Hello! Just worked out my due date is 4 Jan, 2001. I'm 33 and already have a DS, nearly 17 months. .

spotofcheerfulness · 06/05/2010 14:10

Erm, that should be 2011. . Not a very clever way to introduce myself....

Louindevon · 06/05/2010 16:22

Hello lovely Mums to be!

I've had my first day of feeling pregnant today, well, by that I mean I've felt alternately staving, then queasy, and so tired this afternoon, I am literally having to prop my eyelids open!!

Feeling rubbish, but hey, its cos I'm pregnant, so is rather exciting too!

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow so only 2 more weeks until my first midwife appointment. Its going pretty fast so far!

Hope everyone well today? And, many congrats to all who have joined us!

Margie32 · 06/05/2010 16:56

Hi everyone,

NickiSue that's great that you're being taken care of so well, I'm sure it'll make the whole process a lot more stress-free.

Louindevon I'm 6 weeks tomorrow as well! I'm starving all the time too, and had my first wave of nausea yesterday afternoon, but thankfully I haven't had another one since then. I have to say that time is going SO slowly for me, I just want to fast forward to the first scan!

I've been freaking out a bit, as I've noticed quite a lot of weird discharge over the last few days (sorry to gross you all out!) and it's even been tinged pink on a few occasions which has sent me into full-on panic mode. But I've just read that that is quite normal in early pregnancy, so I'm feeling a bit more relieved. I reckon that as long as I don't have cramps or bleeding I should be ok, right?

seablue · 06/05/2010 17:55

Hello! Can I join you? I'm 34 and this is our first pregnancy. We've been trying for a year, so I'm really hoping it sticks!

I had really sore breasts from 13-16DPO, but then they went away. The pains, not the breasts. Am obviously now convinced this is very ominous! Not feeling sick either, or going to the loo more. Am a bit thirsty and tired. Not that I want to start feeling like crap, but still...

Very glad to read all your drinking stories. I was so convinced we were never going to get pregnant I totally fell off the wagon in this 2ww. The drunkest I've been during all our time tcc. Bloody typical!

Hope you're all blooming.

hackneyzoo · 06/05/2010 19:22

Wow, the symptoms have started today...feeling pretty nauseous and have a real need to eat meat and crisps! very healthy. Am starting to remember the morning sickness from the last 2, hopefully it will wear off quickly. Hope everyone else is feeling good...a load of us seemed to drop off the bottom of the list so I added us back on...its getting quite long!

Just added myself on.
Not had any major symptoms yet apart from sore boobs, but awaiting the craving for scotch eggs and cola bottles I had last time.
I remember totally going off any vegetables, I wonder if that's why my DS is now a vegetable phobe....
Oh, and I also consumed merrily before getting a BFP, but will wait til second trimester for next bev. Am not really gagging for it anyway right now, though I am of DP's glass of wine he's about to tuck into. I chose the bottle and everything!

Just adding myself to the list - forgot last time! Very tired, dragged myself to the polling station and am now going to bed. Don't recall being this tired first time round, but then again, my DS is a handful and I went on a massive trek round London today. Serves me right! Happy first few weeks everyone!!

Hey Ladies,

Would like to join you.

My first baby is due 13th January. I'm 41 so a bit of an old bird!!

Only symptoms at the mo is tiredness, more sensitive to smells.

Boobs not a bit sore or bigger -shame as I'm not reallywell endowed - but time to grow I guess.

Am having twinges in my sides which I belive is experienced by a number of women.

LS x

deedee321 · 07/05/2010 09:07

Congratulations everyone! Still hasn't sunk in for me yet...am in that ridiculous stage when you actually want awful symptoms so you know it is really happening! Clearly blocking out the memories of the horrendous morning sickness I had last time

mummychicken · 07/05/2010 09:36

deedee321 I know what you mean - I spent the 2ww imagining every symptom under the sun and then I got a BFP - they all disappeared. The tell tale for me last time was sore boobs but I don't think that happened til about week 6. I'm only on week 5. It is completely ridiculous to WANT sore boobs and to feel sick, but it will make it seem more real.

There is something to be said about not POAS too early!!!

