33, first baby, feel sick as a badger.

seablue I'm freezing all the time! I was so glad you mentioned it, as I wasn't sure it was a symptom, or me just imagining it was a symptom because I don't seem to have any others! Last night I was on the sofa in my fleece and wrapped in a blanket and I was still cold. My DH says he remembers me having the same thing last pregnancy. And I live in Spain for god's sake, so it's never actually very cold!

CLB1 thinking of you. Good luck for Monday's scan. I had a MC in March and totally know where you're coming from, I'm terrified all the time too. I haven't really allowed myself to believe that it's real yet. Sending you lots of positive vibes.

Spotofcheerfulness craving only healthy foods and lots of fruit, such a shame I was looking forward to the extra chocolate eating!!

I can only eat at break times at my work (one in the morning, one at lunch one in the afternoon) but am hungry all the time esp before lunch even though eat none stop through my break. Anyone found food that fills them up? (might have to resort to eating in the toilets between breaks....)

Hello everyone, I'm Madeleine, 27 and this is my second child.EDD 1.1.11 if I've got my dates right!! Got my BFP this week- a total shock..seems like so long ago since my first pregnancy, I have a very lively nearly eight year old who I am sure is going to be over the moon when he finds out he is going to be a big brother! I've got no symptoms apart from sore boobs, but I've woke up this morning with a sore pubic bone???? I had mild PSD the first time round in the third trimester but surely it can't happen at 6 weeks??? Got my first scan Monday- it was arranged early as I had some probs in early pregnancy last time round. Worried I won't see a heartbeat and start panicking but I know it may not be possible so early on???

All these symptoms and cravings so early- I didn't realise it could hit so hard so early as it didn't with DS. i had 10-11 days of awful nausea (ie couldnt eat until 8pm!), thankfully thats ending now it seems, but lower back pain, sore boobs, constantly weeing and awful legs (I suffer badly with varicose veins in pregnancy but this is much earlier than last time!). Isn't it strange how one pregnancy can be so different to another!

I think we know what to look for this time round, last time i had no idea what was going on and missed loads of symptoms. This time it's all a bit more obvious.

I'm also freezing cold, have a hot water bottle on the go which seems ludicrous in May. I only remember having cold feet during first preg.

The whole thing doesn't seem real yet, it took us 9 months trying for DS but this was instant baby. Almost certainly happened the day after we agreed to start trying again, I thought it was already too late for that month - it would appear I was wrong!

Is anyone else considering a private early scan? Feel a bit silly doing it as there is no specific reason but am just feeling anxious that everything is ok and would love heartbeat to be heard and know this pregnancy looks likely to progress. Have just booked one for the 8 week mark, wondered if anyone else was doing similar?

I'm planning to get a private gender scan at sixteen weeks, they are roughly £65 and you get a dvd to keep also. DP is agaisnt finding of the sex but I just can't wait..

Hello lovely ladies I've added myself to the list! Had a BFP 2 days ago, was a bit of a shock as will have 3 under 3 Estimated due date 14th Jan. I have 2ds's a 2.2yrs old and a 10 month old. I'm now very excited, but can't tell anyone (apart form DH obviously ) Cannot believe how early my symptoms have started in this pregnancy, I knew I was pregant last Tuesday night. Had that feeling of complete exhaustion and nausea etc and just knew! Not sure about early scan? How much are they? Do you book them through a private clinic? I am feeling quite paranoid as know a lot of women who have sadly miscarried. And I'm finding it hard to believe that I can have a 3rd pregnacy so soon.

Mamasunshine -know how you feel. We did the deed some time around the 15th-17th April and I felt pregnant by 26th. I felt so pregnant I did a test the next day - 8 days before I was due and of course it was negative. I waited and waited and got a BFP on the 2nd May, 4 days before I was due. It now seems that all of the symptoms have stopped, apart from being hungry and feeling cold, which could just be the rubbish weather. I do have a sore boob, but I'm still breastfeeding DS and have a blocked duct. Boo!! Hope everyone is having fun.

