skype by bursting into OMFG tears!!!

nickelbabe · 06/12/2011 08:52

Fell - espressos are more likely to make me vomit - [boak]

there are still 4 left, i think.

ooh, no, 5 as well as me, because Mouse joined the thread.
(more babies joining, not enough leaving wombs!)
stripey jumped her place in the queue - did you see that!
Shock

no, nothing happening overnight, but I'm up a bit earlier today cos I've got to deliver some books to a school and go to the postoffice.
(that was supposed to be a sod's law thing, but no!)

vamos - is yours a section? or induction?
good luck whichever, hope you have your baby pea soon

OP posts:
vamosbebe · 06/12/2011 09:08

It's an induction - the last thing I want is a c-scetion, I would've run to the hills by now!

My sis-in-law had an emergency c-section 3 months ago (I've been practising my newborn techniques with her delicious daughter!!) and altho everything went ok, her recuperation's been slow and I could do without all that hassle. Never had an operation or been checked into a hospital, so that's making me nervous, too. If you have to have a last-minute c-section, the DH can't come with me as there's no time to scrub up - I don't want to go a moment without him there sniffsniff

I'm being a big girl's blouse, I know :o

ilovesprouts · 06/12/2011 09:18

oh i feel for you i was 12days over

Thumbinnapuddingwitch · 06/12/2011 09:22
