How did this happen. I am so, so ashamed of myself. I used to weigh in 13 stone, then overhauled my whole diet and got down to 9stone 8lb.

But I've put it all back on. And so much more. This is shameful and I cannot believe I have let it get this bad. I've even had to buy some size 20 tops. I have tried slimming world but that didn't really
Work for me. So I'm back to calorie counting. And 5:2. From today. I've got to stop making excuses. I am going on an amazing holiday in January with my 2 best friends and. CAN'T be the size I am now.

I am sick of feeling tired, uncomfortable and just plain shit because of what I eat. I've taken before photos (won't post them as they would scar you forever) and have stuck a photo of myself at my smallest when I still thought I looked fat on the fridge for inspiration. I can do this!!!

Well done @TellysAndWellys! Great stuff!!

I have developed a new addiction to ice lollies in the last 48 hours, they are a great help with the nausea. Unfortunately they are also disastrously high in sugar so I have just made up some sugar free squash lollies with some moulds I got on amazon. I bet they don't taste as good though!

We are at friends' for dinner tonight so no idea what that will involve. It's usually not very diet-friendly fare though. Before that will probably be lollies, and if I can manage it, toast and cups of tea! :-/

Welcome @AnotherRanger and @catiinbo0ts . Good luck on your journeys!

At least the sunshine is out!! xx

AnotherRanger · 21/10/2017 15:18

1.5lb is a brilliant loss telly they say between 1 and 2 pounds a week is healthy, sustainable loss.

lampert I remember living off ice lollies for the few months of pregnancy especially vimto ones

I'm on 421 cals so far, I don't finish work until 7pm and then I'm going straight to the gym so it'll be a late tea for me which should help curb any snacking hopefully

lampert · 22/10/2017 08:22

Morning ladies, how are you all today?

I had the biggest meal I've eaten in weeks last night, my sickness vanished and I was hungry so I pigged out, ooops!

No idea what's on the menu for today, DH wants to do a roast but I can't get excited. I'm still kinda off meat and it feels like a lot of effort for 2, but he's offering to make it so I'm happy to sit back and let him!!

TellysAndWellys · 22/10/2017 08:55

Morning Everyone. Hope pesky Brian hasn't caused you any problems.

Mmmm I remember the ice lolly addiction too. It'll soon pass but hopefully the home made ones will hit the spot!

Thanks for the well dones Flowers

Your body obviously needs to good Iampert so I say enjoy the pigging out, I bet you feel for it. What did you have?

Well done Ranger!! Did you make it to the gym?

Yesterday I skipped breakfast (not really a breakfast person), then had a cheesey bagel for dinner. Tea was my weekly takeaway so it was pizza, chips and garlic bread for me. Was beautiful. Back on it today, need to be really strict ready for my weekend away next week!

How is everyone else doing?

OP posts:
AnotherRanger · 22/10/2017 09:19

Make sure he washes up too lampert Grin

Pizza, chips and garlic bread sounds amazing telly pizza is always my cheat meal!

I did make it to the gym and really pushed myself and feel so much better for it. I'm just about to attempt to make poached eggs for breakfast before taking DS to a trampoline park.

What's everyone's plans for today?

TellysAndWellys · 22/10/2017 09:46

It was so lovely Ranger!

Well done on going the gym! I need to go to my running club tomorrow, started off so well but then just haven't bothered.

Not much planned for today, currently in my pyjamas watching spongebob with ds. He's off to his dads for half term tonight so I'll be taking up there this afternoon. Really need to make a move and get dressed but it all seems like such an effort. What about you?

Hey everyone!

Yesterday was a terrible(but delicious) day we went out to eat in the evening, Saturday became unofficial date night about a year ago, but because I knew I was eating out I went a bit crazy and ate 3 mr Kipling slices a bag of monster munch and two big slices of bread and butter before we went out.

I’ve it that behind me and started afresh today, walked the dog with dh this morning- I’m not an exercise person, but I really wish I had the motivation some of you guys have! Went out with dh and 2 middle dcs, ds1 is at uni and dd2 is at a friends, they all had breakfast at a cafe, and my goodness it looked and smelled amazing, I had to look the other way from dh’s plate 😋 was quite proud of myself for resisting temptation and I just had a cuppa.

