Why "choose" to bottle feed???

I am a breastfeeding mum and I meet lots of mums who said they tried to breastfeed but weren't able to which I can totally understand but My mother-in-law said she "chose" to bottlefeed and didn't bother even trying...

So I am wondering, given the benefits of breastfeeding, why would anyone "choose" to bottlefeed??

There are other threads out there! tbh, I don't often delve into the child-rearing threads. For some reason, I'm always in the wrong

tori, i found babydom very hard and envied everyone else with ONE baby who appeared to be the earth mother type and took to everything like a duck to water. It was soooo refreshing to 'meet' people on here who agreed with me and didn't judge, you obviously will still get the judgers who have strong views about stuff....

I am in fact a strong view person in regards to drugs (the fall out with DH).....i simply do not tolerate them, so posted on here for advice and got lots of 'it's a line of coke, whats the deal?' posts....it upset me at the time, but now realise people are entitled to their view (including dh, unfortunatly, who is in leeds taking way more than is necessary)......

It's nice to know i can come on here, rant about something thensit back and see what i get back - it helps me to understand my kids, my husband, myself.....

Oh god, getting all mushy,i LOVE MN!!!!

me too!lol

Yes, I do agree on the drugs front.Especially where kids are involved. I have strong views on that too. I have seen the damage and ruined lives first hand too.

Meeely2 · 23/08/2007 23:03

thanks tori, thats my view too,
but i have been told i should put my kids first - which i thought i was doing by thinking of leaving, but hey ho, clearly not.....

anyway, all of that is still up in the air and i have grown weary of discussing it - dh is an arse as far as that goes and a god send with regards to other stuff......

i have a weekend 'off' this weekend, so i am doing a lot of thinking.....however these threads provide light relief!

tori32 · 23/08/2007 23:06

Yes, I won't ask you about it because you don't want to discuss it and it depends on how badly it affects your family. Its your choice. But if you do want to rant to me you will get lots of support
