I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

Ohhh bugger I've just weighed myself and I'm back to 14 stone, that's 4.8lbs back on since my last weigh in, however it's not deterred me. I gave up on mfp and clearly that's why!

I've had a coffee and looking forward to eggs for breakfast and a autumnal walk! Gosh it dropped cold last night! We had a village get together (lots of lovely food!) and we were feeding by 8! Kids enjoyed and we all slept in til 7 (I did some feeds in bed and dd sleeps so much longer) much better than the 4:30 wake ups yesterday!

Hope u all have a great day x

ThrownMuse · 23/09/2018 08:28

That's the spirit Orgy! Life happens and that's fine and the changes we are making are slow and steady.

Congrats on the sleep! 👏👏👏

ThrownMuse · 24/09/2018 06:05

Morning all. Not looking forward to this week as stupidly busy and feeling knackered from this lingering cold. Hopefully it will stop me thinking about food!

Usual sort of stuff today: eggs; jacket and beans; quorn cottage pie and peas. Grapes and 10 cal jelly.

Happy Monday all. 🌞

As they say, “Weightloss happens in the kitchen.” In other words: You can’t exercise off a bad diet. Well unless you’re a soldier in training or doing professional athlete levels of activity. If you consider that ten minutes of medium effort on a bike burns about 70 calories. That’s less than ine chocolate digestive. The trick to sustainable dieting is to not eat too little. Work out the calories you require online. It’s called TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) There’s online calculators. And subtract about 500-800 calories from that number and have that as your daily goal. Obviously as you lise weight that number will drop as you need less calories the smaller you are. If you eat too little your body will demand food eventually and your mind will make you binge eat.

OrgyOfBarminess · 24/09/2018 10:39

Morning!!

So happy that the weather is good this week that means we can walk to school. That's 4 miles a day carrying a 10lb without any other exercise is better than nothing.

Managed to keep to just under 2000 calories yesterday including a walk and breastfeeding and I feel so much better. Feeling very optimistic this week.

@ThrownMuse get some lovely soups down you x

ThrownMuse · 24/09/2018 13:36

No chance of that Lila.

Hey Orgy, that's brilliant, you sound like you are making it work for you (urgh, that was cheesy, sorry!).

I've managed to get home and eat sensibly, so feeling good today. I have also managed to juggle my working week so that Thurs and Fri are less stressful, which means I can pace myself and not end up face down in the wine!

How is everybody else doing?

duckii · 24/09/2018 15:51

Hi all! Need to catch up with the posts, had a very busy stressful weekend with a teething 4 month old and purchasing a new house! I caved and had pizza... LOTS of pizza. Woke up feeling motivated as I' realise I have 9 weeks left to lose at least 9kg/20lbs. (Half my target loss) so I better get my skates on and not binge eat again!!
I went for an hour walk this morning, and prepped food for tonight. Spicy chicken and veg with wholemeal pasta and lots of salad.

Hope you all have a lovely week ahead. Sending Positivity Thanks

ThrownMuse · 24/09/2018 21:43

Oh Duckii, you really are dealing with a lot of stressful stuff!

ThrownMuse · 25/09/2018 06:38

Woken up to a delightful cold sore developing. FML!

ThrownMuse · 25/09/2018 06:40

Anyway...food all good yesterday, so eye on the prize this week, wanting to get my loss into the 10 pound area. Then getting into the 14 stone zone will be FANTASTIC!

Funclesmuck · 25/09/2018 06:48

Ahh I found you all again! Weekend was an epic eating failure, together with a few glasses of wine, but totally back on the boat from yesterday. I find myself struggling on a Monday as itssuch a busy day, but today i can really get to grips with batch cooking and getting a menu sorted for the week. Happy Tuesday all.

ThrownMuse · 25/09/2018 08:00

Nothing is a failure, Funcle! We all do what we can, when we can. Life still has to happen. I could never give up wine!

OrgyOfBarminess · 26/09/2018 07:41

This might be a silly question but how much weight can be lost in a week? I know it does depend on calorie intake, exercise and water.

I personally seem to be fluctuating between 13.8 and 14.0lbs over the last couple of weeks. I'm placing the scales in the same spot and weighing in a morning.

ThrownMuse · 26/09/2018 15:59

I honestly don't know! Are you weighing weekly?

OrgyOfBarminess · 26/09/2018 17:55

I'm weighing every couple of days which I know I shouldn't but just so i can see that I'm heading in the right direction.

ThrownMuse · 26/09/2018 19:11

All I can offer is that weight loss isn't linear! I know it's really tempting to weigh every other day but weekly may save your sanity, and offer a clearer picture?

ThrownMuse · 27/09/2018 06:25

Morning, how is everyone today?

Duckii extra shout out to you, hoping you're ok.

Working at home today so lots of will power needed to stay away from the fridge! Really want to see 15.3 tomorrow which takes me to 10 pounds.

I may resort to diet coke!!!

ThrownMuse · 28/09/2018 06:22

Fri 28/09: 15:2. Total loss: 11 pounds.

I'm in the double figures! So next week it'll be amazing to get down to 15, then I'll have 6 weeks to reach my first goal of 1.5 stone. I have a few social events coming up between now and then so fingers crossed I can do it!

Happy Friday everyone. Happy Wineday actually! 😁

Funclesmuck · 28/09/2018 09:00

Morning everyone lost 4lbs!! Very happy with that, and aiming for 3lbs next week so that will be me under 14 stone, will be glad to see the back of that number!

Funclesmuck · 28/09/2018 09:00

Well done to all that have lost aswell. It’s far easier to go on isn’t it!

ThrownMuse · 28/09/2018 09:39

Congrtas Fununcle, that's a fantastic loss!

I'd like to lose 3 too next week so will join you if that's ok? That would take me to 14.13 and out of the 15's! It'll be tough but I'm starting C25K on Sunday so hopefully that will help.

OrgyOfBarminess · 28/09/2018 11:17

Well done @Funclesmuck and @ThrownMuse!!

Hopefully I can join the loss I'm weighing in on Tuesday, managed to step away from the scales Grin

ThrownMuse · 28/09/2018 14:37

We've got you, Orgy, you can do this!

I shall be opening the wine at 5pm!

ThrownMuse · 29/09/2018 06:30

Good morning everybody. How are we all?

I had a lovely evening, drinking wine and eating Thai green curry, but now back on the wagon. Like Orgy am aiming for a 3 pound loss this week, so gotta stay focused!

What are people up to today? Other than a swim party with DS later I have no plans
But the weather looks good so we'll get outside!

ThrownMuse · 30/09/2018 07:56

Happy Sunday all, anyone around today? What are you all up to?
