I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

Thanks Duckii! I'm due on so could be that...as you say hopefully a whoosh next week. I'm not giving up though!

Beach walk was gorgeous thank you. I've popped my pedometer on my again and will try to hit 10,000 a day.

As you say, realistic goals!!!

I love a good declutter! I'd live in an empty room if I could.

MostlyHungryAgain · 28/10/2018 13:44

Thank you for the nice welcome. I'm four hours ahead of you and have just had dinner so can log for the day and that should be me done! Not a very good day food wise!

breakfast: raspberry yoghurt with granola (so much for no sugar!)
lunch: wrap with fat free cottage cheese, tomato and lettuce and half a family size bag of tomato crisps Blush
dinner: home made potato/spinach/green bean curry with a side of yoghurt/onion/cucumber.

I think I have probably finished the day on 1240 calories. Which is not too bad but it was not very healthy! No exercise.

MostlyHungryAgain · 28/10/2018 14:02

Forgot the yoghurt! 1400 Calories.

MostlyHungryAgain · 28/10/2018 14:05

Forgot the stats!
Yesterday I was 74kg but miraculously overnight I became 73kg so that will be my starting point.

I would like to be 65kg by Christmas, so I think that is more than the ten pound target but I really need to shift it.

I am working in kg, are you all working mostly in lb? I can change to lb if I can get my head around it! I think I can change my scales too. I am too frightened to see how many stones 73kg is!

MostlyHungryAgain · 28/10/2018 14:33

Sorry for multiple messages! I am 11.5 stone :o and would like to be 10 stone by Christmas.

I am also mid whiskey = 107 calories so that rounds me up to 1500 for the day. Gahh.

sola82 · 28/10/2018 15:23

I've been reading along and would love to join in with you all if that's okay?
I have a 6 month old and have been trying to lose the weight through calorie counting on MFP. I was 12st 4 and am currently 11st 6. It's going v slowly due to a lot of stop starting and bingeing Blush. Also my calorie aim is about 1800 as I'm still breastfeeding. Would love to be 10st 13 by Christmas and so a healthy BMI.

OperationTransformation · 28/10/2018 22:19

Hello everybody! There’s lots of us now! I’ll try to get the chance to read back properly later.
In the meantime from a quick scan through it looks like we’re all in the same boat with similar things that trip us up. I’m certain this can be done and particularly if we can beat the emotional/ binge eating into submission.
Weekends are a major problem for me but this weekend I really managed Friday and Saturday we’ll invluding takeaway with friends. Today has been more of an issue but that’s because I had wine last night and I’m really tired as a result. I’m going to go for an alcohol free weekend next weekend and see how I go. Need to try and move a bit more for a few days to try to make up for today. Still trying for 10 lbs off by the end of November. It’s ambitious so if I don’t get there so be it but I want to give it a good go.

MostlyHungryAgain · 29/10/2018 02:19

is it ok to do daily reporting, it keeps me on track.
No weight change overnight. 73.1kg.

Plan for the day: breakfast, 4 ryvita with sugar free marmalade and butter (200?)
lunch: ryvita again but with cucumber, philadelphia and a cupasoup. (300)
Din: aubergine melanzane with a large greek salad (500)

Leaving a window for some extras!

ThrownMuse · 29/10/2018 05:40

Hello everyone!

Mostly feel free to do whatever you want, when you want, and use whichever system makes sense for you! I found logging my food here v helpful though don't do it do much now - but planning is key! I always know what I'm having every day too.

Operation I feel your pain 're weekends! I am also having a wine free couple of weeks to kick start my weight stall so we can help each other through this. It's only 2 weeks!!!

Welcome Sola! Congrats on your little one! Sounds like you are doing really well, esp if you are breastfeeding! Slow and sensible is the best approach (I could eat packets of have a cakes when I was BF, you get so hungry!).

Have a fantastic day everyone. My next weigh in is Sunday 4/11 and hoping for 2 off this week...

ThrownMuse · 29/10/2018 05:41

Jaffa cakes is CLEARLY what I meant!

Oh, and more water and walking this week too.

OperationTransformation · 29/10/2018 08:08

I think daily reporting might help me too! Certainly even just coming on here makes me keep trying.

Today is planned to be:
Breakfast - porridge and a kiwi 214 calories

Lunch - ham and salad pitta, vegetable soup, pear 296 calories

Dinner - Steamed cod with ginger and spring onion and pak choi, brown rice, melon 404 calories

I’ve room for extras if I get hungry - or more likely a bit restless - during the evening. Trying to claw back a little of the damage I did yesterday.

I had to look aubergine melanzane up to see what it is Mostly! Looks delicious!

Thrown I’m with you on the more water, no wine!

duckii · 29/10/2018 08:43

Hey everyone!

Great to see some new people join. It helps as we can support each other!

I agree, when you plan what you are eating it is easier.

Today is a busy day for me but hopefully will stick to my plan.

Breakfast - Boiled egg and a slice of wholemeal toast (Hovis low carb bread)

Lunch - Tuna salad

Dinner - Cod Fish with steamed veg and corn on the cob (need to finish the corn!)

2 litres of water and snacks will be cup a soup/1 cal jellies. A tip I got from @ThrownMuse !

I don't really like fruit but love veg.

Welcome @sola82 I also have a 6 month old. You're doing really well to have lost that already. It's tough with a baby especially when you're BF. I'm aiming to be my ideal weight by babies first birthday... 6 months away, is it possible? 17kg weight loss..

