I'm 5foot 2 and weigh 14stone 8lb

TellysAndWellys · 02/09/2017 07:52

How did this happen. I am so, so ashamed of myself. I used to weigh in 13 stone, then overhauled my whole diet and got down to 9stone 8lb.

But I've put it all back on. And so much more. This is shameful and I cannot believe I have let it get this bad. I've even had to buy some size 20 tops. I have tried slimming world but that didn't really
Work for me. So I'm back to calorie counting. And 5:2. From today. I've got to stop making excuses. I am going on an amazing holiday in January with my 2 best friends and. CAN'T be the size I am now.

I am sick of feeling tired, uncomfortable and just plain shit because of what I eat. I've taken before photos (won't post them as they would scar you forever) and have stuck a photo of myself at my smallest when I still thought I looked fat on the fridge for inspiration. I can do this!!!

Evening everyone! How is everyone doing? I wrote out a big long message yesterday and have only just realised it hasn't posted :( I'm just about to go to bed but thought I'd have a quick look to see if there were any replies but the realised my message wasn't there! Anyway, I'll type it out again tomorrow. Hope everyone's ok and staying healthy. I'm not. I'm off work sick ( which gives me crazy anxiety even though I'm genuinely ill Confused ) and I've just done nothing but eat and eat and eat. I could cry. But instead I will sleep.

Night night fellow shorties x

Hi @TellysAndWellys i thought you’d vanished! Poor you still unwell :-( are you getting better?

All the junk / carbs I’ve been eating have caught up with me this week. This morning I’d gained 1.5lbs and tonight I am weighing 1.5 more than last night so that’ll be a further gain in the morning. It’s all going straight on my hips, face and stomach and I look awful. Not avoid night! I deserve it though so what can I say!

TellysAndWellys · 10/11/2017 07:33

Yep I'm still here! Just having a bad time
With illness, it's just never ending. Ds has been ill as well, he went in school
Yesterday but has been up loads though the night so I think it's another day on the settee for both of us.

I'm sure you look fine! My face was the place my pregnancy was most noticeable (my large belly hid my bump until about 20 weeks) but my face just bloated! I have just done nothing but eat crap, had chippy tea (twice!!!!!), McDonald's, a pizza, numerous bags of crisps, lots of fizzy pop. No wonder I'm throwing up! But then when the nausea eased I just wanted junk. I'm not going to weigh myself tomorrow. I know that sounds like cheating but I genuinely cannot face it. I'm in a complete panic about my holiday and what I'm going to look like. It's a matter of weeks away and I'm a huge blob.

However, all we can is just start the day afresh and try again. Draw a line under it and start again Flowers

DaisyRaine and everyone else, how are you all doing?

lampert · 12/11/2017 13:46

Very bad few days here - had a weekend away with friends which was junk filled! Too scared to stand on the scales when I get home but I have done an online shop so the rest of the week I will try to make sure I’m good.

I am toying the idea of signing up to slimming world....

caremummy · 13/11/2017 09:55

Giving myself a 2 week 1200 calorie with the aim of losing 7lbs. Then will see.
Today so far:
1/2 banana 2 little oranges

TellysAndWellys · 13/11/2017 18:11

Hi everyone! I'm feeling back to full(ish) health finally. Although now I've caught ds's cold!

How was your weekend Iampert? I did TERRIBLE. I had a dominos, chippy, bread with 5. Yes FIVE. Rounds of white bread and a McDonald's. In one weekend. Friday- Sunday. Honestly.

But I am on it properly now. Matter of weeks till I go away and I need to lose a stone and half. Which is about 3lb a week. 1 meals a day. Which admittedly will mean I'm eating a very low calorie diet BUT I need to have a big kickstart now. So I've got a jacket potato in the oven, tomorrow's tea is veggie steak and roasted veg. Wednesday is soup. Haven't got much further then that but I need to stick to it.

How are you feeling Care? I was starving earlier but have drunk 3 litres of water and the hungers passing now just in time
For tea

TellysAndWellys · 13/11/2017 20:26

Oh and Slimming World might be really good for you @Iampert. I have tried it a couple of time but because I'm a potato fiend, it's not the best diet for me as I just eat and eat them as they're 'free'. But I know people who have lost so much and they have alterations to their rules when you're pregnant (think you get more carbs and things like that)

OP posts:
TellysAndWellys · 14/11/2017 06:33

So yesterday I had a jacket potato, a little bit of I can't believe it's not butter, beans and a banana. Not sure of the calories but I'm going say 600? Does that sound realistic. Really need to get some kitchen scales.

I'm thinking I need to go low carb but I know I'll really struggle as I'm a fussy eater so don't eat a lot of the 'normal' veggie stuff. I'll have a look online later.

