I am at my highest weight since being pregnant 10 years ago. I am 14 stone and 5ft 6.
I just couldn't stop eating/ bingeing and saw myself go above 12, 13 and now at 14 stone. All put on in a year - a stressful year.

I've resorted my fitbit, got the app and walked 5k yesterday and today with an aim to eat 1200 calories. But food is my mental comfort. Gah
I need new clothes now I'm too fat for everything I own.

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all survived the weekend?

I have a very scary day today, starting something new at work which is amazing but terrifying.

Packing my bag with healthy snacks and determined to keep clear of the crisps!

😁

ThrownMuse · 01/10/2018 18:22

Feeling proud that I survived my tough but rewarding day without the help of chocolate! Or buying wine on the way home either, my usual default on tough days.

Anyone else still around? Don't want to hog the thread but find it oddly essential to keep posting!

OrgyOfBarminess · 02/10/2018 06:47

Hi everyone today is weigh in day and I've managed to get down to 13.8lb bang on!! I averaged 3.2miles a day walking last week and it's made the difference as well as using MFP again staying well down at 1750 calories a day. Some days I have gone over slightly but I've felt full even on the 1750. Hats off to the winter veg!!

ThrownMuse · 02/10/2018 07:15

Congrats Orgy! That's fantastic, you must be thrilled, well done!

Is that your target weight now? Or just your first milestone?

Winter veg is great!

ThrownMuse · 02/10/2018 07:21

Congrats Orgy that's fantastic! You must be thrilled. Gold star! Star

Is this your target weight or first milestone?

ThrownMuse · 02/10/2018 07:22

Oops. So excited I posted twice!

OrgyOfBarminess · 02/10/2018 07:34

Thank you @ThrownMuse x

I'm just trying to get comfortably back into my size 14 jeans. I can get them on and fasten them but they are not comfortable. I used to weigh about 11.3lbs in my early 20's and that was my lowest weight but since I had my DS in 2013 I weighed around the 12.3-12.12 mark so I'm aiming for that really. I'm a pear shape and look really ill under that weight now and I'd have noooo boobs 😂.

ThrownMuse · 02/10/2018 08:26

Clothes as barometers are great, I think, cos they don't lie!

I'm an apple shape so way too booby right now! We should swap!

ThrownMuse · 03/10/2018 08:17

Just a quick good morning - busy day!

Feeling very full of PMT today, bloated and sluggish, so will try and keep myself occupied and not think too much about food.

Hope everyone else is ok...

duckii · 03/10/2018 14:03

Hi! So sorry for not posting.. just gave up and felt guilty so did not want to post and feel even worse

amazing results @ThrownMuse @Funclesmuck @OrgyOfBarminess you guys are doing really well, keep it up.

I've just had a lot going on and decided to not put so much extra pressure on myself with losing weight so quickly because that is NOT going to happen. I'm going on holiday for a week this weekend so I've decided to just enjoy myself and afterwards when I'm back I will resume and be more determined. I might do 5:2, has anyone tried that?

How is everyone doing?

ThrownMuse · 04/10/2018 07:24

Aw, duckii, don't be hard on yourself. You have a very full plate (sorry) right now. Focus on you for now and don't worry. Keep posting - we are all emotional eaters so no reason why we can't discuss anything and everything to do with that!

No failures or guilt here, just support.

I tried and failed on 5:2. It made me obsess about food, so not good for me!

I weighed this morn as a sneak peek and am the bloody same! Stupid PMT!!!

I know my weight loss can be slow so still hoping to reach first target by Fri 9th Nov. 5 weeks to lose 9 pounds...🤞

ThrownMuse · 05/10/2018 06:20

Friday 5th Oct: 14:12. 3 pounds off. Total loss 1 stone 1 pound.

So I'm in the 14's!!!!

Next week is tricky: out for lunch at Wagamama with family (have sourced lowest cal option) on Saturday.

On Monday DS goes on a 2 night school trip, his first trip away from home without us...so DP and I are going out for dinner and beef drippping chips may be involved!

Happy Friday everyone. Wine tonight and chicken pie! 😃

ThrownMuse · 06/10/2018 06:41

Good morning! Anyone still around?

Thoroughly enjoyed my wine and dinner last night but back on it today. We are meeting family for lunch, but I have checked the menu ahead and already know what I'm having (so sad!).

Weather looks a bit wet but we'll still have fun and do lots of walking.

What is everyone else up to?

ThrownMuse · 07/10/2018 06:51

Hello anyone is is still here!

Good food day yesterday even though we went out (we got soaked too). I think so long as I hold it together today and the rest of the week, then Monday's dinner out shouldn't cause too much of a blip.

Considering it's the first child free night DP and I have had in eight years, I'm not going to fret too much!