Today is weigh in after a week of re-starting my diet after lots of binge eating and comfort eating. I've lost 2 pounds/1kg.

sola82 · 29/10/2018 10:23

Thanks for the welcome! I'm on a 2 week streak of not binging atm, and trying to stick to no chocolate crisps etc as I don't seem to be able moderate at all and will eat 3 packets of crisps rather than 1!
Duckii 17kg is about 34lb I think? Which is then just over a lb a week to lose which is doable! I have 30lb to lose to get back to my ideal weight. I don't think I'll be there for DS's first birthday but at least I'll be a lot closer than I am now!

Aim for the day is to somehow avoid eating the blueberry muffins and Christmas cake we have left over from DS baptism party yday!

HelloViroids · 29/10/2018 10:56

I am back and shamefaced. Four days of alcohol, hangovers, sugar... and I am 2.5 heavier Blush
However, I am now back on it! Happy Monday to all Flowers

HelloViroids · 29/10/2018 10:59

Missing word was “lbs” - so I suppose I can be grateful it’s not 2.5 kg Grin

MostlyHungryAgain · 29/10/2018 11:00

Operation I am not sure how others make it but I grilled some slices of aubergine while making a tomato sauce (tomatoes/onions/garlic/celery/carrots/oregano) then layered it all together with some slices of cheddar cheese and baked it for about 45 mins.

it is SO delicious and makes you feel like you have had lasagne but without the carby pasta!

Now the only problem is that I'm home unexpectedly early today and I have just had it for 'dinner' but it is only 3pm here. I may have a small snack later

Well done on the loss duckii

Good luck with not having Christmas cake sola

ThrownMuse · 29/10/2018 13:59

Congrats, Duckii, that's a brilliant loss! Well done. I'm having a 10 calorie jelly at my desk as I type - cheers!

Mostly I often have my dinner at 4pm with DS - I find those low cal instant soups helpful to take the edge off and stop me eating again later.

Viroids - no shame here! Life is complex, we all do what we can when we can.

Good luck Sola - can you freeze it/give it away, or just have one slice? I can resist sweet stuff mostly; it's crisps that I can not have in the house!

Failing miserably on the water/walking so far. I will keep trying!

ThrownMuse · 30/10/2018 07:22

Good morning, all - gosh it's chilly now! I love the cold though, so not complaining!

Busy running around day, so hoping to stay on the low side of my calories, and on the high side of my steps!

I feel like I am due on any second (sorry, TMI), which might explain my stalling. I put on a top I bought last year which has always felt a bit tight, and it's def roomier, so really, really hoping I see a loss this week!

Everybody ok?

duckii · 30/10/2018 08:18

It is very cold indeed. Making it harder for me to do my 10k steps now. Don't want baby becoming ill but should be okay if they are wrapped up well? I worry too much!

@ThrownMuse That's great about your top. I can't wait for that to happen.. definitely not happening yet!

@sola82 How did you get on with avoiding the muffins and cake?

@HelloViroids I know how you feel. But 2.5lbs is easy to lose again.

@MostlyHungryAgain That aubergine dish sounds yum. Will have to try it sometime. How did you get on after 3pm?

I have a busy week with in laws coming over to stay till Sunday. This will make it extra hard to stay healthy as they will want to go out and eat. I will just have to watch my portion size. Preparing myself for a gain or no loss at next weigh in

Then I have the whole month of November, and I really need to do see results before December!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

ThrownMuse · 30/10/2018 08:39

Aw, baby will be fine so long as all snuggled up...make sure you are too! Then stop off for a nice coffee somewhere if you need to warm up a bit after doing your steps.

You can do this, enjoy your time with your family and don't self-destruct!

HelloViroids · 30/10/2018 09:38

Definitely think baby will be fine @duckii - very Scandi approach Grin
I have not been doing any exercise to speak of for a few weeks, but just messaged a friend to see if she wants to swim with me after work tomorrow. Also stayed more or less on plan yest (derailed by shortbread at work but only had one!) and have lost 2 of the 2.5lbs from the weekend - suspect it was mainly wine bloat Blush SO am hoping to get back to where I was (12lbs down) asap, and then keep pushing on to see the first stone down!
Good luck all Flowers

ThrownMuse · 30/10/2018 11:48

You've totally got this, Viroids! Wine bloat goes fast on me, too, less so crips/cheese bloat...

My morning meeting was cancelled, so pitiful amount of steps again today...ah well...at least I've got lots of work done!

MostlyHungryAgain · 30/10/2018 12:43

Duckii after 3pm i had a biscuit, a bar of sugar free chocolate, and a bowl of cereal! I was .2kg up this morning. :/

I have also not fared very well today:
Breakfast: 4 ryvita/marmalade
Lunch: Indian parathas
Dinner: Quorn cottage pie & veg (whoever suggested this earlier in the thread thank you as it is filling/comfort food but not too calorific).

That's me done for the day but i have just boiled the kettle and pondering what i have to go with a cuppa!

I feel really podgy today and everything I try on has a huge muffin top spilling over it.

Hope everyone else is having a better day and that it is nice and cool but sunny too.

ThrownMuse · 30/10/2018 12:48

Mostly that sounds fine! How many calories is it all, though? You should be ok.

I've had a banana (100) and a tuna sandwich (300). Have got an enormous urge to binge today (TOTM), but just about to go into a meeting for 2 hours, then straight home - will have my dinner (small portion of pasta) at 4pm if I have to, then an instant soup.

Low cal jelly whilst watching telly to stop me nibbling!

Almost half way through the week...

MostlyHungryAgain · 30/10/2018 12:52

I think the parathas were about a week's worth of calories Confused
