JodieO · 30/05/2010 08:50

Morning all. Ex back from hols today or tomorrow and expecting the crap to start up again, sigh. I need to send him an email about the dcs and contact too after speaking to Women's aid which I'm not looking forward to. I (and the dcs) enjoyed the past, stress free, week.

I'm getting some pains quite a lot now, I'm assuming growing and stretching, but it gets really sharp and painful. My boobs are still really painful as well.

OnlyWantsOne · 30/05/2010 09:23

Hi all

hope everyone is ok - and having a good bank holiday?

Im an iphone widow (DP has new phone) ... going to tesco to buy a chicken (yummmmy)

its horrid and crap and rainy here, we were meant to have a big BBQ yesterday but we cancelled it!!

13+4 today and i have officially grown out of my size 10s

JodieO · 30/05/2010 09:27

Hi OWO, it's a bit sunny here but with black clouds too! Rained all day yesterday and looks like there may be more today. Planning on doing some baking with the kids today and a roast dinner later on.

I'm 10+1 today, been wearing my mat clothes for weeks now, definitely have a bump, I'm a size 8 but have been losing weight still too.

Lucypeanut · 30/05/2010 10:35

Hi OWO, I'm off to Tesco too for a chicken, first roast I've made in weeks, as I finally have the energy to spend some time in the kitchen.

Weather pretty grey but at least no rain today

I'm 11+5 today and the bump is starting to show, need to buy some maternity clothes, even my pj's are uncomfortable. I was a 10/12 but let's see how big I end up. Apparently with twins I could look 9 months pregnant at 28 weeks

LLKH · 30/05/2010 10:48

Anyone besides me starting to have a little trouble bending over? I have a bump and yesterday, I could not quite bend over well enough to put my socks on. DH very kindly said "Honey, stop. Let me help," and proceeded to do so.

None of my books mention bending over and the difficulties one might have at all.

NickiSue · 30/05/2010 11:10

Its very windy and dull here too. Perfcet excuse for a day or playing games at home with DS!

I too have quite a bit of a bump LLKH - I'm 12+4 so didnt expect one yet- didnt have with DS if I remember right.

I'm looking for reasonably priced over bump jeans but having no luck, especially as I need a shorter leg ie 29". Does anyone have any ideas where to get some cheap ones? Might post this as a sepeate topic to see if anyone has any ideas. I can't get over how expensive maternity trousers etc are!

ReshapeWhileDamp · 30/05/2010 13:42

Claire I'm so sorry. What a horrible rollercoaster you've been on. Good luck in the future - will you now be able to get your MCs investigated? There is a lot they can do if they can find the cause, and very often, they can.

JodieO · 30/05/2010 14:47

Niki I've bought some under bump jeans from Next and they were reasonably priced, I can't stand the over the bump ones though, they make me feel huge and uncomfortable. I'm quite short too (5ft 3) and they aren't too long either. Some nice tops as well in there.

japhrimel · 30/05/2010 15:28

I've got quite a bump too and, yes, it's making bending over more problematic all ready! Bit scary given I've got another 6 1/2 months of growing ahead.

I got under bump jeans from M&P in a short leg size and they're great, even if I do have to hitch them up occasionally (have lost weight everywhere but my bump & boobs). I tried on some over-the-bump ones and they didn't fit at all as my bump didn't fill the bump band bit.

WalkTheDog · 30/05/2010 16:23

Afternoon all

We've had a little bit of sunshine today and managed to get out and hang some washing. Big achievement for me as the last 3 days have been awful. Felt sick constantly but was only sick once. Thankful woke up today and only feel a bit quesy.

I feel quite far behind you lot, still just 9wks, another 3 wks until my scan and still feel in limbo about getting excited that I am pg.

OH younegst sister is staying over next wknd and my aunt&uncle are visiting tomorrow, it's pretty tough pretending to be normal!

OnlyWantsOne · 30/05/2010 16:24

JodieO - ive bought two pairs of under bump jeans from next in size 10, and they are far too small / tight and horridly uncomfy, however my normal next size 10s were, up until yeterday, comfy as!

Lavitabella · 30/05/2010 16:27

Has anyone bought anything from topshop maternity or asos? I've had a look online and there are some nice bits, but do they fit well?

Changed my name from Lucypeanut by the way, after reading the thread "why did you pick your mumsnet name" I realised you're not supposed to use you real name and I'm having peanuts now not just a peanut!

OnlyWantsOne · 30/05/2010 16:30

like the new name

I bougt a top fromn Asos, its not overly comfy and I cant imagine it will fit long (its not very accomodating in the belly area) even though its maternity.

Wholelottalove · 30/05/2010 16:43

Hi all. lavitabella like your new name

I'm going round SILs to get some mat clothes at some point in the next week. They've done the rounds, and some of them I probably wore first time round, but I don't want to buy too many more. I did get a pair of under bump mat jeans from New Look for about a tenner in the sale a couple of weeks ago.

11+3 today and starting to get (in MIL's words) a little pot belly. Boobs are also still growing.

I got a couple of long vests which will be good to cover the bump v cheaply from Asda the other day too.

Still sicky and actually it seems to be worse this week. Today hasn't been too bad. We've been out in the garden and I think the fresh air is helping.

JodieO · 30/05/2010 17:30

Lavita I don't care about all that lol, I use my real name and am not bothered at all.

OWO - really? I found the Next jeans in a 8 fit me well, if anything they're a bit big and my normal jeans are fine on the legs, bum but not on bump. How odd. My boobs are quite large already though so will need some new bras soon, already an E cup now and I wasn't that until the end with my last baby! Boobs have been the only place I've got strechmarks with all 3 pregnancies and not that much, only a little underneath. Keeping my fingers crossed I don't get any more this time!

JodieO · 30/05/2010 17:31

wholelotta were the vests maternity ones or normal ones?
