Hi everyone, Have added myself. 2nd PG - MC in January, so everything crossed this time (except my legs - thats how I got to join in here!) Very excited and worried. Feel constantly sick, boobs were already massive, and losing sight of my feet already!

Evening all. Hope today has been a good day for you all x

I'm posting with a small rant whinge lol! I was expecting a call today from the hospital as my GP had asked them to do an early viability scan (after previous probs). 4.50pm I get a call from the person at the hospital asking to speak to the Dr about a patient, (whoops!) and she was very confused when she realised the number she had was for me not the Dr. She said she felt it was too early for a scan (I am 6+ weeks I think, and by next week 7+ week) and she would have thought 8wks+ would be better. I told her that I had a 6wk+ scan last time and she umm'd and ahh'd and will speak to the fertility consultant (who I am still waiting for an appointment to see about fertility treatment!) and the GP, and the fertility nurse who scanned me back in 2005 for my m/c and with DS to see if she can fit me in one Wednesday. (And after the call I check my scan pic for DS and realised it was 7wks not 6wk like I told her so feel an plum!).
I really did feel like a pain in the ass/ a whinger/ and a tiny bit precious. She didn't realise that I had an hour appointment with her back in November last year etc or really what the scan was for. I've no idea what will happen now, other than someone will call me this week.

Sigh

Sorry all, just needed to rant. Aside from the fact I'm desperate to know that this much wanted pregnancy is ok, but also- GP has me booked in at MW earlier than usual and I desperately need to see her so I can THEN get referred back to the hospital to get compression stockings/tights as my veins have erupted very quickly and I'm in agony daily

Someone give me a vitual slap and tell me to stop being a baby lol

LadyBuzz · 12/05/2010 19:36

Hello, can I sneak in, I had a very faint positive this morning (tested 4 days early) am am going to re test on Friday or Saturday.
Wasn't going to post here but I am too excited and can't tell any RL people just yet.

I think I will be due Jan 22nd with DC3.

I won't add myself to the list just yet - don't want to tempt fate too much!

NickiSue · 12/05/2010 19:40

LadyBuzz Oh congrats! I know it's early for you so so will whisper it, but still chuffed for you! xxx

CLB1 · 12/05/2010 20:30

Hay all

Hay NickiSue you don't need a virtual slap, you need a very big hug. Its a very stressful time and your aloud to be a tiny bit precious.

Minniemooo and LadyBuzz congrats to you both, Big Smiles.

careylouwho · 12/05/2010 22:56

Hello lay-deez,

I'm also now preggers. I was due on today but had cramps a few days ago but then no period - very unusual for me. I felt sick all the next day so took test yesterday and I passed! I took a digi last night and it too declared me with child so here I am. I feel queasy all day but eating seems to help, driving does not. I have had light crampy feelings on and off, have big, sore boobs and ahem very moist lady parts. I really didn't think all this palaver would start so soon!

It's my first pregnancy and I'm 32 for another 16 days.

I've not managed to catch up with all the posts yet but promise to do so very soon. Look forward to finding out about youse all.

LadyBuzz Congrats on the digital positive! I got a positive on a "normal" test in the morning and didn't really believe it. But I got home and cracked out the digi and sure enough it said "Pregnant 1-2 weeks". It was so bloody convincing. Loving the digis! x

mummychicken · 13/05/2010 21:11

Very few symptoms here STILL and I'm nearly 6 weeks. I feel a bit sick when I go to bed at night and boobs a little bit sore, but apart from that I wouldn't know I was pregnant!

Could kill a glass of wine - so the revulsion towards alcohol hasn't kicked in either!

LadyBuzz · 13/05/2010 21:28

the only symptom I have had is a piercing I have keeps flaring up, It has allways been quite hormonal whilst AF was visiting but never before and thats what made me suspicious.

Other then that nada!

Reb01 · 13/05/2010 23:04

Hi mummychicken and ladybuzz,

No symptoms here either, just a tad tired, but am sure thats because I'm eatng like a horse to overcome my nicotine cravings (gave up when I got my bfp). Am 6 weeks too so hoping I start to feel pregnant soon!