ThrownMuse · 08/10/2018 06:25

Good morning all - as weird as it feels to post into the void, I'm going to continue as posting dailiy on this thread helps me stay focused!

Really busy day today with lots of walking. Then tonight DP are going out for dinner! DS on a school trip and is a way for TWO nights, our first completely child free time in 8 years! I've been planning my meal for weeks (steak and chips then cheese, and red wine).

Then 3 days to weigh in to pull it back!

Happy Monday and hope everyone is well.

OrgyOfBarminess · 08/10/2018 07:45

@ThrownMuse

That sounds fantastic!!!

I have extreme lurgy so does dh, managed to make some leek and potato soup for us to live off for the next couple of days while we feel crappy and I did do a Sunday dinner which consisted of roast beef, mash and loads of veg. I also had a couple of ciders on Friday night when we lit the fire for the first time this winter BLISS!

I'm weighing in tomorrow and I'm not expecting much but never mind.

Have a good day!!

ThrownMuse · 09/10/2018 08:33

Oh poor you orgy - hope you feel better soon!

How did you get on this morning?

My meal out was incredible. So, so, lovely, and DP and I had a lie in until 6.30am this morning, too. V weird coming home and there's no DS!

Back on it all today though...

OrgyOfBarminess · 09/10/2018 10:19

Do you enjoy all the food?!?!

I'm at a baby shower on Sunday for an afternoon tea, gone for the non alcoholic option to try and keep the calories down.

I need to find my optimism for Thursday Friday because I know I'll be driving the school run and won't be able to exercise so I need to get out with the dogs.

I'm back to 13.8lb I'm getting into more of a routine with some foods like you @ThrownMuse which is helping me stick to my goals on bad days. I'm trying to be more adventurous with evening meals.

ThrownMuse · 09/10/2018 10:25

Oh yes, every mouthful! I had a starter (tiny portion of salmon), main (steak with a green peppercorn sauce, chips and we shared some brocolli with hazelnuts, and cheese and bread with honey, and we shared a bottle of red). It was fantastic!

And just nice being out with DP and not rushing back, and although we are both at work today, no school run! I'm working from home and plan to stay in my PJ's the whole day! DS comes back tomorrow so we can also make the most of not being woken at 5.30am!

Anyway - routines are a good idea, Orgy. I meal plan a lot and it def stops me going off the rails when I'm tired.

What evening meals are you wanting to cook?

OrgyOfBarminess · 09/10/2018 10:35

That sounds amazing, I'm looking forward to having a meal out sometime but everything is still new with the kids etc and I'm not ready to leave dd yet, we're having my sisters dd in a few weeks and I'm excited about that.

I'd really like to try making some Japanese dishes I need to gradually build my confidence and stop cooking large meals for 4 adults when there's only me an dh. Ds usually has something when we get in about 4 or else he's hangry and he's not a fan of spicy food.

ThrownMuse · 09/10/2018 15:30

Aw, all in good time! Having your niece over will be lovely.

I am terrible at Chinese food, I just can't bet any flavour into it, no matter what I do. If you have any success with a Japanse dish, let me know!

ThrownMuse · 11/10/2018 06:24

Morning all. Busy few days but all is well.

How is everyone doing? Weigh in tomorrow! I'm going to have a break from wine on Friday, to compensate for my big Monday blow out. Since coming back from holiday in Aug I have managed to stick to only drinking once a week, and I'm really wary of letting that creep back in!

Work is full on so an 11 day detox will keep me productive too!

Everyone else Ok?

ThrownMuse · 12/10/2018 06:14

12.10.18: 14:12. No loss this week but I know why and those chips were worth it!

Aiming for 3 next week.

Happy Friday everyone. ☺

ThrownMuse · 13/10/2018 06:16

Good morning all - sounds like a windy one here on the coast!

I stayed wine free last night which means I should stay on track for the whole week: aiming to see 14:10 next week.

Already planning my birthday lunch out with DP and DS as it's on a Sunday this year.

Have great Saturdays everyone!

OperationTransformation · 13/10/2018 19:49

Hi there, I haven’t read the whole thread but well done for sticking with it! I’m really struggling. I’m 5’6” and was weighed on Thursday. 13:10.5. I seem to start off ok but then I run out of time, get a bit stressed and eat (big issue with this) don’t plan ahead, get bored, have wine and then eat all the next day... Not all of those on the same day, well maybe sometimes! The list goes on! I’ve started doing a little bit of yoga every day and it seems to be having a real calming effect. I’m amazed how much actually. I just don’t seem to be able to keep the diet going, it’s hard to give it priority with everything else going on. 4 kids, full time stressful job, studying. Have you any tips??
