Hi,

Is anyone expecting a March baby?

I've just found out I'm pg following a mc in April at 12 weeks, so I need some company

snapdragon3 · 29/06/2010 07:52

Delila So very sorry about your news. Sending lots of love and hope you get on that April/May bus at the beginning of the queue.

snapdragon3 · 29/06/2010 08:03

Spilt With you on the old low BP! Keep a bottle of water with you and keep drinking. In this heat especially!

Mode of delivery has already been discussed with me....I did toy with the VBA2C but being as both kids were big (11lb 8oz and 10lb 1.5oz) and both in bad positions, unable to get out, the likelihood is if I tried I'd end up having an unplanned CS. I might compromise and do like I did last time - wait until 41/42 weeks and have an elective if no arrival. Getting a bit ahead of myself here, mind... a long road ahead. Just want to know how far on I am now - hope I find out today, but I guess I might have to wait until next week.

Feeling better after a good night's kip. Totally missed the thunderstorm! Have gone off fresh coffee - can't bear the smell. It's DH's birthday today and was going to take him coffee in bed but had to make him tea instead... I had Hyperemesis with dd until the day she was born though, so if it's just plain ms I can handle it.

spilttheteaagain · 29/06/2010 08:10

Hyperemesis snapdragon? What a nightmare, and how very brave of you to go for another pregnancy. I really hope this one is a LOT easier. How old is dd?

PinkiePoo · 29/06/2010 08:26

delila so sorry honey. Think positive and i really hope you get the luck you deserve VERY soon.

I had a doctors appointment yesterday. He said i was 7 1/2 weeks and got my booking appointment in 4 weeks time.

Sinking in a bit now, still cautious as back in 2005 i had a termination and day before the op on week 9, i started bleeding, so of course just praying it doesn't happen again.

Sorry for all you lovely ladies with sickness, hope it passes soon. I just have very sore boobs, still got slight period pain cramps and exhausted!!!

sunchild77 · 29/06/2010 08:57

Oh Deliah I'm so sorry too... I echo what the others say and wish you lots of love and luck for the April bus. Im sure I read somewhere that you can be really fertile after a m/c so fingers crossed its good news for you soon..
Take care sweetie x

mixedmamameansbusiness · 29/06/2010 10:46

Wow over a hundred hits already!

Hello, everyone. I just found out yesterday that I am expecting no.3. I have 2 DS's 4.5 and 2.5.

This is third and final for us, but very excited.

I am working part time at the moment as a secretary and due to start my degree in October.... eek.

My calculations suggest due date of 7th March, but need to pop to docs and get it all confirmed.

Very very excited and determined to enjoy every last moment as I wont be doing it again, even the crappy bits.

Right off to read the thread and "meet" you all.

BramblyHedge · 29/06/2010 10:51

Just got a BFP but did pee on the window so not sure if accurate - thoughts? If it is a BFP then it will be no.3 and a total accident (have ds 4 and 2). Not sure where we would put it as in a small 2 bed!

snapdragon3 · 29/06/2010 10:52

Spilt I think I was lucky I got the HG with my first baby because at least I could just die quietly in bed/on sofa with a bucket. DD is 3.5 and when I fell pg with DS, who is 2 I was terrified it would happen again as I started with really bad ms at about 6 weeks but that's all it was and it ended at about 14 weeks. With DD it was all day long every day until she was born.
This time, it seems to be nausea with the odd chunder in a morning when I get up and then when I get really tired - so I think I'm pretty fortunate.

Been to see MW. Had bloods taken, got Bounty pack. Just got to wait for a scan appt now. Starting to feel a bit more real eeeeeeek . Feel like the old woman who lived in a shoe as our house is tiny and at the side of all the other ladies who were waiting for the MW I feel ancient

spilttheteaagain · 29/06/2010 10:55

Congrats mixedmama and Brambly!

My eyes nearly popped out when I read you had peed on the window Brambly... was thinking far too literally and thinking how logistically difficult that sounded (and what a bizarre sight for the neighbours!)

Course then I twigged

I would have thought it's still a real result, you shouldn't get a positive unless HCG is detected. I've not used a test with a window though so not too sure how they work.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 29/06/2010 11:26

I have just caught up.

Hugs for Delilah if she checkes back.

Hello and congrats to mixedmamameansbusiness and BramblyHedge

LOL at the image of the window! More likely to get a false BFN than false BFP even if it did go on the window I would think.

Mixedmama my sentiments are the same as yours - determined to enjoy every second for the same reason!

