I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

You guys sounds like amazing weights already. I'd love to be 70kg again!!

MostlyHungryAgain · 05/11/2018 15:43

Duckii I am very out of proportion and look huge, have huge muffin tops hanging over all clothes, can't fit in anything etc etc. so def have a lot to lose and it won't come by eating 4 slices of garlic bread which is what I have just done. Hmm

duckii · 05/11/2018 16:10

I know how you feel. I just had a brownie and a hot chocolate! I blame time of the month

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 05/11/2018 16:43

Mmmm garlic bread.

I'm very short, duckii. 70kg is not a good look. Ideally I need to be about 60.

HelloViroids · 05/11/2018 17:34

@duckii I’ve got TOTM as well and I’m in AGONY Sad Weight has shot back up like a yo yo - that’s two weeks in a row of losing Mon- Fri, putting it all back on, and repeat... want to say I’ll be better this weekend but am going to Barcelona with friends and doing a food tour, so it seems unlikely Grin

ThrownMuse · 05/11/2018 18:21

Welcome back, Rafals!!!!!!!

And can the rest of you PLEASE stop mentioning garlic bread!

Also, most of you weigh now what my target weight is, though I appreciate height plays a big part!

There must be something in the air, I have had a terrible day, nibbling bits of cheese here and putting butter on my ryvita at lunch time. I may have eaten a gingerbread biscuit (ok, 3 biscuits, they were warm and awesome). It's working from home AND, most likely, sabotaging as I get close to my first goal. I always do this.

So - tomorrow after I have dropped DS at school (and done Day 2 on C25K), I will be working at the local library, where there is no cheese. It's also a 20 minute walk each way, so that will help.

Weigh in is Sunday, I will hold it together, I will. Honestly.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 05/11/2018 20:10

Standing next to the hot dog van at the firework display might not have been my brightest move. Managed to resist, but I wasn’t hungry before and now I’m starving.

ThrownMuse · 05/11/2018 21:02

Go to bed, Rafals, now! It's the only thing that works for me.

ThrownMuse · 06/11/2018 11:22

How are we all today? I am at home working and feel in the zone today, and a managed Day 2 of C25K.

BUT am very cross and upset as a birthday card arrived in the post today, with its contents missing - clearly ripped open and stolen. So upset that somone would do this. Am hoping against hope that SIL has emailed the gift voucher rather than send it, but she's away at the moment and I also don't want to tell her (not expecting it replaced, just want to break the legs of whoever did it).

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 06/11/2018 11:33

That’s annoying Thrown.

Haven’t started C25k yet. Did manage 10,000+ steps yesterday though, despite being on annual leave. Already on 4,700 this morning. Just need to find something to do this afternoon.

ThrownMuse · 06/11/2018 12:57

Totally.

Well done on the 10k! I can never decide if getting to 10k motivates me or depresses me...either way, better to do them than not!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 06/11/2018 15:38

Depends on the day thrown. Today it’s motivated me, other days it’s like ‘meh, screw it’. I’ve a feeling the workday ones happen by a sort of happy accident and I don’t really notice them. I’m much less likely too get out and go for a walk after work in my new job than I was in the last one where I wasn’t getting the steps in during the day.

ThrownMuse · 06/11/2018 20:31

Fair point, Rafals!

ThrownMuse · 07/11/2018 08:02

Good morning everyone, how are we all doing today?

It's wet and wild and windy here on the coast, and I love it! I woke up to a storm outside the window and spent a few minutes just listening to it. Glorious. Can't wait to see the sea later!

I'm on track but don't feel like much is moving still, perhaps it's just so slow that it's like watching a glacier! I'm hoping for 14.8 or 14.9 on Sunday - perhaps the next stone will offer some visible results! That said, I did try on some clothes yesterday and they are certainly looser. Weight loss is so weird! Some days I feel thinner, but the scales don;t reflect it at all. Ah well, just KOKO.

Anyway, after Sunday's weigh in my next milestone is Friday 21 December, which is 6 weeks. I'd like to be 13.13 by then (exactly 2 stone lost since August), and I think I can do it if I keep up the running and log every calorie!

Happy Wednesday everyone.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 07/11/2018 08:23

Happy Wednesday. Sea looking very rough here, although the wind has died down a lot since early this morning.

I’d go with the clothes feeling looser, Thrown. I think weight can fluctuate from week to week so it might just be you are having a week where you would weigh more anyway.

ThrownMuse · 07/11/2018 08:38

Thanks, Rafals, I feel like I've been stuck the last few weeks, though if I look at the loss over the whole period, it's still good!

How are you getting on? Did you get to 10k yesterday?

You are by the sea too? We are on the south coast, though not as far west as I would like - I miss cliffs!

MostlyHungryAgain · 07/11/2018 13:45

72.9 this morning so no gain and no loss. Have had a moderately ok day apart from a slice of cake and some crisps.

Not sure if I will have dinner or not!

MostlyHungryAgain · 07/11/2018 13:46

Ps Thrown sorry about your birthday card, happy birthday and hope it turns up!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 07/11/2018 17:54

That’s weird. Could have sworn I posted earlier.

I must be a bit further west than you, as I’ve got cliffs. 19,470 steps yesterday, so definitely got the 10k.

10,800 at work today. Might try w1r1 tonight. Depends how bad the seafront is looking.

MostlyHungryAgain · 08/11/2018 01:29

73.1 Sad

Basically haven't lost anything since i started this lol.
ok new target:
6 week target now of a 1.5kg week until Christmas;
so a target of 64kg.

1.5kg a week is 200grams a day. Surely that is possible!

Have a good day everyone!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 08/11/2018 07:38

I think 1.5kg might be a bit on the high side. It more than 3lb a week. Maybe 0.75-1kg might be a more achievable target. Tbh though my weight can fluctuate by a kg in a month, so I wouldn’t get disheartened yet.

Managed week 1 Run 1 last night and was much easier than I was expecting. Going to try week 2 tonight, that might be a better starting point.

Today’s target is to avoid the biscuit tin at work.

ThrownMuse · 08/11/2018 08:05

Conrats on the running Rafal - and upping it to week 2 already! Braver than me! I'll be doing Day 3 after dropping off DS at school. It's another windy day here so the sea will look glorious! Good luck with avoiding the biscuit tin.

Don't give up Hungry, just focus on those 6 weeks and see where you get - even half a stone would be incredible! I've got your back on this, we can do it!

I seem to stuck again around 14.9 (I must stop weighing!). Still a good loss (1 stone 4) but I think it's unlikley I'll see 14.7 on Sunday. Never mind, this is the first time since having DS (now 8!) that I have stuck to a better eating plan, and it's 11 weeks now since I had a drink in the week (I just drink on a Friday now), so I need to remember that those changes are pretty good.

Anyway, head down until Sunday and see what the scales say then. If I can hit 13.13 by 20 December I'll be pleased, and I think the running will help.

I'll post a progress photo then, too - perhaps you all kindly promise to assure me that you can see a difference!

Happy Thursday everyone!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 08/11/2018 08:22

If it keeps raining like this I’m not going anywhere.

ThrownMuse · 08/11/2018 11:09

Uh oh, Rafals - stay put (and stay away from the biscuit tin)!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 08/11/2018 19:59

Have brought new running shoes, so will have to run now. Managed week 2 Run ok. Not sure whether to continue with that or start week 3. Tempted to go with Week 3 but to do it for two weeks rather than 1.

Biscuit tin successfully avoided. Costa, not so much.
