OK so i know its a few months away but who cares!

So heres to US and our BABIES!!
May our bumps grow and our tiredness reduce.
May our beans Kick and our nurseries be sorted!
May our scans be amazing and our remaining months be filled with positivity and calmness and last but not least
May we all hold our babies in our arms and be filled with unconditional love for our much wanted and treasured little miracles!

I have very fond memories of caravaning holidays when I was a child so am hopeing to re-create for dd and bubba.

The bonus is you can wait and see what the weather is going to do and shoot off at the last min which I think is great.

DQ - you can get touring caravans up to 8 birth (I think) I'm sure I saw some on Ebay when I was looking last night. They have bunkbeds for the kids!!!

scully · 08/08/2005 12:58

I've been looking on Ebay for tents SH! Figure people will come back from holiday and decide camping isn't for them, so should be able to pick up a bargain in September! Would love a van of some sort, but figure we have enough stuff to ship back to Australia next year, without a vehicle as well!
Half an hour to go and then I'm off for the day

MINNIE1 · 08/08/2005 12:59

george32, I am so [ENVY] of you... I have another 17wks.. Have a 2 wk holid in between so it might break it up a little. I think i will be pulling a sickie for the last few weeks here!.

george32 · 08/08/2005 13:15

To make everyone even more sick I'm also off for a fortnight in 2 weeks so that means it is only 8 weeks actually in the office! (Promise I'll stop now! )
DQ, I'm very of your holiday in Portugal. What great PIL to have!!
Sh, yep, I think your DH should be able to cope with a caravan after an HGV!!

sweetheart · 08/08/2005 14:22

scully - I'm going to check out Ebay once the summer is over - I'm sure the idea of camping/caravaning appeals while the weather is nice and the kids are on hols - that MUST bump the bidding prices up!!!

Perhaps they'll be cheaper when it's cold and raining!!

GOD - I'm soooooo of everyone's holidays!!!!!!!

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 14:23

ok am sitting here sobbing watching maternity ward..i know i know...some lady has just had a baby at 25weeks and its breathing and doing really well...it just reminded me of how amazing this whole thing is that a baby of 1lb 14 has a good chance of life...but also how big our little beans are inside us now.

sweetheart · 08/08/2005 14:26

Nemo,

Have just been having a similar conversation. I have been waiting until 24 weeks (viable pregnancy) to put my mat leave on the calender at work. I'll be 24 weeks next Sunday - it will be such a big milestone for me. I can't wait!!!!

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 14:27

im the same sweethear i think the 24wk mark will be fab as i have a friend who had her four chidren between 24-27 weeks. Unfortunately her second dd died but it does show how wonderful modern medicine is

sweetheart · 08/08/2005 14:29

I know it's no guarentee - but just the words "viable pregnancy" mean so much!!!!

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 14:30

this prog just said that at 25wks baby has 25%fatality rate...that is really good odds for a baby 3.5mths early

dramaqueen72 · 08/08/2005 14:30

yes nemo, i keep thinking that. I turned 20wks and didnt even realise it til my pg counter on my other board showed up.......and i used to know exactly to the day what i was; 9wks+3 etc etc!
where are all my christmas day due buddies? I have been geting lots of attention at my appointments etc over my due date, I'm really excited about it now. altho the jokes about are you going to call it 'jesus/santa/noel/holly/rudolph' are wearing VERY thin!!!!!!!!!!
s/h an eight berth? blimey.........will go see. my PIL arent that great, well they mean to be but are very 'in your face' and nosey. but yes, handy they have large holiday homeLOL!

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 14:32

lol DQ i had that at my booking in..although i have found out the name natasha means born on the lords bday..so used to be reserved for baby girls around xmas...

ninah · 08/08/2005 14:57

hello! I'm a Secret Santa too! just learned work colleague is also expecting on 25th. Yup, have had a few of those jokes!
Just got back from 2 weeks hol, as sweetheart mentioned, trying to catch up with everything now. Can't get into work mode and feel jaded already, rather than refreshed and full of enthusiasm. Also missing ds a lot, he wasn't best pleased about going to nursery today either ..

starrynight · 08/08/2005 16:40

Well, just had the scan and to continue the theme of the thread he was doing fine

sweetheart · 08/08/2005 16:44

Oh starry CONGRATS!!!!!!!! So glad everything is well for you too.

Blimey - this thread really is filling up with boys isn't it!!!

Just remind me who's had a boy prediction and I'll add them to the stats!!!!!

starrynight · 08/08/2005 16:46

I am sooo thrilled its going well & the children seem very happy that its a boy ("am I going to be a big sister?"-ds - lol). Just those tricky boys names to think of now

sweetheart · 08/08/2005 16:49

so you'll have two of each then starry!?!?!? Ohhhh, how lovely for you!! And for you little ds to have another little boy to play with - ohhh, you must be thrilled

starrynight · 08/08/2005 16:52

yep, 2 of each. It kinda helps with the bedroom situation too as if it was a girl we would have been kind of stuck. So, good news all around. I couldn't believe how easy it was to decipher the scan - the picture must be getting clearer now. He was moving and kicking loads and loads - and was bent double rather than curled up (hope not a taste of things to come!!). He didn't like the scan at all and kept kicking the sonographer

starrynight · 08/08/2005 16:52

Man, babies are soo cute!

starrynight · 08/08/2005 16:54

My DS suggestion for a name was his with a no.5 (??) on the end!

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 17:33

awwww congateds starry am glad all is well and he is kicking away in there

am sooooooooooooooo nervous now

george32 · 08/08/2005 18:59

Starry, what great news. I'm so pleased for you.

Welcome back Ninah. Oh, this working lark is tough going isn't it!

I'd forgotten about the 24 week viability. I might mention it to DP to see if I can buy at least 1 thing after 24 weeks. It might give him a date to aim for to feel comfortable with things being OK.

Nemo, not long to go. We are both going to be fine I'm sure. Fingers crossed for you.
Any news yet Scully? Hope all is OK.

dramaqueen72 · 08/08/2005 19:06

HUGE congrats starry!!!!! woohoo! a boy! so what are you calling him??
welcome back ninah, glad youre back, sorry its not so great being home tho........
talking of secret santa, do you think we could organise a secret stork? I would love to do one with you ladies.

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 19:06

george what time are u again?????????????? I really am scared now not even excited..silly i know

Nemo1977 · 08/08/2005 19:09

DQ sounds a good idea as i was thinking how it will be a shame not acknowledge each others new arrivals despite being on site with each other