I’ve just had soup and some 89 cal crisps for lunch, making a shepherds pie for dinner as fil was supposed to be coming over but plans have changed and he’s coming tomorrow instead.

I’ve got the week off for half term, which is lovely 😊 I’m currently watching My giant life on TLC - I Love American reality tv!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

catiinbo0ts · 22/10/2017 16:00

I went running yesterday and today for the first time in ages! Not weighing again for a while. Starting strict tomorrow as at parents for a roast today. Am really determined this time.

Well done everyone on your losses 💐

AnotherRanger · 22/10/2017 16:52

Well we did an hour at the trampoline park which I think counts as exercise...it felt like it anyway haha. Then we went to subway for lunch so I just had a veggie delite which was less calories than what I had planned to make at home so guilt free!
I think tea will just be veggie sausages, beans and homemade wedges and I have a little 10cal jelly pot for after.
Still leaves me with 350 calories...what do you guys do with your spare cals? I don't want to use them on junk just for the sake of it but if I don't use them then my calories are on the low side especially for gym days

lampert · 22/10/2017 18:52

Evening everyone. Hope you've had lovely weekends!

@AnotherRanger trampoline park sounds fun!! Definitely counts as exercise!

I've had a grazing day today. Not ideal. Teaching DH to make a shepherds pie at the moment so that's for dinner with some spring greens. Yummy.

I did also discover you can buy tubes of orange smarties today. I made a special trip to a supermarket I don't usually shop in just so I could get some!!!!Blush. Going to have the ration then!

CamdenTownie · 22/10/2017 20:12

@lampert - where did you buy the orange smarties? I’d love to get some for my Mum Smile

I’m finishing the day on 1116 calories, my aim is 1000 so I’m a bit over (I had a tiny piece of chocolate cake - not worth it) but not a terrible day!

lampert · 22/10/2017 21:29

@CamdenTownie I think you can forgive yourself the 16 extra calories.

They were from Asda. They are also delicious but I wish they didn't come in such a big tube because every time I go into the kitchen I keep accidentally helping myself to a few!!!

AnotherRanger · 23/10/2017 20:30

How has everyone got on today?

I went to the gym this morning and have been on my feet all day so I've gone into my exercise cals which I don't usually do. Had a really nice lunch of two poached eggs with spinach cooked in a little butter on a small slice of toast and have had veggie chilli with rice for tea. Enough chilli for the next couple of days lunches too.
I really need to up my healthy fats as my calories are too low each otherwise which is something I never thought I would complain about Grin

lampert · 23/10/2017 21:09

I don't think I should tell you what I've eaten today, but I'm the interests of full disclosure..

For lunch I had some mashed potato, with a shed load of shopped veg mixed in (sort of like a non-fried bubble and squeak I suppose) with cheese and ham for lunch, but an enormous plateful. Then I've eaten hula hoops and cake this afternoon. Was too full for dinner!

Will do better tomorrow. Tomorrow evening we are having breaded chicken with a couple of oven baked sweet potato fries and salad, so lunch needs to be light and healthy.

CamdenTownie · 24/10/2017 15:47

Hey everyone!

On track for 1100 calories today, porridge for breakfast with a banana, was out until about half an hour ago so got a Moroccan chicken salad and falafel pot from boots which was 340 ish calories and some pineapple fingers for 100 calories, having homemade coleslaw and chicken for dinner tonight- looking forward to that Smile

What’s everyone else planning on having tonight?

TellysAndWellys · 24/10/2017 17:15

Hi everyone! Just a quick check in to say I'm still here. I had a terrible migraine yesterday morning, left work and came home to bed. Slept through to 6, woke up and was sick with the pain :( managed to get some sleep and woke up feeling a lot better but still a bit off. Have spent the day in bed (luckily we get flexi time) but I've had nothing to eat since Sunday night :( just couldn't face a thing. Thankfully I'm feeling a lot better now and I'm off out for a curry in half hour so I'll be making up for my lack of eating. Just still feel a bit sick still.

I'll be back later to catch up with everyone

AnotherRanger · 24/10/2017 18:39

Woke up feeling horrible and just wanted to snack all day so I changed mfp to maintainence cals to stay in control of it. Just had tea and I'm currently on 1229 so if I can get through the evening without snacking then I'll still be on track but if I do it won't be the end of the world as long as I stay within the higher cal limit.