Hello everyone!
Can I add myself please? I am very surprised to find myself here as thought I didn't ov this month. Even more surprised as didn't have a positive test for two weeks despite no period. So either I don't have high levels of Hcg or I ov'd late. I guess I'm going to have to wait for a scan to find out. What shall I put as my EDD? The one according to my LMP (usually pretty regular) or the date according to possible late ov??? Will put LMP date but it may be 2 weeks out!

Oh, and this is a 2nd time for me. It has taken us 5.5yrs to be brave enough to go through it all again... I am terrified but excited too!

Nice to see the list getting longer. Also glad the there are other women on here who are pg post-mc. Whoever it was (sorry forgot your name) who joined who was on the Oct thread is in good company. I was on that thread too before my mc so I am hoping this time I get to stay on the ante-natal thread and its all a very uneventful pg.

maddyj - interedting to hear you say about pelvic pain. I had bad back and PGP last time from about 24 weeks and already I am getting twinges. Was really hoping I was making it up but now you've said you are too I am very worried I am not. Without a car, living on a hill and with a 14 month old I could really do without the PGP pain starting too early!

Re early scans. I'm in too minds. I haven't been to the gp yet, will probably go end of the week. They might want me to have an early scan as dating post mc isn't that easy (could techically be just over 8 weeks instead of the 6.5 weeks I think I am and there is a narrow window for the nuchal scan so you need to be fairly certain of your dates) so I am not sure whether they will take my word for it or not. Be lovely to have an early scan but I don't want one till 8 weeks at least, as statistically if you see at heartbeat at 8 weeks the odds of survival are much greater, I think something like 90/95%. If I don't get an nhs one I'm not sure if I'll pay for one. They are only £60 down here, which isn't too bad, but its still £60. I did in my first pg but I was working then, now I am a SAHM money is much tighter and it does seem a bit of a waste for the sake of waiting a few more weeks. If I am going to mc again a scan will make no difference. I am just going to have to live with the fear of mcing again, nothing I can do to change it, I will be more worried this time but it is something I have no control over. Sadly 1 in 4 of us will mc, some people will leave this thread but most pgs survive and most of us will be here all the way through, I just hope that this time I am one of the lucky ones.

Nervously signing in. I can't believe it, I just sold the cot! Got DS (6) and DD (2), but I'm very excited, hoping all will be well. Not got many symptoms, just extreme tiredness and a bit of back ache.

Added myself - hello to all and congratulation to everyone.

29, first pregnancy and very scared. I'm horribly paranoid about MC - no reason to be particularly, but I haven't had any 'real' symptoms yet. I am tired but not enough to sleep, hungry and I've cried at everything from elections to erections and I'm normally very cool headed... but nothing like I imagined.

Have also had cramps - period pain like and a few very mild sharper pains in the ovary area but as I've devoured 4 pregnancy books in 2 weeks I'm not so worried as it is aparently v normal and no spotting. Booking in is at 8+ weeks here, looking forward to it very much - if I ask for an early scan will they do it there???

Re alcohol - Im a moderate drinker and haven't touched a drop since BFP (about 5 G&T's the day before though whoops) - DH in a fit of compassion said he would also cut down and hasn't - driving me mad. I feel so left out. I'm quite determined not to drink but I didn't realise just how hard it would be to quit. Anyone else suddenly realising how much they drank? Re not drinking, I've told my best friends as it would have been too obvious but I went to a BBQ yesterday, had a soda waster with lime and no one could tell the difference!

And - what the F is AF? these acronyms are very confusing, I don't even text speak!!! learning though...

I think fears over MC are completely normal. I think some of the problem is that there is too much information available so, any and all of it makes you paranoid. If it is any help, I am also very worried although I've had one healthy baby and no history of MC.

I didn't have a laptop with 1st pg and therefore didn't google every thing whilset watching eastenders! So was less worried.

Wait til the baby arrives - THEN you can start to worry about EVERYTHING!!!

PS Congratulations and crying at the elections is DEFINITELY a symptom. Not every one gets Soap opera morning sickness. With DS I didn't know I was pg and at one point I remember thinking "I feel a but queasy.... never mind another glass of wine and a fag and I won't notice!!"
