I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

Sorry you are still feeling rubbish, Mostly. Hopefully whatever it is will be gone before Christmas!

Fudge is also allowed during illness. My granny used to make it, it was heavenly and lethal and no wonder she had no teeth!

Ha, well, it's less running more walking still, and even though it FEELS like I've burned 20,000 calories, it's probably only 150.

I'm going to have my tea with DS at 5.30pm and do us both cheesy beany jackets. It is hammering down here, and the lure of carbs is strong today!

ThrownMuse · 29/11/2018 09:40

Anyone still around?

Have just been for my week 4/day 2 of C25K and it was WINDY! The sea is looking mighty impressive today.

Now about to get stuck into some work - but am at home in my pj's and feeling very cosy and very motivated.

Food wise I'm about 80% on it...I'm wondering if I should have a natural break (NOT an excuse to binge, I promise) and see where I land on 20/12. I feel really good with having lost 1 and a half stone, and loving (really) the running. Still want to lose 4 in total...I think the stress of work (I'm writing a chapter of my PhD) is telling me to give myself some down time and give MFP a rest.

I realised that it will be 14 weeks this Saturday since I had a drink more than once a week (ie, just Wine Friday now)! That makes me sound like I had a problem (maybe I did!), but I feel quite proud about that (see PhD stress above!).

Anyway, happy Thursday all. Stay warm, well and away from the biscuits!

MeVoila · 29/11/2018 10:22

I'd been doing very well this week until yesterday. Went out for lunch and had steak and macaroni cheese with 2 glasses of red.
Worth it.....

ThrownMuse · 30/11/2018 07:46

You have to own these things, Voila! Glad you enjoyed it.

Stayed the same this week...as I said, not stopped doing it, just not feeling it with everything else going on.

Out tonight with a very dear friend who's having a tough time. The wine will be flowing!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 30/11/2018 08:13

I think you’ve caught up with me on C25K then, Thrown. Did week 4 Run 2 then stopped because it got really cold. Meant to start back up this week. Will have to be tomorrow as out tonight.

MeVoila · 30/11/2018 23:27

Lost 2lbs 14 oz this week, despite steak and mac n cheese lunch. V pleased. And also hungry.....

MostlyHungryAgain · 01/12/2018 12:53

Hello all! Sorry for absence.
It's been a crazy few days and all food monitoring went out of the window, am now too scared to get on the scales!

Back on it today and now with a 3 week countdown I don't know what tack to take!

ThrownMuse · 01/12/2018 19:29

Did you manage to run, Rafals? Very wet here but I'll go tomorrow, then it's on to week 5, yikes!

Well done Voila. Great result! Sometimes the odd meal doesn't mean the end of things.

Just stick with it, Mostly, and do your best before the festivities swallow us up!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 01/12/2018 20:02

Literally just finished Thrown.

Decided to go for Wk 5 Run 1. Think I might just lie here for a bit.

ThrownMuse · 02/12/2018 12:48

Oh crap, how was it? I did week 4 run 3 this morning...week 5 starts on Tuesday.

Should I be prepared to cough up a lung?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 02/12/2018 14:12

My legs were fine this morning. But I’d be prepared to cough up a lung.

Pulse oximeter was throwing up some interesting O2 readings when I got back but they did recover.

Just take it slowly.

ThrownMuse · 02/12/2018 14:37

Ok...I feel I need to look ahead! Or will that scare me?

Well done for doing it!

ThrownMuse · 02/12/2018 16:09

I looked. Run 3, FFS.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 02/12/2018 17:06

I’m not thinking about run 3. Although I will say, the first time I did C25K I overran Run 3 by about a minute before I realised I could stop running.

ThrownMuse · 02/12/2018 21:05

That really made me laugh!

I'm determined to do it, though.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 02/12/2018 21:23

I’m going to the first couple of week 5 runs more than once I think. I did do the 8 minutes this evening, just to see if I could. I wouldn’t have managed all of the second 8 minutes though.

Pretty sure this was where it all fell apart in May.

ThrownMuse · 03/12/2018 07:18

Rafals, we can try our best, and if we take a bit longer, so be it! We'll get there in our own time.

At home writing again today so need to stay away from the kitchen...

Food for me today:

BF: Oats
L: left over veggie curry
D: quorn cottage pie
Banana and yoghurt for snacks.

Feeling v bloated and heavy as TOTM, but at least I have an excuse!

Happy Monday all.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 03/12/2018 18:16

70.6 this morning.

Might leave running until tomorrow. So tired I can’t think about doing anything other than going to bed and watching Netflix. Already got 10,000 so it’s not a total disaster.

ThrownMuse · 03/12/2018 21:05

Get some rest, Rafals.

MostlyHungryAgain · 04/12/2018 13:32

Hello all!
I can't weigh myself at the moment (long story) so have no idea if I have lost/gained/am the same!

But I am trying to be good!
B: 4 x oatcakes/marmalade
L: Feta cheese/pomegranate/wrap with homous dip
D: Still full. Not sure what to have!

Well done on the running. You are all inspiring me to do this as well. But not yet.......... :-P

drspouse · 04/12/2018 15:55

Hello, I think I need to join.

I've put on yet another two lb due to not really paying attention to MFP.
I've only set my level to lose 1/2lb per week but I really want to lost that 2lb by Christmas.
I'm currently trying to cycle to work at least twice a week (it's quite hilly and it's 45-50 mins round trip) but yesterday I forgot to charge up my bike light so I had to get the bus home! Cycling home today.
And I'm trying to get my 10K steps in (I'll try and do it on days I cycle too).
I do tend to eat all my calories (including walking) as I find it so hard to cut down.
But if I am not having any luck in a couple of weeks I'm going to get drastic and stop eating my walking calories (aaargh!)
And possibly start running again (have had a bad run of health/joint problems recently).

MostlyHungryAgain · 05/12/2018 01:43

welcome Drspouse!
All that exercise sounds great, well done.

I should be able to weigh myself tomorrow, eek. Better have a light day today in anticipation. Grin

drspouse · 05/12/2018 08:32

Well I am NOT cycling to work today as I'd drown.
I will try and do a DVD or something later today or tomorrow.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 05/12/2018 13:35

Added a few extra steps going home to get changed because some knob end drove through a deep puddle at a million miles an hour and soaked me. Might go for a run later if it dries up a bit.

MostlyHungryAgain · 05/12/2018 16:10

oh no to rain and getting soaked!

I have had quite a good day, all things considered, but accidentally had a large piece of caramel shortbread instead of dinner. I had it at 3pm though so hopefully the damage will have worn off by weigh in time tomorrow!
