OK so i know its a few months away but who cares!

So heres to US and our BABIES!!
May our bumps grow and our tiredness reduce.
May our beans Kick and our nurseries be sorted!
May our scans be amazing and our remaining months be filled with positivity and calmness and last but not least
May we all hold our babies in our arms and be filled with unconditional love for our much wanted and treasured little miracles!

Bonkerz / Nemo, I've joined you both in feeling totally crap today. No sleep, and feel like I've been run over. I've only just got up and still feel like my head is made of cotton wool. I hope you guys are feeling a bit brighter today.

Sorry to hear about your cold Scully.

Roll on my holiday...............
(Hopefully I'll stop moaning when I come back too! )

Nemo1977 · 17/08/2005 20:05

scully · 18/08/2005 08:59

You don't sound good at all Nemo, did you have this last time? i'm still full of a cold, but at least it hasn't developed into the flu dh had (he was actually more sick than me, surprisingly )
Treating myself to a manicure today - going to a wedding when in Scotland next week so thought I would make a bit of an effort

sweetheart · 18/08/2005 15:54

No posts!!!!

Nemo, Sorry your in such pain. Can you arrange to see your mw early? Have you got a support belt from last time?

My bean has been moving like mad for the last couple of days - and I've suddenly relised how big this baby is getting. Last night it was kicking, punching and headbutting at the same time and I could feel movements in three seperate areas of my tummy - it was very strange. I've been thinking of this baby as something tiny but I relised yesterday it must be a good 20-30 cm long. Don't know why but that really shocked me!!!

scully · 18/08/2005 16:06

I know, very quiet today. So I decided to go back an hour later and have a pedicure as well - wonderful recommend it
Don't really have anything to wear to this wedding now but at least I have lovely feet and hands
Just checked Mothersbliss, they have good weekly updates about the changes to you and baby. From wk23 (me on Sat), I may start to feel Braxton-hicks & the baby is approx 31cm long and weights about 440g/15.5oz

ei23mummy · 18/08/2005 16:19

woah!! how quiet has it been today!!!
sorry youre not feelin at your best nemo!
how is everyone today??
iv bin up to my ears in uni work today so busy busy busy!!
my dp has cleared the bubs room out so he can paint it tonight!!! yay!! it looks so bare now!! you dont realise how much crap u hoard til you need to clear it out! it took me half of last night to organise it all!!!
took a bit of time off to watch lost tho!! is anyone else hooked??

sweetheart · 18/08/2005 16:24

I had a pain like period cramp the other night and wondered if it was a very mild braxton hicks - or just traped wind

31cm sounds quite big to me, I thought they were supposed to be that by the end of the 2nd trimester?!?!?!?!

Just been looking on Baby Center and it says
(week 27), your baby will have grown to about 15 inches/ 38cm from top to toe (10 inches/ 25.5 centimetres from crown to rump).

sweetheart · 18/08/2005 16:25

blimey - from top to toe - actually I suppose that is about right

I was thinking crown to rump

I'm in serious

30cm !!!!!!!!!!! Thats huge

ninah · 18/08/2005 16:27

oh my goodness
feeling a bit queasy now
How did I manage to fit in lunch around that?

sweetheart · 18/08/2005 16:29

My dd was 51cm long at birth - the fact this baby is already 30 (ish) really hits it home that I'm having a baby soon!!!

ei23mummy · 18/08/2005 16:46

wow that seems really huge!!
i read this article yesterday about braxton hicks an it said that it isnt painful until you reach your third trimester! its supposed to feel like tightenings! im nearly 22 wks is that too early to be feeling a bit tight every so often? or could that just be the bub bouncin round?