Rock on morning sickness

verycherry82 · 14/05/2010 09:17

Morning everyone,

How are we all today?

I had my early scan yesterday and it was amazing! We could see the heart beating and there was a little bean on the screen. I'm 6 weeks and 5 days which is further along than I thought I was.

All very exciting and I'm so glad I went. I can't wait for the next one now!!

xx

LadyBuzz · 14/05/2010 09:19

verycherry brilliant news. so pleased for you!

Partyofseven · 14/05/2010 10:28

Morning all

well today should be af day, but so far nothing, i don't feel like its going to happen, but i don't want to get ahead of my self, so will continue to lurk quietly until something positive happens.

congrats verycherry exciting

forgive my ignorance but what is a bfp, i presume its a positive test but what does it stand for. thanks

LadyBuzz · 14/05/2010 11:53

partyofseven it stands for Big Fat Positive.

Fingers crossed all is well with you

NickiSue · 14/05/2010 12:51

veryberry82 Congrats hun! Sooo pleased for you hun xxx

NickiSue · 14/05/2010 12:52

veryberry??? Um verycherry lol.

FunkyMonkey1983 · 14/05/2010 14:23

Is anyone else getting morning sickness? I feel quesy most of the time but have just started being very sick in the mornings and I'm beginning to be sick every time I've eaten.

It's a bit of a nightmare as I have to get up earlier than usual to get it out of my system before I start work at 9am!

Plus, the only thing that doesn't make me sick at the moment is doughnuts...!

This is my first and I didn't realise I would be so sick.

careylouwho · 14/05/2010 15:36

FunkyMonkey - That sucks!!! So sorry you're feeling so rough. I'm only queasy so far but then I'm only 4-5 weeks. I seem to either be ravenous or nauseous.

verycherry - Great news about the scan! Must have been amazing to hear the heartbeat.

partyofseven I'm thinking you'll be here officially very soon

NickiSue · 14/05/2010 18:16

Quick update- early scan booked for 26th May then MW on 27th. GP wanted me in this week ideally but bint at the hosp is being especially obstructive (below post doesnt even begin to explain and after the conversation I had with her today well grrr!). BUT it's a date at least

Right post and run! Back later - hope everyone is ok! x

mamasunshine · 14/05/2010 19:33

Hi everyone. Hope you've all had a good few days. I'm feeling suprisingly well have been for a couple of runs this week, and planning on going out again on the weekend. It's been giving me so much energy to get through the day.

CLB1 - Yes, I've heard that eating dry toast before you even get out of bed is supposed to be helpful. Eating little and often will help. Have you tried the anti sickness bands? They sell them in Boots, work on the accupressure points on wrists, I must say they're amazing Also you can take ginger, either capsules, drink or eat it, very good for nausea. I hope you're not feeling too rough. It must be extra hard if you work shifts too.

vercherry82 - Congrats on your early scan , I'm so pleased everything went well!!

nickisue - I think you just need lots of hugs too I can't imagine how stressful pregnancy must be when you've experienced a miscarriage. Some of these health professionals really need to be more sensitive, I'm for you! Sending a big hud to all of the ladies on this thread who need a squeeze

hardygirl · 14/05/2010 21:25

Tired now! I'm working 10 days on the trot and I'm not looking forward to the weekend as I will miss DS and DH who will be having lots of fun together. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Partyofseven · 14/05/2010 22:51

funkymonkey i'm to hear the only thing that doesn't make you sick is doughnuts although i'm pretty sure it won't be good for you waistline but hey your having a baby who cares, your body wants what it wants and its very good at telling you, enjoy while it lasts it may turn to coal or rocks or something equally awful

thanks careylouwho i hope so

nice post mamasunshine, after mine (would have been dc3) the attitude was almost well you have two so...... some professionals just aren't professional because they see so many situations all the time, but when its you its personal and i feel it should warrant some empathy. but i can say the more babys you have the worse it gets, i'm scared that if i am they will just give me a can of gas and air and say off you go

enjoy and have lovely weekends and i'll check back in with update if any news x
