Black men protesting BLM but exclusively dating white women

I’m always confused about black men or men of colour in the media and RL who shout racism/BLM and so on yet when you look at their lifestyle they are married to white women. When you go on to find out more they only ever have dated/married white women.... what are people’s take on this?

Black men are just superior to white men all around it's just a fact.

Racial superiority of any one race is not a direction we should be walking into. It's just yuk.

penelopepitstopsgain · 23/01/2021 18:58

What a shame.
There was a real opportunity with this mumsnet section to dispel myths, raise our game and improve perception vs reality.

Sadly threads like this serve no purpose other than to reinforce the stereotypical view of the bitter black, ill educated woman.

Why are you centering black men in your discussions?

Do you think if they had such a forum they would devote as much energy on you?

Of all the issues facing our community in general and black women specifically take your pick from poverty, domestic and sexual violence, knife crime, obesity, covid ..you focus and get over 200+ comments on the correlation between black men, BLM and white women???
Such a thread should never have been dreamed up never mind generated such a volume of backward views.

I've popped by, made a few contributions to this section and now I'm out.
Good luck!

Kylie, you started with the bigotry! Someone else's post was rightly removed when they wrote the opposite of what you wrote. Yours is just as bad. Pulling someone down to bring another up is not winning!

DivineRoyalty · 23/01/2021 19:51

Though I dont agree with kylie, I dont understand how she put another race down. So praising your own race (especially black ) is now wrong?
Are you waiting for another race to tell you your worth and greatness? You will be waiting for a very long time. African people are the most looked down, degraded race. Other races depend on our insecurities like it's their lifeline, so if she wants to praise her own image then let her do so. Noone else will do it for you.

BlackIsBlackIsBlack · 23/01/2021 19:56

Black men are just superior to white men all around it's just a fact.

In what way?

Imagine if someone had said white men are more superior, you'd have lost your mind!

I'm all for raising the voice and self esteem of the black race, but not like this..

By stating that black men are better than white men@ DivineRoyalty. I would not be amused if I read on here someone saying that white women are better than black women. No one is better than anyone imo, we are all people.

BlackIsBlackIsBlack · 23/01/2021 20:04

KylieGreatorex

Yeah, I really do need to ask that question, the same way I would if someone had made the same statement about white men Hmm

At the end of the day, we love who we love. It's really no Biggie..and it's not a competition.

MaveMay1 · 23/01/2021 20:07

She wasn’t just praising was she? Kylie said black men were superior (to white men).

Look up the definition of superior.

DivineRoyalty · 23/01/2021 20:10

Have you guys been sleeping? The world is in your face telling you that white men and white women are the best everyday. Africa and Asia have a huge skin bleaching problem amongst other issues. Wake up! It is only a problem when the scapegoat dares to speak up. It's no difference to black lives matter vs all lives matter. Other races always wanna be me too when black women dare to set out on her own and declare her greatness, yet black people or black women specifically are never included in their greatness. Kylie keep praising yourself.

KylieGreatorex · 23/01/2021 20:15

@DivineRoyalty thank you for sticking up for a sister. I will never stop praising the wonderful achievements our African brothers and sisters have gained to allow us the opportunity to have our voices heard. Even if it puts a few white noses out of joint.

BlackIsBlackIsBlack · 23/01/2021 20:17

Kylie keep praising yourself.

No one has said that Kylie can't praise herself (FFS). But why does it have to be at some else's expense? It really doesn't make sense to me..and I'm a sensible person.

I can't be arsed dragging this out, let's agree to differ..

DivineRoyalty · 23/01/2021 20:18

MavMay, well that's her opinion. I'd rather hear her say that than hearing a black woman be colourist to her own kids because the slave owners beat whiteness into her ancestors until they believed white is the righteous way to be. I rather hear her say that than see black people calling each other a bunch of racist colorist names.