CamdenTownie · 24/10/2017 20:40

Looks like a few of us haven’t been feeling great recently!

I’ve had a headache all day and it’s just not going away. I don’t think it helped that I’d promised dd1 a day out shopping as ds2 was at his school holiday job dd2 at a kids club for the day and ds1 is in his 3rd year at uni so very rarely comes home at half term, anyway dd wanted to go into every single shop , we spent over an hour in homesense, even longer in Primark and I had to leave Lush as I had a coughing fit and thought I was going to wet myself Blush (starting to feel like my nan too!) after JD Sports, H&M, River Island, Topshop, Superdrug, Clinton cards(!) TK Max, Wilko, boots (twice) and a few others she finally gave in and we stopped at one of those waffle and crepe places, she had an amazing Nutella crepe with whipped cream and banana and I had a cuppa - at that point I remembered why we don’t do shopping trips too often, she had a good day though, and I tried not to be grumpy!

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better now x

AnotherRanger · 26/10/2017 09:06

Hi guys, how are you all getting on?
I finished yesterday on 1366 so over but not awful. Today I'm going to the gym so I usually eat much better on those days plus I have an induction for a new job later so less chance to snack before tea.
I'll have poached eggs on toast for lunch and some spicy quorn pieces with veg and cous cous for tea. Determined to have a no snacking day!

lampert · 26/10/2017 09:31

Well I have regained the 1lb that I lost, so I'm back where I started but even though it's 100% food I'm going to blame it on the baby!!

I am trying to eat better though, and filling up on lots of veggies. on non-nausea days that's much easier. I'm very worried by how much I'm eating though, I've never been one for breakfast but am now scoffing two small bits of toast first thing, plus a decent lunch and dinner. Eeeeek!!

AnotherRanger · 26/10/2017 18:18

It is much more difficult when pregnant though lampert what with sickness and cravings etc so be kind to yourself. Maybe try having 3 good sized meals a day and fruit for snacks.
I've had a good day so far but it's the evenings that I struggle with. I find it hard to watch tv without having something to munch on however I need to get some work done tonight so typing should keep my greedy hands busy!

TellysAndWellys · 26/10/2017 19:44

Hiya everyone. Sorry I've been MIA. After my migraine from hell I then woke up with tonsillitis Wednesday morning. It has completely knocked me off my feet 😭 Luckily ds is at his dads or I don't know what I would have done. I've literally had 2 meals since sunday, not touched anything else. Feel really weak and dizzy but feel so, so sick and I'm in so much pain I just can't barely get anything down me. Going away for the weekend tomorrow as well :(

Hope everyone is doing ok. Iampert it's going to be harder when you're pregnant because you'll naturally put on weight but you're not using the 'eating for 2' excuse like I did. You're trying your best and making good choices but allowing yourself a treat when needed. Which is the best thing to do.

I'm back off to bed and praying I'll feel better soon. Won't be able weigh myself this week but next week I'm hoping for a 4 stone weight loss Wink

Thanks @TellysAndWellys and @AnotherRanger.

@TellysAndWellys oh you poor thing! Sorry you've been so unwell :-(. Wishing you better tomorrow.

I'm away abroad for the weekend for a wedding from tomorrow night so I might go a bit quiet - back Monday evening. Hopefully being busy and out and about will stop me sitting and eating or thinking about feeling sick! At least I won't be drinking any calories!!

Going to tell my mum about the baby tomorrow, eeeek! I'm only 9 weeks but she's coming to the wedding too and I'll never get by without her noticing, so I'd rather tell her than have her guess. Excited!!

lampert · 30/10/2017 20:29

Have you all abandoned me? @TellysAndWellys @CamdenTownie @AnotherRanger

CamdenTownie · 30/10/2017 20:58

I’m still here @lampert - I thought the thread had been forgotten! How are you feeling now? Has the nausea eased off a bit?

I’m still struggling in with 1000 calories each day, I’d lost 11lb since 1 October, but weighed myself today and was 1lb heavier so 10lb total, I’m hoping to shift another 10lb by Christmas 🎄
