Welcome all to a shiny new thread for moral support during night feeds, general food envy and chit chat Grin

Anyone know if my iPhone will automatically adjust the time and will I know it's done it? If I wake up at three and it says three is it three after its changed the time or should it be two! Realise that makes no sense really, time is very complicated Grin

MiniPopsMum2012 · 27/10/2012 20:38

Clums that's sounds rubbish, wishing you better very soon. Thanks And really hope tonight is better.

This thread moves so fast nowadays, I don't think anyone's offended if they're not name checked. [hgrin]

Susieloo I think it should automatically update, but it might depend on your settings (I don't have an iPhone). Hopefully your little one will sleep all the way through and you won't have to worry [hsmile]

MrsNPattz · 27/10/2012 20:39

iPhone SHOULD do it itself susie [hgrin]

MrsNPattz · 27/10/2012 20:39

But yea, maybe double check settings!

Evilwater · 27/10/2012 21:05

Lo has been to his grandmas all afternoon and is all tired out. Yay!!
Here is to some sleep when it's dark!
Evil
P.s it's very cold tonight.

Smicha · 27/10/2012 21:21

Hi all! This thread really does move fast!

Ds having a feed before bed, he just slept for four hours! A combination of my boobs being full and him being very hungry are making for a very noisy feed!!

MIL wasn't as bad as I feared today, aside from telling me that bf babies shouldn't be sick Hmm.

I forgot about the clock change! I used to love this night of the year for the extra hour in bed! I am not sure what my phone will do so will take my good old fashioned watch to bed too so I can double check!

See you all later.

NervousAt20 · 27/10/2012 21:25

I'm in such a world of my own I didn't even realise the clocks go back tonight Blush

BabyN feeds have been all over the place today so think we're in for a difficult night, we've had alot of hour apart feeds Sad

MummyVicky18 · 27/10/2012 21:36

Hmmm..... debating whether to go to bed or to watch xfactor????

MrsNPattz · 27/10/2012 22:13

Oh dear, we had the most horrendous projectile vomit while on the boob earlier - soaked me right through to my knickers and formed a puddle on my pyjamas [hsad] I burst into tears but little man didn't despite it going all over his face and head bless him! I was just so shocked and worried I think. He is ok but I'm sure he will want fed again soon after emptying his tummy like that!

daisychain76 · 27/10/2012 22:37

Hi guys (waves at evil, nervous and rowing from Nov babies thread). Please can l join. LO is 5 weeks old this Monday, only weighs 4 pound 10 ish(he was 7 weeks early) so think he will be on night feeds (breastfeeding) for a long time yet! He is my 3rd but l am finding the tiredness (and having to get up with older DCs) a complete nightmare this time round!

MiniPopsMum2012 · 27/10/2012 23:27

[hshock] @ MrsN

TeaandHobnobs · 27/10/2012 23:38

Hi daisy and welcome. There are several of us with preemies on here at different stages, so we all sympathise with the 'extended' newborn phase! My DS was 8 weeks early (almost the same weight! 4lb 11.5oz) and turned 6 months (actual) this week. Hope he is doing well. Come share in our moaning, yawning and food envy [hgrin]

First day out in the pushchair today (moved on from the carrycot) - he looked a bit confused, bless him, but I think he will enjoy it once he is used to it. We have a cosytoes now too, as it was fricking cold out today. We went to the zoo, where many animals were sensibly hiding indoors from the cold [hhmm]

DS is now snoring in his crib next to me, and I had better join him. We've had three doses of calpol today because of teeth - I really hope this wave of it is done soon, he is really suffering, poor thing [hsad]

Sprinkling sleepy dust for everyone

Lol smicha your MIL never met my DD1 when she was tiny, never was there a sickier baby! She was EBF and we could go through 5 changes of clothes before even leaving the house in the morning!

Babylump has been fighting sleep for about two hours, she's just had a humongous puke and then dropped off so hoping now she's got that out we can get a few hours kip.

Hope the sleepy mice have been visiting tonight :)

HorridHeffalumpsWickedWoozles · 27/10/2012 23:42

Welcome daisy, how old are your other DCs?

Oh gosh mrsn that sounds pretty dramatic!

NervousAt20 · 27/10/2012 23:48

First feed of the nigh for us, I'm completely exhausted I really hope BabyN sleeps well tonight! DP has had his first day back at work today so I want to leave him to sleep through, normally he gets up on some of the night feeds with us and after I've fed BabyN I go straight back to Ed and he does nappy changing ect bless him but not tonight

Waves back at daisy

Why is it so cold????

NervousAt20 · 28/10/2012 00:13

Hope everyone is catching lots of previous Zzzzzzz's

missingmymarbles · 28/10/2012 00:51

Just quickly checking in. So good to be back in our own bed. Hope Missmarbles thinks the same. She took a while go settle tonight though (not til nearly 9) then woke at 11.40 for a big feed. Hopefully that will be her for 5 or 6 hours, although an also dreading the clock change. Stupidly I should have been in bed hours ago, but have been form filling and other jobs while both DDs in bed.

Vicky, Missmarbles hates getting dressed. It's not the temperature, I don't think; it's physically getting dressed. Bath or no bath, she loves having her clothes off, getting changed it whatever, and whilst she is improving, getting dressed is a right ordeal Grin

BabylonPI · 28/10/2012 01:02

Well my 6 mth old has reverted to newborn regimes againHmm

Sad
funchum8am · 28/10/2012 01:12

First feed since 7 here...think two good early nights on the trot may mean babyfunch is brewing mayhem for me later! Sorry to hear about the bad nights on here...you are all earning good sleep karma!

DH came home from rugby with quite a bad leg plus finally admitting he has a cold. He fell asleep on the sofa just towards the end of Strictly and still hasn't come to bed (though I did wake him to say when I came up!). Now I can feel the cold symptoms starting myself, grrr! Really hope it is not a bad one and that DH recovers quickly so he can be useful over half term since he's off work.

Happy sleeps everyone!

NervousAt20 · 28/10/2012 01:25

Second feed already only on hour later

Smicha · 28/10/2012 01:02

Yes my phone automatically updates as I was awake to see it happen!

Goatbongosanonymous · 28/10/2012 01:10

Goodness, so many lovely posts from all of you, and all day too! [hsmile]

Welcome daisy, and as tea says there are several prems on the thread at different ages and stages - and all still merrily feeding away in the middle of the night! Mine was born at 31+4 and is now 14 weeks, 6 weeks corrected. You are a champion to deal with this as well as two other DCs!

smicha here's to continuing MIL harmony!

mrsn that sounds horrendous!

tea the pushchair is a definite milestone! Such a different perspective on the world for him!

heff marbles and nervous hope the LOs settle for a good stretch!

So what is the food news for tonight? We had Gu melt in the middle Choc orange puds for dessert. With double cream. Yum!

Has taken forever to write this post thanks to a screaming blue murder patch. Is now fast asleep, fingers crossed!

Goatbongosanonymous · 28/10/2012 01:14

Sorry, just seen that I went a little overboard on the exclamation marks again. I think it is a written equivalent of shouting in my own ear to keep myself awake. [hblush]

funchum8am · 28/10/2012 01:46

Second feed has come round all too quickly here too :( babyfunch can fall asleep on me ok but when I put her in her basket she sounds like she can barely breathe with her cold binging her nose up. It is heartbreaking to hear her struggling with it. So more feeding to sleep and staying awake for her to lie on me, I suspect.

Snacks are still cranberry ans peanut cereal bars here! Gu puddings are amazing, am rather jealous goat!

Good luck everyone!
