I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

oh no Thrown! get well soon. Hopefully you have lost your appetite though ;)

B: 4 x oatcakes & marmalade (200)
L: Meditteranean salad & a pita bread (450)
S: 2 x chocolate rice cakes (150)
D: cheese sandwich & half a tube of pringles (600) Blush

Total 1400

Ah well.

duckii · 21/11/2018 20:22

Hope you feel better soon @ThrownMuse Biscuit

ThrownMuse · 22/11/2018 07:56

Thanks everyone, feeling a bit more with it today. I worked from home (I may have eaten 2 pot noodles, but let's not dwell on those).

4 weeks till my final pre Xmas weigh in, and still feeling positive that I'll see 13:13 on the scales! Just need to keep away from the Wine and keep up the 🏃‍♀️

Happy Thursday everyone.

ThrownMuse · 22/11/2018 07:58

PS...hope you and little one feeling better Duckii.

ThrownMuse · 22/11/2018 07:59

PPS....no idea what's happened with my running emoji...most bizaar!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 22/11/2018 17:45

Someone’s eating fish and chips on the bus and I’m starving. Suppose it’s better than the family yelling and drinking beer from the other night.

ThrownMuse · 22/11/2018 19:27

Less hunger pang inducing I suppose. I love fish and chips. I ran past the local chippy earlier...divine!

Did you stick to your planned dinner?

ThrownMuse · 23/11/2018 06:29

Friday 23/11: 14.7. One pound off, total loss 1 and a half stone.

Will try not to drink this week and not let one single extra calorie pass my lips. 2 off next week would be good.

Happy Friday everyone.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 23/11/2018 07:18

Well done on the 1 and a half stone.

Did avoid the chip shop. Mostly spurred on by discovering that the smaller of my work tops now fits much better than it did over the summer.

ThrownMuse · 23/11/2018 10:43

Oh I love that feeling - it really spurs me on!

I am having a stressful day and all I can think about is wine, wine, and more wine....and nuts....

MostlyHungryAgain · 24/11/2018 03:11

well done you lot!!

I'm on emergency tactics now and am starting 5/2 which will be 4/3 this week.

today is a 500 call day gahhhhh. trying not to think about lovely toast.

ThrownMuse · 24/11/2018 05:58

How are you getting on, Mostly?

I drank last night but boy, did I need it! Back on the wagon today and will run tomorrow.

What are we all up to today? Not sure yet, other than needing to return a rug. Exciting stuff!

MostlyHungryAgain · 24/11/2018 09:34

Not great diet wise Thrown but not too bad either. I just haven't lost anything hence emergency tactics!

the '2' day is not too bad actually. no breakfast, then a cupasoup & 3 ryvita/marmite for lunch. Lots of diet cokes. Saving the bulk of calories for dinner which will be roasted veg, couscous and feta cheese. HOpefully it should come in at 500.

Then a normal day tomorrow, another 500 day on Monday, and so on.

That's the plan anyway! happy rug returning thrown.

MeVoila · 24/11/2018 10:19

I've learned to lose weight for the first time in my life (am 51). Here's what I've learned, losing more than 2 stone since Feb:

I couldn't motivate myself by wanting to 'look nice' or 'be thin'. I just liked comfort eating more than I wanted to be thin... I found my motivation through my sporting hobby- knowing I would improve performance if I lost weight. Find your motivation.

I need some sort of accountability- not a slimming group tho that might work for you- just personal accountability. The free app MyFitnessPal has been a life changer. Record everything you eat. Only you see it but you know if you 'cheat' you are cheating yourself.

Change your habits. Find non- food based rewards. I love a magazine... I subscribed to loads!!! and that was my relaxing treat/ distraction at the end of the day. Just plough on for a few weeks. It does get easier....

Being hungry isn't as bad as I thought. I'm getting better at finding lower calorie filling foods but, yes on 1200 calories, I DO get hungry. I tell myself it's just a feeling and crack on until the next meal. I never miss a meal but I don't snack either.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/11/2018 15:34

I tend not to notice being hungry if I’m moving around a lot tbh. If I’m having a day at work where I’m sat in the office I notice it much more than when I’m on my feet all day and moving from one job to the next.

ThrownMuse · 25/11/2018 05:49

Well done MeVoila, that's a great loss. I like your reward system, too! What sport do you do?

Good luck Mostly, fingers crossed it works for you.

Darling DS is already up so I'm going to have a coffee then head out for a run once it's light.

MeVoila · 25/11/2018 15:07

Thrown I do swimming. I only train once a week but it's a tough session. It's with a masters swimming club and we do occasional competitions for oldies!
I had a competition last month and that gave me motivation and a deadline. Despite being a year older, I swam faster than last year and put it down to the weight loss.

MostlyHungryAgain · 25/11/2018 16:39

Day II of Extreme Tactics.
Almost gave up this morning when the scales said 73.7 :/ but lo and behold it's tonight with pjs on and I am still 73.7 so I think by tomorrow there should be a good chunk off! yipee! Hopeful for 73.0 tomorrow.

B: porridge/skimmed milk
L: cupasoup/3 ryvita/boiled egg
S: handful almonds/blueberries
D: small baked potato/fat free cottage cheese/half tin sweetcorn.

800 calories.

wishing you all a good night and some overnight calorie evaporation. Think positive and christmas slinky dresses people!

ThrownMuse · 25/11/2018 21:08

Mostly, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you - good luck!

I had roast chicken (no skin, just breast) and a mound of veggies, avoiding the roasties, yorkies, stuffing and gravy. Hoping for two off next week...

MeVoila - wow, a proper swimmer! Very impressive with your improved times and master class! I am also a swimmer, but not as professional as you, though I do a lot of sea swimming. No better sport/de-stresser than swimming, in my book.

MostlyHungryAgain · 26/11/2018 00:48

72.9! Grin

And it really wasn't that hard so going to have another low cal day today, then on Weds again.

Well done on your swimming, Thrown and Me

How is everyone else doing?

ThrownMuse · 26/11/2018 06:24

Get in there, Mostly! Well done!

I have 4 days of working from home: wiring my jaw may be my only solution!

MostlyHungryAgain · 26/11/2018 10:50

Make sure your cupboards are empty Thrown! Good luck!

I am also back home from work feeling like i may have a cold coming. I have had an average calorie day and am now having a lemsip. Will probably finish the day off around 1200 but needs must today!

ThrownMuse · 26/11/2018 13:11

I've made it to 1pm on just my breakfast. Really need to eat lunch now before popping to the shops or I will implode!

Get well soon, lemsip is allowed whn you feel rough.

ThrownMuse · 27/11/2018 10:00

How are you feeling, Mostly?

I'm back from a very foggy run (week 4 now on C25K and fml it's hard). Having soup for breakfast as DP used the last of the eggs, but on a day like today, it's rather nice!

Now working from home until school pick up and attempting to resist eating a massive jacket potato with cheese and beans for lunch

How is everyone doing?

MostlyHungryAgain · 27/11/2018 11:27

We've had a food day at work so I have eaten things I wouldn't normally eat like fudge etc, but didn't go overboard. Still have a sore throat so don't feel like eating much for dinner!

May go for another 500 cal day tomorrow.

Jacket potato with cheese and beans sounds ok for lunch thrown? If you have a light dinner? You are doing so well with the running as well, i'm sure you can afford the calories!