NickiSue · 07/05/2010 10:22

Hello all joining us
Hope everyone is well this morning- i for one am shattered, woke up at midnight with sore legs (varicose veins in pg yay!) and made the huge mistake of coming downstairs to watch the Election on BBC.
Tonight: Bed by 9pm!

seablue · 07/05/2010 11:39

Morning all. Is anyone else really cold? Since conception I've been freezing all the time. I mean I know it's hardly high summer but I'm getting these ridiculous shivering fits. But my skin feels hot. But I'm not ill. The craziness begins...

spotofcheerfulness · 07/05/2010 11:45

I should have watched the election coverage too, NickiSue, I was awake because my neighbour has just had a new baby and he was screaming all night. It's all coming back.....Think positive

FunkyMonkey1983 · 07/05/2010 13:45

My symptoms seem to be kicking off now!

I'm just over 5 weeks and I find that if I don't eat I feel like I'm going to be sick but when I do eat I feel a bit sick and really tired and want to lie down. Bit of a nightmare as I work full time so lying down after lunch isn't an option!

Also, every time I see food that has mayonnaise in it I gag. I was at the supermarket buying a sandwich and I spotted pasta salad. I had to run away from it as I started gagging!

I hope I don't feel like this for the whole 9 months!

CLB1 · 07/05/2010 16:28

Congrats to you all...

I don't wana join just yet, but I had positive test 2 weeks ago, possible due date 30/12 to 02/01???? Didn't take note of period after MC.

MC in Feb, a very horrific experience. I am so scared this time, I haven't allowed myself to hope yet. I have a scan on Monday to make sure everything is okay. I may add myself after that.

Just wanted to say I wish you all luck and hope to join you soon

CB

mummychicken · 07/05/2010 18:07

CLB1 I really hope everything is fine on Monday

deedee321 · 07/05/2010 19:09

Hope you join us soon CLB1, bet the wait till Monday seems eternal. All the best.
FunkyMonkey I am jealous of your fantastic symptoms

iamaLeafontheWind · 07/05/2010 20:08

I gave in & took my spare pg test. Yup, still pg.

We had our first pg related argument, DH accidentally told his boss and I was not impressed - I barely believe it yet & I'm definitely not ready for anyone else to know!

Good luck for Monday CLB1.

No one mention screaming babies, I've only just recovered from the 12 months sleep deprivation caused by DD1. Does anyone know who the Goddess of Good Sleepers is? I want to make an offering.

berrycravings · 07/05/2010 20:56

Hello all,
This is my first, think i'm due between 2nd-6th Jan (have a 5 week cycle so not sure). Very nervous, but have been very tired (almost falling asleep at work) and so so hungry, even been getting up in the night to eat. Often getting cramps as well which is making me a little nervous

spotofcheerfulness · 07/05/2010 21:14

Iamaleaf, our DS has only started sporadically sleeping through at 17 months so how we even managed to conceive DC2 is nothing short of a miracle {grin].

I get cramps too, berrycravings, I think it's quite a normal symptom so long as it's not agonising IYSWIM. Are you just craving berries? Lucky you if you are! I wish I was - all I want is scotch eggs and milky bars.

Am vvvvv tired today. Only eating is stopping me falling asleep.

NickiSue · 08/05/2010 00:53

Well, was in bed by 7pm, have slept- and am now back up and watching NCIS lol! So much for catching up! Legs are killing me!
Just a quickie- I might be going a bit mad, I formula fed Kieran and plan to do the same with no2 BUT where has Farleys milk gone? It was £4.98 a tin four years ago- it's disappeared now and all milks appear to be £7+ wow!

Hi CLB1 - Hope to see you settled in here soon x

Spotofcheerfulness Yes, why did we stay up again? Lol. I haven't been able to vote actually- none of us here are as our local UKIP candidate died suddenly at the end of April so they have to give the party time to prep another candidate so our election has been pushed to 27th May!
PS Notice we are both down as 4th Jan due (well until dating scans lol!) x

mummychicken · 08/05/2010 07:39

NickiSue Farleys is now called Nurture, When it changed it's name, it gained £3, I changed to Aptimel (sp?) as it was cheaper

NickiSue · 08/05/2010 08:19

Thanks mummychicken - I must have missed the new gold edging on the tins to warrant the increase! Blooming heck lol! I wonder why the big change.

PrincessAli · 08/05/2010 08:35

Hello everybody.

I am 32 and our first baby is due on January 7th.

So excited but also scared as had an ectopic in 2003.

Got some cramping and my boobs are like bowling balls but apart from that all is well so far.

Good luck and good wishes to you all.
