I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

I don't think I want to know my fat levels quite yet!

1350 seems ok, I hover around 1270 and find it manageable so long as I plan what I am.eating and thus less to have a blip.

Feeling good as went out last night and had one lime and soda and drove. And I avoided the fridge when I came in! Was worried people would notice me not drinking (I'm usually the one knocking it back) but no one noticed.

Anyway, hope everyone is ok. Busy day with my brother coming but we"ll factor in a walk and a sea swim before the noshing begins!

ThrownMuse · 02/09/2018 07:10

Had a great day and have a slightly sore head but back on it today.

Everyone else ok?

OrgyOfBarminess · 02/09/2018 07:38

Hey @ThrownMuse hope you had a good time!

Not great yesterday was the village fete and there was cake! Back to it this morning though!

My friend and I found a lady doing aerial classes that were thinking of attending, I'm going to start back with some yoga this week my back has been killing me these past couple of weeks i think it needs a good stretch after the birth and recovery etc

Todayillbebetter · 02/09/2018 07:48

Hello - sorry I dropped off the thread for a bit. I'm being honest - this week has been dreadful in the end! Last week of holidays and everyone has wanted to go out, cook/ bake, coffee out, then a party last night....
So I'm not weighing this Monday because if I see the scales going up I will completely regress. So I'm back to it and I'll probably weigh the Monday after.

So glad everyone else is doing so so well. Halo

Those classes sound great, Orgy! And I think fete cake is irriestible so worth the blip!

Aw, Today, Don't apologise. School hols and all they throw up are really tough to negotiate. Don't feel guilty and enjoy the last few days!

Beautiful weather here still. We swam in the sea yesterday.

JustTheLemons · 02/09/2018 11:40

Today- I ended up going out for an Indian yesterday evening so I’m considering not weighing tomorrow too!

It’s so frustrating because I didn’t even enjoy it. I’m hoping I’ve learned a lesson from it and will be on track for the next three weeks.

ThrownMuse · 02/09/2018 15:48

When does everybody get back to relaity, assuming some of us have achool-aged kids?

Lemon - this happens to me....

ThrownMuse · 02/09/2018 16:14

My spelling, Jesus....can I blame a hangover still??

Todayillbebetter · 02/09/2018 21:26

Well I'm back to work Tuesday and children go back Thursday .. still I'm going to try and get back to basics from tomorrow and keep the walking up. I'm certain I've put the 4.5lbs back on but at least I'm not even bigger...so what will be will be.
I went shopping today because I NEED new work clothes and bought a size 18 in trousers. I'm mortified. But it serves me right. I'm considering just taking it all back because trousers look horrendous on me at the moment. Will stick to dresses SadBrewGin

@Todayillbebetter I feel your pain. I've totally just stopped and gone off the wagon ever since being back from holiday. Disappointed in myself. But hoping to start back tomorrow. Cannot believe it's September already.. need to lose this weight by Xmas!!

Todayillbebetter · 02/09/2018 22:13

We will never give up Duckii. We can do it. This thread is going to be around for a good while for support. Keep coming back here Duckii even if you're off the wagon! You're never far away from people that understand Flowers

I hear you duckii It is safe to say I am also not doing a good job of this right now!

duckii · 03/09/2018 05:48

So kind of you all. We can do this! Today is a new day. Smile

ThrownMuse · 03/09/2018 06:41

Good morning everyone!

It's so bloody hard isn't it, trying to lose weight when your routine is off and there's a ton of other stuff to be dealing with? One of the things I find the hardest about being a parent is the absolute lack of time I now have, so we end up making sure everyone else is ok first.

I'm also back at work on Tues Today and I can not wait to have my routine back, esp the swimming. Well done on walking; it's good thinking time too.

Size 18 - I understand. I have also reached this size for the first time ever and it's a horrible feeling. But the only way is down now and we are heading into the season of tights and jumpers so not so noticeable!

But definitely keep posting everyone!

Last day of school hols today so we are off to local indoor skate park and MacDonald (not for me, I'll pack my chicken salad!). I'll nip for a walk/sea swim later when DO gets home...

Smile

DP....

Todayillbebetter · 03/09/2018 07:02

Sounds like a lovely day Thrownmuse! We are off to a theme park for our last day. So I'm going to walk little dog first, walk around the theme park and then take little dog out again later.
We are taking our own lunch so nothing too bad! Good luck everyone Smile

I just weighed myself and lost 1lb this week, which is a bloody miracle as, like others, it’s been last week of holidays says our / party / beach trip with ice cream.
Thank god DD is back to school on Wednesday and I can get our routine back! I’m 4 lbs down in August, which considering holidays etc I’m pleased about. 36lbs still to go to get my 40lbs before 40.....

ThrownMuse · 03/09/2018 07:24

Thanks Today, yours sounds amazing too! Good planning on the walks too.

And well done French! Really great result considering it's the hols! I like your catchy goal too!

Does anyone else have any goals? I'm wondering if I should set some...

Todayillbebetter · 03/09/2018 07:25

French: bloody well done!! Losing in the holidays is fab!! Anyone else in real life seems to be able to just 'do it's but for me ( and others here), everything is a trigger and being at home, near food and shops, eating out and takeaway etc is just insurmountable at times.
Great work this week for you.

Can I join too, please? I'm 5'7 but I haven't dared to weigh myself in almost two years... I go by how my clothes fit. I'm a size 12 or 14. I have a Fitbit, which I wear 24/7. I'm too anxious and stressed to diet but my biggest problem is not being active enough. In spite of the Fitbit.Blush

mychildrenarebarmy · 03/09/2018 08:57

Well done French.

Trying to get my head straight (again). I have resisted the temptation to weigh and see what damage I’ve done. I’ve planned all my food for the day on mfp, had breakfast and packed my lunch for work.

ThrownMuse · 03/09/2018 11:39

Welcome San. Do whatever works for you, no rules here, just a common attempt to lose weight whilst navigating 70 billion other things.

Loving your planning mychildren.

Exactly Today.

sansouci · 03/09/2018 18:30

Thanks, ThrownGrin

ThrownMuse · 04/09/2018 07:11

Morning all! Good luck to everyone going back to work and school today! DS isn't over the moon but I'm looking forward to getting back down to work and some swimming!

Food today is eggs for breakfast; jacket and beans for lunch and a small portion of left over curry for dinner. Fruit and a 10 cal jelly pot for snacks. Also aiming for 12k steps a day.

I've also set a goal. 10 weeks til my birthday and want to be 14.7 by then, which is sensible I think!

I know goals aren't for everyone but it helps me if I break it all up a bit. Smile

Anyway - happy Tuesday!

OrgyOfBarminess · 04/09/2018 07:46

It's my DS's first day ever today, feeling alright at the min but I know I'll cry at some point. He's so ready to go!

Weighed myself this morning and I've lost 1lb which I'm surprised about.

@ThrownMuse the idea of planning meals out like you are doing sounds like the way forward for me I've been struggling to get meals together between feeding and dd has just embarked on her first growth spurt!
