Wow Lovetodance what a rollercoaster for you! Thank God they were on the ball. Just visiting my friend yesterday and her little man was born in march at just under 3lbs as was 7 weeks early too. He is adorable and catching up goodo. My cousins daughter was born at just over 1 lb 4 years ago. You wouldnt know it now!! Do keep us posted and also let us know the little mans name?

Baby movements very strong - feel like she is re-arranging my insides!! When she gets hick ups I start to feel really nauseous. My boys are starting to get quite excited now which is great.
Im off to see Mama Mia tonight. Belated birthday present. Hopefully I will be up to it! Very low evergy these days. Finding it hard to muster myself to nest but then reckon anything I do will be undone in 2 mins by the dynamic duo!!

Love2Dance · 25/07/2010 15:33

Thank you so much for all the support & lovely comments. Sitting here in tears! It's a real comfort to be able to chat about all this.

I'm really excited for you guys. Babies sound like they're getting good & ready!

No names yet (gulp, still struggling with kitten's name!).

parkj83 · 25/07/2010 15:44

Oh bless you *Love2Dance"

Congratulations, and I hope he'll be home with you soon x

And definitely stick around, love to hear updates on how he and you are doing

sassy34264 · 25/07/2010 16:17

lovetodance lol. My daughter keeps going on about a kitten! She mentioned it again today- cos there were some on newsround.
It went like this:
DD -'can we not get one'
Me -'I've already told you......no.
DD - 'Why not?'
Me - Because we're getting two babies, don't you think i'll have enough to bloody well take care of?
DD -'How about a hamster then?
Me -'No'
DD -'A goldfish?'
Me -'No'

I'm a cruel mother!

AliKatt · 25/07/2010 16:49

Hello ladies

I realise I'm a bit late, but I hope you won't mind if I join this thread..? I'm in London, EDD 25/09/10.

Many, many congratulations to L2D!! Fab news that your little one is breathing by himself Hope you find a name for him soon :D

cinnamongreyhound · 25/07/2010 16:53

We found boys names so much harder Love2Dance. Was talking with my friend yesterday about when her little boy was born as she had him at this stage in her pregnancy, he was 5lb 5 but he still stayed in 2 weeks. He was born 2 days before mother's day and on mother's day she went in to see him to find a card and a present next to his incubator

sassy34264 I agree that a few weeks before you give birth to twins is not a good time to be getting a new pet. I'm terrible, luckily DH has said no more or I'd have one of everything! We got a kitten in January to go with our 3 other cats, greyhound and corn snake. We decided no more and that when we lost one of our cats we wouldn't replace it and just keep 2 but I was looking for my stepson at his mum's and they had a ginger tom which I'd always wanted. DH agreed as he thought it would stop me wanting another baby, didn't work as I was pregnant by the time he was ready to pick up!!

Stickhasgrownup · 25/07/2010 19:00

Congratulations Love2dance - Maybe I should dig out my names book as we've still not decided on any! I know how you feel being alone on a postnatal ward as my DC1 was taken to special care. I was in a ward with a mix of mothers with and without babies. I guess they stuck us without together but then had to put some with in too as ran out of room!

mellymooks · 25/07/2010 20:43

Love2dance that is amazing news what a shock it must have been, but I'm so glad they were on the ball and it's fantastic he's breathing on his own.

LOL at your daughter sassy mine asked me the other day if she could have a pet, I said what kind of pet and she said a Guinea-Rabbit!!

Had lovely day in the park today having a picnic for my birthday, my friend is also pregnant and our bumps are pretty much the same size yet she is almost 38 wks and I'm only 32!! Bloody hell I'm gonna be huge by the end! It was my last day at work yesterday, so good to know that's out the way now I can start sorting stuff out and nesting.

coppertop · 25/07/2010 22:42

I hope you had a great birthday, Mellymooks.

I still have absolutely no idea about baby names. I'm indecisive at the best of times though so it's probably not all that surprising.

PickleSarnie · 26/07/2010 08:36

Huuuuuuuge congrats Love2Dance !!

Debs75 · 26/07/2010 08:40

Getting backache here as well, not constantly but a lot, there is no way I would be able to work at this stage. Looking after DC3 is hard enough, I can no longer carry her up stairs without a rest and I am permanently shattered.
Baby is having loads of hiccups as well, luckily I don't feel nauseous with them.

DS has noticed that there is something in my belly and he spent most of yesterday with his hand on my belly or trying to look in my bellybutton. He really likes it when baby kicks.

We have no idea on names this time but as we don't know the sex it makes it so much harder. We only had a name for dc1 before birth, DC2 and 3's were decided when we got home.

Lovetodance Are you at least on the same floor as baby? When I had dc1 on SCBU we were in the same room, some of the more early babies were in a nursery with mums in the next room.

bellabelly · 26/07/2010 08:49

Wow, Love2Dance - congratulations! What a shock for you but sounds like you are coping brilliantly. Hope you are getting to see your son lots and getting chance to rest up and recover a bit yourself. Keep us posted!

skyeplusbump · 26/07/2010 08:55

skyeplusbump · 26/07/2010 08:57

34 weeks today!