How the heck am I going to keep up with everything in the house AND squeeze in time on here and facebook?!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 29/06/2010 11:42

Hahahah Snapdragon. Timetables and lists that is how I keep up with absolutally everything. I am so anal.

BramblyHedge · 29/06/2010 12:05

Did another one and avoided the window - still BFP.

Oh dear - not sure what to think really. Think I shall have to invest in triple bunks! Our second bedroom is tiny. I am restarting work in Sept when ds1 starts school - thankfully for my mum's small business - that will go down well.

I know it is a long way off and might not work out (been there before) but all I can think is how are we going to do this?

Slaps self in face and says get a grip

mixedmamameansbusiness · 29/06/2010 12:19

Bramley - these things have a way of working themselves out. I am planning not to return to work this time, as DS1 is starting school and I have an obsessive need to be there everyday at 3.20 and be involved in the school. It is bizarre. DS2 will start nursery in Jan too. Plus I am starting uni in Oct... have been playing it over in my mind and just going to go ahead and do it as I figure the teaching year will be almost over and I will have 2 dates for exmas in May/June, but perhaps no time to revise.

Who knows I might even go back to work?

It will pan out fine you'l see.

sunchild77 · 29/06/2010 12:27

Happy tuesday! and Huge Congrats to the newbies

SO happy to see more folk on baby #3 Ahh its so scary and although Im as happy as anything Im scared about being able to cope... My 2 are off on summer hols from today (scotland) and already bored and trashing the house.... OUt to the park I think...

I'm STARVING and just ate 2 poached eggs and thought "oh shit" Im not supposed to eat soft boiled eggs am I?? Fingers crossed for no food poisoning, or is that an old wives tale? I dunno! Oh well cant be helped now I suppose! :D
Talk soon!

sunchild77 · 29/06/2010 12:28

Oh meant to say LOL at window peeing..... I had the image of some poor woman squatting on a window ledge...LOL

snapdragon3 · 29/06/2010 12:48

Brambly - oh wow. It's a real heartstopper when you feel so unprepared and it's unplanned. But you will find a way, even if it is triple bunks....now there's a thought. But seriously, life seems to chuck a curveball at us every now and again. In time you end up looking back and feeling superimpressed with yourself when you wonder how the heck you managed, but did.

sunchild I'm pretty terrified too, so glad I'm not the only one wondering how I'll manage with more kids than hands. It often feels like herding cats as it is. Dunno about the eggs as I don't eat them but I think there are more risky things to do. It put a lot of things in context for me when someone who lives in France said they carry on eating loads of things on the "no" list here. I'm a big believer in everything in moderation myself

Have just started a new job and wondering how to break the news to my employers. Going to wait until after the scan though.

Madasajarofwasps · 29/06/2010 12:58

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies .

Well I am not really feeling on top form at the moment. This exhaustion is just not funny, I just feel sooooo tired I can't do anything. The house is a tip and I just want a magic wand to sort it all out. A trip to Tesco has just wiped me out. I am also feeling extremely crabby and impatient and then tearful. The things these hormones do to us . I hope I perk up soon.

mixedmamma I am the same, this will be our last and I am determined to enjoy every minute, once the crabby tiredness has lifted .

jeffily · 29/06/2010 13:40

Hello ladies! Can I join?
Got my BFP yesterday, after a couple of months of lurking on the TTC while BFing thread was sure it was going to take ages, but got lucky I guess!
Delighted of course, but a bit scared now it's actually happening- DD will not quite be 2 when this one is born. 2 under 2. I might be a wreck! Feeling ok so far, not really very pg at all. Maybe a little bit queasy and addicted to salt and vinegar pringles and Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream. That might just be an excuse...

Any of you Mac users? I can never find that hash number key on my keyboard... (is it the pregnancy hormones kicking in already?)

mixedmamameansbusiness · 29/06/2010 14:27

Welcome Jiffily... my DS1 was 23 months when DS2 was born. Was hard, but now they really entertain each other. I was lucky though as DS1 was a very placid toddler and wasnt all that jealous etc. The double buggy thing I wanted to avoid this time... that was the hardest thing to be honest not actually 2 little ones.

spilttheteaagain · 29/06/2010 15:16

sunchild the thing with the eggs is about salmonella. However any eggs you get from supermarkets/grocers/butchers etc should all be from vaccinated hens. I suspect it's only a real concern if you get eggs from someone's pet chickens, in which case the hens won't necessarily be vaccinated.

Welcome jeffily, we have the same EDD

sunchild77 · 29/06/2010 15:47

Just phoned up and got booking appt with midwife on 23rd July and 12 week scan on 20th Aug.