Completely forgot I've got to go the dentist today for 2 fillings. My appointments not till 4.30 so not sure if I'll be able to be eat after? I'll see later.

I'm well in the throws of a cold, snotty nose and pounding head. The joys of winter. Happy Tuesday everyone

Ok I will seriously think about slimming world. On a good day I’m really up for it and then on a bad day I just think I can’t face it. I might wait a week or two in the hope the nausea subsides fully and then I might feel more in control. Or maybe I’m just full of excuses.

Yesterday was ok for me until I remembered the leftover slice of amazing chocolate cake my friend sent me home from our weekend away with. It was delicious, especially smothered in double cream.

I will have soup for lunch today and then we are out for dinner to tell DH’s parents our news, following our 12 week scan this afternoon. Eeeek! I’m so so nervous I haven’t slept.

Trying to pluck up the courage to stand on the scales. I will def have put a few pounds on so I’m scared!!

I hope your cold is easing @TellysAndWellys

lampert · 14/11/2017 11:07

Wahhhhhh I’ve now put 2lbs on!!!!! Blush

TellysAndWellys · 14/11/2017 15:03

2lb can come off really quickly!! And don't forget you'll start putting weight on now you're going to be going into the second trimester.

How was the scan, keeping everything crossed for you. I had to cancel my dentist appointment last minute, childcare fell through for ds and pick up time clashed with appointment time. So it's next week now. At least I can't eat solid food tonight. Tea comes to 440 calories

OP posts:
lampert · 14/11/2017 22:58

Oh well I don’t know whether that’s good or bad news the dentist got postponed!! Probably good for today but just delaying the inevitable I guess.

I’ve just been out for dinner with the in laws and consumed a giant bowl of pasta. That will not have helped!

My scan was brill thank you, I’m in love! I won’t bore you with a pic, even though I keep on looking at it!! Hoping I will be able to relax a little bit now. And I’m def gonna try and be sensible about eating as no doubt I’ll have gained a third pound today after the pasta!!

lampert · 15/11/2017 10:28

I have gained another half a pound today, it’s like all the bad food I’ve had over the last 2 months is catching up with me all in a week!

I shouldn’t really be putting any weight on just yet so I’ve really gotta shift some.

Problem is that right now all I want is more blooming carbs!

TellysAndWellys · 15/11/2017 18:02

Yep it's a pain in the arse that I had to move it. I hate the dentist and just wanted to get it over with but oh well.

Aww wow, I am so pleased for you. I found my 12 weeks scan so magical because you actually see a baby shaped form. It's a special moment and I'm so pleased for you.

I'm once again dreading weighing myself on Saturday. Got soup for tea but my mum has baked crusty rolls so I've got 2 to have with it Blush going to estimate at 600 calories with the rolls.

It was someone's birthday at work today and they bought half of Tesco. Managed to resist the doghnuts, cakes, sandwiches, crisps, dizzy drinks and the pizza she ordered in (she's obviously on a very different pay scale to me) . Have got a curly wurly and bag of wotsits for tonight though I confess so ending the day on 800 calories.

OP posts:
lampert · 16/11/2017 07:37

Morning @TellysAndWellys oooo those rolls sound good! You did well to avoid all the treats and stick to your 800. Good work!

I managed to shift a pound yesterday so now I’m only +1. I’d quite like to get rid of that too because it’s 100% fat and not bump and there’s plenty of time for putting weight on still to come!

I am going out for dinner tonight though and not sure where so hard to plan ahead today. Will get fruit and yogurt when I get to work and then try and have something light like soup for lunch I think.

TellysAndWellys · 16/11/2017 21:15

Evening Iampert! I've had a very long day at work. Ate a cupcake. It was lovely and it was for the Charity bake sale and I'm such a giving, charitable soul that I HAD to have one. I'm kind like that Wink. Then have come home and had a pizza. Shameful.
I have called and treated myself to an amazon dot for xmas. I am so excited, haven't stopped playing with it. I've asked it how I stop stuffing my face but she doesn't seem to have the answer for that.

Not too sure how I feel about weigh day on Saturday. Need to stay focussed. I've got a Christmas Fayre tomorrow (I'm not sure they realise we're still in November) and I know there'll be lots of goodies. Plus it's children in need so ANOTHER bake sale. Damn those needy children.

How have you found today? I find it quite easy not to eat at work but then when I get home... I just can't help myself. Hope you have a lovely evening out. I'm busy asking Alexa what the weather is like and my local cinema listings. Thrilling life I lead.