PickleSarnie · 26/07/2010 09:20

They are gorgeous skyeplusbump! But how would you be able to choose between them? Guaranteed you'd end up with both (and a lot of explaining to do when you arrived home!)

Monstermuncher · 26/07/2010 09:30

Skyeplusbump - they are sooo cute! Have been wanting to get another cat since I lost mine last year but I think I'll wait until life has calmed down a bit! I'm also at the 34 week mark and am finishing at work this week. I feel like a bit of a wuss as I'm so tired all of the time and really can't do a lot which puts a lot of pressure on DH (who is being a total superstar btw).

skyeplusbump · 26/07/2010 09:31

umm thats true!
i do like the grey one though...
i havent met them yet,i have been known to do things like that...

BooStar · 26/07/2010 10:53

Lovetodance - many many congrats on your little boy!! That's amazing news - so glad he's doing well and breathing by himself? ooh I'm getting all emotional! heaven knows how you must be feeling!!

1 down - 89 to go! Can you believe there are that many of us on the list??

Babyshoes - constant back ache until I lie down and then hip ache whichever side I choose to lie on - very frustrating!

All this talk about kittens!! I really want one too, I've always wanted a british shorthair silver tabby but they are soooo expensive - and then I was given an IOU from my hubby for christmas (we'd been trying for a baby for a long time and I was getting quite down - I think it was his way of trying to provide some sort of substitute) - very excited as you can imagine, got straight onto breeders websites and then got a positive pregnancy test on boxing day!! Still would have liked the kitten but didn't think it was fair to introduce new kitten and new baby into our (very special needs) cat's life in a short space of time!

Can't remember who was talking about needing a wee on the motorway, inconvenient places etc but thought I would share with you all the best gadget I've purchased in a while whizaway
I originally got one for glastonbury (no more squatting!) and got the with the bag attachment as well so i wouldn't have to get out of my tent in the middle of the night and it worked great. However, it also came in useful in the car when we queueing for hours to get offsite so now i keep it with me for any car journeys we may get stuck in traffic in? It's ok as long as there's not a lorry driver pulled up next to you (and you haven't got a car full of friends!)

Quick question - Anyone else's baby getting v.frequent hiccups? I've heard they're normal but how oft is 'normal'? Quite often he get's them up to 4 times a day, quite a lot at night too which is a great combination with the frequent trips to the loo and heartburn - not much sleep happening! Does anyone else find the comments of 'it's all good practice for when the bay comes' really annoying? I'm thinking I'd much prefer to be well rested and dropped in the deep- end

Oooh, got the nursery finished this weekend - feeling v.proud of ourselves!

34 + 5

cinnamongreyhound · 26/07/2010 13:11

My baby has hiccups a lot too BooStar but I sleep like the dead so wouldn't wake me up if it were at night. Baby often wakes DH up at night kicking him if we are cuddled up together but I always sleep through it! Agree with you about it not really being good practice, just knackering to be up at night. Suffering from restless legs which is awful at night but not every night thankfully! We had BFP on boxing day too but had already agreed to have our kitten before that

34+6

SkaterGrrrrl · 26/07/2010 13:38

Congratulations LoveToDance! Is that the first baby of the thread? Its all happening! So glad they acted so quickly.

Welcome to the thread, AliKatt!

We easily agreed on a long list of boys names we both loved but found girls' names nigh impossible. We have our names all picked out now, just have to wait and see what flavour baby we have.

Boostar I took a Whizz Freedom to Glastonbury, they are fantastic. Will be buying one for any friends going travelling or hiking in future! No more squatting .

35 weeks

PickleSarnie · 26/07/2010 13:56

BooStar, I am in awe of your ability to pee in a car. Definitely a skill to be proud off. I was stuck in stationary traffic on the motorway in a blizzard once and attempted to pee in an empty coffee cup through desperation. My nervous bladder just seized up and I just couldn?t do it. Perhaps I should get one of those whizaways for future caught short moments. (p.s. I wasn?t driving. p.p.s. apologies for over-sharing)

skyeplusbump · 26/07/2010 14:10

sooo, my placenta has moved out of the way! hurrah!!

do i celebrate by buying a kitten?!

come on someone justify it for me!!

parkj83 · 26/07/2010 14:17

That's good Skye

The only reason I'd have for not getting the kitten is who would clean up after it...? Aren't we pg ladies supposed to avoid kitty litter?

skyeplusbump · 26/07/2010 14:23

thats what dp's for!
and they are apparently litter trained
they are also £100 though!
i guess it because they're rare breed...
and i am selling a few buggys...

" here kitty, kitty, kitty!"

i think id name her pixie!!

skyeplusbump · 26/07/2010 14:25

ohh park hows your foot?!
