Nemo, I'm 10.30am. I'm excited one minute then terrified the next. I really feel the need to get drunk at the moment to forget everything & stop worrying - how many months til I can drink?

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 19:15

ikwym about the getting drunk

dramaqueen72 · 08/08/2005 19:21

yes thats its secret stork is exactly that -NOT !!!you silly lady! (please only send me babies that sleep........took dd to over 18mths to sleep thro...never got over that!)
no we'd all get one gift from a secret stork -one of us- someone has to collect emails and send each person out someone to be stork too... did that make sense? I'm sure you know what i eman anyhow!
what time are you nemo? george, its going to be FINE, relax.

dramaqueen72 · 08/08/2005 19:22

know what I MEAN, i meant........

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 19:37

im at 9.40 then consultant after where i am going to beg that if i go over by couple of days they induce me...couldnt handle 15 days over again especially with ds..lol

sweetheart · 08/08/2005 20:49

DQ - I know exactly what you mean - I think secret stork is a lovly idea!!!! How do you fancy co-ordinating????

I don't mind helping, I think it's a totally fab idea. I'm in - anyone else???

dramaqueen72 · 08/08/2005 22:59

nemo all my babies have been week/few days early. my midwife tells me this one will be too. so I've never been over due, or that frustrated...altho it got close last time with bad bad back pain -couldnt roll over without tears- I would of done anything to 'get that baby outa there!!' can only imagine how you felt 15 days later. my hospital have a 12 day policy -you can come down here and stay with me if it gets to 12 days late!
so secret stork seems a good idea to us late nighters? sure the morning crowd will be up for it! alrighty then everyone who fancies it, email me with your details by THURSDAY LUNCHTIME.
your details needed are
name and address (i promise not to sell them on to anyone dodgy honest )
when due, gender of baby if known, and anything else you want to add, such as colour of nursery/things you dont want/fact your babies are always huge/tiny/ ETC.
to make it fair I will pick names out of hat and then send an email with your secret stork details on. keep it a secret of course, who you get!
we need to set a rough price limit I think.....
I'm for about £10? unless anyone wants to say higher or lower?
ohhhh, now this is exciting!

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 23:04

ebbie22 · 09/08/2005 09:33

gd luck for the scans.....

scully · 09/08/2005 09:58

Good luck with the scans for today! Ours went well yesterday afternoon - didn't find out the sex, but couldn't see anything either! Very helpful lady scanning who explained everything to us. She said all the measurements were good, and everything was there that should be! Had to give him/her a good prod though as it wasn't in the best position, and at one point had it's finger pointed at us, obviously not impressed with being disturbed. We took dd, who was whispering away questions to dh - she was as interested in the gel and the tissue paper you lie on as with the picture on the screen But I think she liked being involved. Her opinion is that she is having a brother - has been saying that for about 2mths now!
Love the secret santa idea, will just have to remember to email my details.
& I finally remembered to do the tp thing on Sunday! I think I was 7.5, but will try and remember to do it again tonight. Feel (& look like) I have a beach ball under my shirt!

sweetheart · 09/08/2005 10:06

scully, so glad to hear your scan went well!!! Apparently young children can sense what the sex of babies are?!?!?!?! Probably an old wives tale but also if you are beach ball shaped I think thats supposed to be a boy too!!!!!

scully · 09/08/2005 10:10

I am thinking that too SH - very different shape to dd, and have had occassional heartburn this pregnancy (not enough to stop me craving spicy food though) but didn't have it all with dd. & dd has continually said for a while now that she is having a brother. This from someone who wanders around in a fairy outfit most of the time and requests we paint the house and car pink
She was wanting a sister for the first week or two that we told her, and then it changed to being a boy & has remained that way. Can't wait to see if she's right!
Seems a lot more real now I'm over the halfway point and almost viable, & helps being told that everything is developing as it should. Will be Xmas before we know it.....

ebbie22 · 09/08/2005 10:12

Are any of you good at spotting whether you think boy or girl?If u go to www.only1smiler.co.uk and go on left hand side to mumsnetters,u can see a pic of my bump...I am sure its a boy, what do u think?

sweetheart · 09/08/2005 10:23

ebbie, please tell me those piccies were taken a couple of months ago!!!!! Your so tiny And this isn't even your first I am easily twice the size of you, if not three times

Anyway, judgeing by the photos I'd say boy!!!

ebbie22 · 09/08/2005 10:28

No sorry it was a week ago,as was trying to sell the dresses etc,and it didnt do them justice on the hangers, hense why hed chopped off....
I think boy too, what do you think you are having?
I havent really felt any dierent to when i waspregnant with dd,apart from dizyness..

ebbie22 · 09/08/2005 10:29

y doesnt everyone take a photo of there bump and we could guess, and see if we were right...
Would love to do the baby stork..

scully · 09/08/2005 10:34

I would also say boy, as your bump looks like it's a ball shape too - you're much smaller than me too! But as I'm only 5ft tall, there is only one direction for me & that's out! Babies with taller mummies definitely have an advantage with space!

ninah · 09/08/2005 10:35

oh dear, I am definitely beach ball shape!

ninah · 09/08/2005 10:36

or maybe more like a space hopper actually

ebbie22 · 09/08/2005 10:38

I am only 5.4,wish i was taller...dh 5.5 but dd already seems quite tall..
So boy you say,not sure how i feel about that...