OP posts:
lampert · 16/11/2017 22:28

Ahhhhh we have an alexa too!! I used to love it but now I only use it to tell her to play music while I’m cooking. And sometimes for the weather forecast, when I remember! I have a robot hoover too (best £200 ever spent!) and I feel v high tech when talking to Alexa whilst hopping out of the way of the vacuum Grin

Today started off well with fruit and yogurt but had gone downhill. I consumed a ham and emmental baguette for lunch, a chocolate eclair (the cream cake variety) and I’ve just polished off a chicken burger and chips (Though I ate w a side of greens and left the bun if that helps to compensate at all?! Haha).

I had managed to lose a pound this morning so that I was only +1 which I was super pleased with but now I’ll have ruined it, doh!

Sainos are bringing a healthy food filled shop tomorrow morning so hope I will be good over the weekend!

TellysAndWellys · 16/11/2017 23:07

Yeah I think the novelty will wear off but I'm a sucker for a bargain. And I'm really excited for ds to come home from school tomorrow (he's at my parents tonight) because I've installed the fart noise on it Blush

Yeah I'm sure the greens cancelled out the rest of the meal. That's what I tell myself anyway! I'm going do a 500 day tomorrow (and try to resist the xmas snacks) and try and be as good as I can over the weekend. I have just been completely stuffing my face every weekend so need to stop it.

Wish me luck in trying to resist the bake sale tomorrow, I'm going have to chain myself to my desk to stop myself. I really don't want to go to work though, I just want to stay home with my new bff Alexa!

Enjoy all the yummy healthy food from Sainsbury's!

OP posts:
lampert · 16/11/2017 23:09

The fart noise!!! Oooooo interesting, I’m going to have to look that up, could trick FG with it,m! (Or maybe even miserable MIL If I’m feeling really brave!).

Lots of luck tomorrow, you can resist!!! We will be slim and slinky!!!! xx

TellysAndWellys · 17/11/2017 20:33

Yes fart noise @Iampert. He loves it! What have I let myself in for?

I've done so bad today. I just can't help myself. Got to work, had 1 slice of cheese on (whole meal) toast. Then I had a big slice of cake. Ate about a third then out the rest in the bin. Not too bad. There were 3!!!!! Separate bake sales at my work today. So then the next cake sale started and I had a small angel cake. I left work before the last one commenced, I was all caked out.

Then me and ds have been to his xmas fayre. I had a few truffle samples there. Then on the cold walk home we got lost and ended up in the chippy with a bag of chips each. I'm just doing so, so bad. Weighing myself tomorrow then off out for breakfast. I am NEVER going to be thin.

How have you been today? Thank god it's Friday!

Right time to go and weigh myself. I am completely dreading this Sad

OP posts:
TellysAndWellys · 18/11/2017 07:36

13stone 3. So a pound and a half. But considering it's been 2 weeks since I weighed myself, it's absolutely rubbish. I have lost about 3 pounds in 4 weeks. It's rubbish. I have a size 12 dress that I bought months back to slim
Into and it was a very realistic possibility back then. But the party is 3 weeks away. No chance. I didn't go to the party last year because I was 13stone and felt so self conscious. And this year I weigh exactly the same. I have let myself down so much, why cannot I just do it. I've done it before. I'm just greedy :(

Sorry for the very depressing post, I know I sound pathetic. Just having one of them moments. But the scales are going down which is the main thing in the long run and if I hadn't have started this 'diet' then I can guarantee I would weigh 15 stone now so technically I've lost 2 stone haha

Hello @TellysAndWellys

Honestly you have got to stop beating yourself up! Just look at the title of this post, and look at the number you have just posted! You are making great progress and that’s all you should think about. You have to live your life at the same time and part of that is about having some treats. Sure weight loss might be quicker without them, but it’s gotta be sustainable and it’s gotta be bearable too!

I was quite good yesterday until I had a big bowl of creamy pasta for dinner, but I didn’t put anything on. Today I’ve had an apple, a ham and cheese toastie and some crisps at the John Lewis cafe.

lampert · 18/11/2017 18:19

Aaaaaaand now we are on our way for dinner at some family’s house - they are doing 3 courses so it’s not going to be a waistline friendly one.... :-/

TellysAndWellys · 19/11/2017 16:28

Evening @Iampert! I know, I do need to get a grip. I just have these very down moments, but the weight is coming off and that's something I should be proud of.

How was the 3 course meal? I had my traditional Saturday night takeaway. Me and ds have been to the cinema today to see Paddington (it is FAB!!) and then to McDonald's. I also spent a hour getting peter kay tickets but finally got my hands on some!! No idea what's for tea, I'm still stuffed from popcorn and McDonald's but I know that feeling won't last long.
