tic tac, how could i tell..bless your dh!!!, i dont know if i have a bump under all my layers of flab!

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:24

i had a friend to stay overnight and didnt want to put a dampener on things by feeling so sick, took some anti emetics, but surprisingly didnt feel too bad, felt a bit dizzy and faint occassionally, but sat and stuffed pizza yesterday and garlic bread! and it stayed down!
i have been able to eat quite well today too, is it over???dare i wonder if the sickness is gone for ever??

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:33

me too Space - had a couple of episodes today but sun was shinning - i put windows down in car put Tom Petty on full and felt - well - NORMAL for the first time in weeks! Plus DP suggested something for supper and i just said yes without a ten minute debate!!!! Whats your due date??

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:40

Space - i think its odd that we are due within days of each other with no 5!! What is your gut thoughts about what this one is - did you guess right before - what have you got already?

Were you sicker with dd or ds??

Sorry about question time!!!! A friend said to me today ' forget your fifth you act as though its your first - so excitable!'

Its true!

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:40

11th feb BFM.

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:42

BFM.i am usually sicker with ds's and certainly havent been as sick this time as i was with ds2, it would be nice if its a girl, but also slightly bittersweet as i lost a girl in march at 16 weeks.

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:43

im still paranoid about toxoplasmosis and listeria though!
also dont feel i can relax until i get past the point where i lost the other one IYSWIM

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:45

I am sorry Space. I am quite keen ( daren't even admit to self how keen) for a girl to redress the balance in our house.! I lost a baby in November and was sure inside that it was a girl although lost it at only 10 weeks...... I was sicker with my girl - infact my fourth baby was a pg dream!

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:46

aw,sorry to hear that, i have 2 girls and 2 boys so dont mind what i have, although a girl would be easier from the bedroom point of view!!

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:47

Yeah bedrooms are a nighmre all mine are too split apart in age or else boy/girl its a pain now they are older . We are about to move so should be ok !

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:48

we are having to build an extension!

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:49

plans are done, just waiting for quotes.

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:50

Looks like we have both timed it well!

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:51

How old is your eldest?

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:52

eldest is a girl aged 14.

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:54

you must have big gaps -wow!

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:55

yes, others are
ds 11
ds 4
dd 12 months.
hence cant put any of them in a bedroom together!

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:56

BarefootMama · 05/08/2005 21:56

ohh my scram is ready - speak soon!

spacecadet · 05/08/2005 21:59

i guess so i do yes, catch you again! you can tell me about your brood!

TicTac · 06/08/2005 10:59

Morning ladies. Hope you are all well this morning. I went to see Greaase last night with a bunch of girl friends so have just been catching up with all the chatter.

IXEL - I quite like the Bebe Confort Loola..that's the one we are going to get. I think it might fill your needs Can't help the other other questions though

Space - I think I have chatted to you before about your loss at 16 weeks, I still find it horrifying to read though. I am trying to take some comfort in the fact we have had 2 scans, baby has grown well and everything looks fine and then you are a reminder (in a lovely way) that anything can still happen was there no way they could have spotted or prevented it (it was an umbilical abruption wasn't it?) Please ignore my questions if it's painful...I am sure you know me a bit by now I am so inquisitive!

Right, carpet man here to replace living room carpet (fitted it last week and it has a line running through the middle!) so I best get off the PC!

Blimey... a buggy I haven't yet considered! Off to do some research; thanks for the pointer

TicTac · 06/08/2005 12:52

Ixel - your welcome. I would go to Babies R Us or John Lewis who both stock them. Have a play.. I was very impressed with weight and ease of use!!!

tic-tac, ask away!
I lost my first baby at 26 weeks 15 years ago to placental abruption, viability was still 28 weeks so technically it was noted as a miscarriage, i had been to the hospital on and off for a week with bleeding, but scans showed no cause, they didnt think it was coming from the placental site, the bleeding stopped so i was sent home, next day baby stopped moving, so i returned to hospital where a scan revealed that he had died.the placenta had come away slightly. with my recent miscarriage, no cause was found, as yet i still dont know.
if you thought of all the horrible things that could go wrong, youd spend your pregnancy in misery-enjoy it! i have had 4 children since!, i do still think about my son though. you never forget.

TicTac · 06/08/2005 18:24

Space - Thank you for being so kind and sharing your story. You must be a wonderful woman to carry on with trying for another baby given everything you have been through. So will the hospital keep a real close eye on you this time? I hope so!!!
