I'll start by stating I couldn't give two shits about two people I don't know. However, I am finding so much humour in the 'non racist' vitriol from people that don't know them, and who seemingly don't care, yet can't get them out of their mouths! I can't wait for this Oprah interview (that I might not even bother to watch) because I'll find the obsessive thread after thread on this absolutely hilarious. I had a brief look earlier too. Commented on a couple then thought no, I can't be bothered with the weirdness of it all.

I think they're on the one hand hoping for something bad to happen to Meghan, and on the other hand they envy her.

The numerous twists and turns in the oddball armchair psychology, the not so thinly veiled racism. Just miserable and dissatisfied and envious sounding. No way am I going down that rabbit hole.

I've never heard anything about William having an affair. Is this widely documented?
2019. Was widely reported in the International press but only hinted in the UK due to an injunction I believe.

I remember when it came out on my Facebook because it was news in the States and noticed the absolute crickets in the U.K. same with Prince Andrew. Even when PA did that interview, he was still more supported than MM who has done nothing even close to what he did.

I'm sure at this point we have all learnt that there is no intersectionality in feminism, women's rights and equality only matter as they pertain to white women. Lets not even try unpack the clusterfuck that is white feminism and the sidelining of non-white women.

On MN definitely, the obsession with trans people is insane and ridiculous and shows why white feminists and minority feminists struggle to come together. Their priorities are extremely far from those of minorities and there is a show of privilege to be more concerned about an extremely small group of people when many minoritiy women are concerned about issues that directly effect and impact them.

@MorePotatoSalad the situation with Archie is strange because I don't thing there has been a monarch alive before who has legit great-granchildren.

I've read explanations before that because Archie isn't the child of a Prince who is directly inline to the throne he can't be a Prince himself. However what is unprecedented is that it is normal to give such a child a title that relates to his own father's peerage. So as Harry is a Duke Archie should be a "Marquess ".

There were clear issues when Prince Edward had his own children as none of them have the titles "Prince" and "Princess" and they are the Queen's grandchildren. However the children have the title "Viscount" and "Lady" as Prince Edward is an "Earl".

The issue with Archie that they felt was racist is this:

When Charles ascends to the throne, his grandchildren would then be called princes and princesses. This is the usual rule everyone keeps talking about. In this case, Archie, seeing as how William’s children had been given a special allocation already.

H & M’s complaint that while Meghan was pregnant was the RF and the institution wanted to change the rules to deliberately not give Archie the title of prince when Charles became king, thus stripping Archie of his rightful title of prince. That’s why they were implying it was backhanded prejudice.

Edward's children are HRH Prince/Princess but the Wessexes choose not to use the style.

The only great grandchild automatically an HRH Prince would be George as the direct line but the Queen issued letters patent for the other two to be HRHs as well.
In the normal run of things the great grandchildren would become HRH Prince/Prinice automatically when Charles became King but this was to be changed and effectively Archie would be the first great grandchild not to automatically become HRH Prince when his grandfather became king. Apparently nobody in the (white) palace had considered the optics of the first PoC born into the family was also the first not to gain the automatic title.

This might well have been in plan for a long time but coupled with withdrawal of security, the usual whisperings by white family about "what will the baby look like" its easy to see how all this meshed together.

Re Harry falling out with William - always thought that was because Harry was fond of Kate and wasn't happy with William hiking the Apalacchian trail with his neighbours. Kate however seems happy to sign up to the gilded cage. I'd have more respect for her if she had "let it be known" that the story about Meghan making her cry wasn't true.

This stuff about "can't respond" is bollocks, the Cambridges wasted no time issuing a photo opportunity of them on a charter flight when H&M were flown to France on a jet. They kept quiet about their frequent private flights and the fact that one of the charters had to be diverted to accommodate them so was effectively a private flight.

Oh really? But when your English rose Kate left Meghan to drown in a sea of hate because she was accused of bullying Kate and making her cry, she (Kate) was being an angel, right? Meghan was still evil then, wasn't she?

How do you know it was over protocol? Where did you get your info?

And it wasn’t an issue when Meghan was made out to be a bridezilla over it when she was said to be the one to make Kate cry? She said Kate apologised, Kate was a lovely person and that there was no feud between them so how is saying that manipulative?

Watched it live this morning and Alex was excellent calling him out on his weird Meghan obsession and quest to whitesplain racism(though Piers should have learned after being told by 2 black women yesterday).
Social media has been chewing Piers arse up since his comments so I guess he was feeling sensitive, oh well!

She totally described a private vow exchange that anyone could understand they’re treating as when the marriage started as opposed to the public spectacle and she didn’t say she lived under a bloody rock and didn’t know the royal family existed! She quite clearly said, she’s American, and realises she didn’t really understand it.

They’re all twisting over themselves to “prove” she’s lying...

Like it’s a huge shock that the royal family, known to have issues not supporting members, especially spouses and with loads of precedent for being racist... didn’t support her and were racist!

I mean, even if the conversations about skin colour were “innocent” they’re not exactly known for dealing with sensitive issues with empathy.

And the security issue - well other children don’t get security... yeah, but are they getting racist death threats?

The hypocrisy has overfilled the jug. Had he tried to explain himself yet? What excuse can he use that he hasn't already attacked Meghan for using?
