Been to the MW today, which went well - all the results back from scan etc showed all developing perfectly (touch wood)! Back at work now, and feeling quite stressed, don't know if I will make it to the end of term... So nice to hear that everyone is doing well, although envious of those with nurseries. Envy Our spare room is used by OH's son when he comes to stay so we have to be economical with space and will have baby in with us until we can move house. Anyone else not slept through the night for ages due to needing the loo/ painful hips/ general fretting?? Or is that just me.....

berrycravings · 06/09/2010 19:01

Hi all,

Welcome kktpj. I had a great weekend shopping for baby things, never had so much fun shopping before. Baby's room is now a mess as still struggling to find new places for all the things that were in that room (twas a junk room), but getting there. DH built the changing table yest and very pleased with it (him being over 6ft couldn't be changing on the floor)

travispickles not slept through the night since just before I found out I was pregnant, can't even remember what it was like! And yep down to either needing to pee, vivid dreams which freak me out when I wake up, painful back. But keep trying to focus on the fact it will be worth it in the end.

Got very stressed at work today, is not good, am I the only one finding 5 days a week tough (no other children) or am I just a bit pathetic? Also has anyone else got people 'breezing and glowing' through their pregnancies at work while you feel like crap and look shit too? Today someone said to me 'oh you caught the sun at the weekend' i replied 'no, thats just the ezecena (sp) spreading across my face'. I'm afraid I seem to have lost the ability to be tactful.

Hope all is well for everyone, sorry about my little moan!

mummychicken · 06/09/2010 20:15

I've been shopping too - doubled up my tesco clubcard vouchers and spent over £50 on nappies!!!

MammaK · 06/09/2010 20:33

Hi everyone, been a while since last been on here, had our scan a couple of weeks back - all is well with baby but a little disappointed in the crap scan pics we got a the little wriggler wouldn't pose! We didn't ask the question this time round (did with dd) but if you look very carefully it may be possible to see that we are having a lizard of some description Grin (not helping my vivid dreams)!
Berrycravings - I spend most of my days looking like an extra from Dawn of the Dead and have very little sleep. Good thing is that I seem to have mastered the headaches (small helpings of caffeine & permanently bespectacled) and have good energy levels!

Hope everyone well and enjoying wrigglings and kickings

xxxx

superparty · 07/09/2010 11:09

Hi all

Off for scan today at 3pm, so getting a tad excited. Am finding out what flavour, so place your bets, already have DS (from pr) and DD, DD, DD and DD with dh so??????

On the topic of no sleep i've not slept a full night for about 17yrs (when 1st child turned up) and last one only being 7months old, she sleeps i look at her?

Think I feel baby moving but as I never felt Erin move ever (but saw it) I'm not to worried especially as she is at present trying to reach the sky box to press buttons and is never still.

Hello to everyone new and hope everyone is well, will promise to read all missed posts later

Waves to mummy and mama hope your both well.

TTFN xx

WalkTheDog · 07/09/2010 15:05

ktpj great news re scan, oh and welcome!

Good news re you scan too splodge77

travispickle I've had problems sleeping for a while, but the last week has been really bad, keep waking up about ever hour - more as my groins and tummy seem to be sorest then. And like berrcravings having vivid dreams too

Hope scan went well superparty

Hope all who are feeling stressed feel better soon. Very glad I haven't found any work, the money would be good but I think I would be struggling to work and do all the day to day things that need doing. I am making very slow progress organising what needs to go into our newly floored loft, rehomed or binned. OH laughs as I make more mess tidying than anyone he knows. But friend gave me a great buddha quote along the lines of "only out of chaos does the dancing bird rise".

OneOf8 · 07/09/2010 16:07

Hi >

I was here back at the end of May when I found out, but then with a scare and then one thing and another had not been back.

Ok to slope back in? This would be my 1st child, and is due mid-Jan Smile

travispickles · 07/09/2010 18:31

Dying to know superparty!!

deedee321 · 07/09/2010 20:38

Love that quote walkthedog.

mummychicken · 07/09/2010 20:54

Hello again oneof8. Glad everything has worked out Smile

Okay ladies - we SERIOUSLY need a new title for a thread, getting very close to 1000!!

sarrita · 07/09/2010 21:05

Welcome OneOf8.

Yes I am keen to know for superparty too.

Travispickle have you tried sleeping with a pillow between your legs? I find that helps with the back ache. Then I can get off my back and on to my side/front supported by the pillow.

Needing to pee I think is part of the training for having to get up in the night to respond to your baby - and so you have to learn how to get back to sleep again. Hope the sleeping improves.

berrcravings I don't have a job and have been stressed about that instead! So I guess it's not perfect which ever which way :(

But it is great hanging out with DS (3.5). Who is being so sweet at the moment. He announced yesterday that he was going to have his baby today. It will be a sister for his favourite teddy -Vinegar - who's his son. He also breastfeeds Vinegar.

All the aches and pains of pregnancy and a wopping varicose vein which goes right up my left leg and is itchy and ugly. Itchy legs that I scratch till the bleed and itchy boobs. Nice. My DH is sooooo lucky. But enjoying having a bit of a bump now to go with my massive boobs. At least it makes my bum look smaller Grin.

superparty · 07/09/2010 21:05

Hi all yummy mummies to be.

Well, all was well with baby scan, we had a trainee too so had a really good look and doubled checked everything with trained sonographer, she asked if we wanted to know sex, and as i didn't really want to know but wasn't bothered i let dh decide, he wanted to. she said what do you already have, boy, girl, girl, girl, girl and they'll probaby send me a naughty boy to finish off. well its a .........................................................................drum roll...................................................................................................................................BOY, omg i was and am still in shock, my ds is pleased as he'll now be able to say hes got 5 sisters and one brother awwww (his dad has a dd as well)

hope everyone is ok x

sarrita · 07/09/2010 21:10