Afromeg · 23/01/2021 20:19

There's praising and there's comparing. Saying black women are Queens, beautiful, perfect, etc is praising. Saying black women/men are superior to white women/men is still giving white women/men a powerful seat in your life by comparing black people with them and rendering them inferior to feel better. It doesn't matter if they do it - they're completely wrong!

Praise but don't put another down while you're at it. Isn't that what this thread is about? That some black men put black women down to build up white women. It happens in the west and it's terrible.

Don't fight fire with fire in this regard.

DivineRoyalty · 23/01/2021 20:22

She said black men are better, which I dont agree with fully. She ddidnt say anything negative about white men. She just put her own image (which have been dragged through the dirt and trampled over) above another.

BlackIsBlackIsBlack · 23/01/2021 20:23

Even if it puts a few white noses out of joint.

#plot twist, I'm black Hmm
##extra plot twist, just stop with the nonsense! Just because I don't agree with you, doesn't mean that I am not proud of our race. I am allowed a different opinion than yours without being stripped of my 'sisterhood'. You're nuts!

KylieGreatorex · 23/01/2021 20:24

I am not rendering anyone inferior to feel better I am just stating facts. Why are you laying into me?

Black men are the most universally sexually desired ethnicity on the planet by a long margin and that is a contributory factor as to why so many black women find it harder to get a black partner. If you want to blame anybody then blame white and Asian men for not being attractive enough to white and Asian women, rather than blaming black men for having such a wide array of possibilities to choose from.

All that is doing is pitting us against each other.

MaveMay1 · 23/01/2021 20:26

@DivineRoyalty Kylie has a chip on her shoulder. That is her opinion yes and when she was challenged and told a few home truths she didn’t seem to like it. If you speak about another race saying you are better you better back your argument up sister.

Who called Kylie a name though? If you go around saying things like that you bring it on yourself!

Afromeg · 23/01/2021 20:29

I don't know about you but I'd rather black men were desired for who they are than some stereotyped sexual prowess, muscles and bbd. Talk about fetish! Who wants that kind of desire? It's not complimentary in my book but do you.

MiddleClassMother · 23/01/2021 20:30

I thought BLM was about equality, that's what I (and many others) protested for anyways! Why should someone's preference be limited to one race etc?

MaveMay1 · 23/01/2021 20:30

@DivineRoyalty

That is a negative comment. Saying you are superior to someone else generally is negative.

If a white person said she was superior to me because she has longer natural hair is that ok? Look let’s not have double standards here. Speak your truth if you must but don’t pretend you don’t know that Kylie took it a bit far.

BlackIsBlackIsBlack · 23/01/2021 20:35

If you want to blame anybody then blame white and Asian men for not being attractive enough

Huh? Confused

You're from another dimension Grin

Please stop

BlackIsBlackIsBlack · 23/01/2021 20:50

Absolutely agreed. I have sons in their twenties. Both 6 ft 4. I'd be horrified if women spoke of them like this (although I'm sure some have).

Luckily, they are very modest and have the kindest, sweetest natures. I'm not bothered what colour girl they marry. I just want them both to be happy.

DivineRoyalty · 23/01/2021 20:51

MaveMay1, I understand what you are saying but I also understand Kylie.

If a white woman said that she would be absolutely wrong because African women have natural hair that grows even longer and healthier than European hair. She would be right if you wore a weave or wig to imitate her hair. The original version of something always look better than a copy. So it all depends. I have natural hair and my hair grows like wild fire. I have always been known as the black girl with the long hair. I have nothing on me that makes a white or Asian woman think I want to look like them. They would b fully entitled to make a mockery of me if I tried to imitate their image.

JayDot500 · 23/01/2021 20:59

This is all purely physical, and even black men suffer because of this. Whenever people do these desirability polls or studies or whatever, black males are often on top. Black females are concurrently placed at the bottom of our own polls. I get that we should praise ourselves and build up our confidence, but we should not blame ourselves for being at the bottom! God forbid it, we are beautiful.
