SilverSky · 13/04/2010 21:52

RubyTuesday I fank you. Will be trying to fulfil that task without peeing on my hand.

Cosmosis · 13/04/2010 22:05

silver I use a funnel. classy.

fecked off big time here. TGO has 6 weeks of notice left to work, he's handed over pretty much everything so has nothing to do. Fuckers won't let him finish early, he has been reprimanded for excessive use of internet. bastards.

My work have just rung me about a problem I cannot do anything with till tomorrow but that I will now be up all night worrying about. Bastards.

everyone is a bastard. bastard bastards.

CUNextTuesday · 13/04/2010 22:57

You are allowed to wash your hands afterwards - wee is sterile

Ponymum · 13/04/2010 22:57

curls Congrats on house! The Country Dwellers Association will shortly be forwarding you your standard issue green wellies and labrador. Also soz about your pains. I had my doubts at the time about being dubbed "the one with the worst hips" and I now think I definitely have to hand that title over to you.

silver I have MW appt tomorrow. I always manage to pee all over my hand while gathering my sample. It seems to be getting worse as the pg progresses. Possible reasons: 1. I can't see past my bump anymore. 2. Completely random direction of jet fountain (possibly due to pandy-style extra foof padding interference?? Ewww...)

MrP and I are having a major crisis tonight over the sabbatical plans. I was trying to talk to him about accommodation arrangements and it suddenly dawned on him what a mental undertaking it is to travel to the other side of the world for 3 mths with a 3 mth old baby and toddler and nowhere to stay. He has been so preoccupied with major work stuff that he just hadn't picked up on my worries. Now I think we're finally on the same wavelength, but have some major decisions to make...

The foal patted my tummy today and said, with some confidence, 'Baby'.

CUNextTuesday · 13/04/2010 23:01

...as opposed to, say, 'artichoke'

Ponymum · 13/04/2010 23:08

cunty I just hope she knows what she's talking about! Do they even make gender-neutral clothing for artichoke babies?

CUNextTuesday · 13/04/2010 23:11

Best you ask cossie

reginaMonologue · 14/04/2010 08:16

snot, snot, snot cough

morning all!

SkaterGrrrrl · 14/04/2010 08:47

Hey all, had a good time Down Under. Hot Milk bras are the best thing since gin. I have a proper bump now, baby's flutterings are turning into definite kicks and am starting to get backache at night! My EDD for Ski's NotList is 1 September. How are the baybees?

Great news about your new house, Curly

I see you've all taken up baking and knitting, I feel inadequate. The only crafty thing I can do with my hands is adhere 3 rizlas together to make a perfect cone, a skill I dont see much call for in my future.

PollyPoo · 14/04/2010 10:23

Helloooo... Can I come in? I'm looking for Gaspar, or anyone else who did temping?

I've only gone and bagged myself a 100% genuine triphasic chart. Casp has had a look and thinks it looks promising, and quite similar to hers when she won. I was just wondering about bleeding though - not that I'm having any. But I think Casp did - did your bleeding coincide with the drops in temp?

Here is link to my chart if anyone wants a look - it is the first triphasic one I've had (in a whole 6 months of temping ). It probably just means the TCM and acupuncture is working and finally raising my pathetically low progesterone levels.

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2b93a5

Forts anyone?

Anyway PESHies, how the devil are you all? I am enjoying stalking you looking at the photos of your bumps!

Cosmosis · 14/04/2010 10:46

I cannot help at all but will cross all my fingers and toes and eyes and shiz.

skibum are you feeling any better today?

Artichokes are easy to clothe neutrally. Hollandaise sauce, it's kind of creamy yellow innit.

CurlyCasper · 14/04/2010 10:47

Hi poo. Let me see...

My big dip was, according to all research, far too early for implantation. (5DPO). This was not accompanied by any bleeding.

I then had a little bleed that i thought was droid at the end of the week before I got the BFP (should have charted this TBH, but actually just gave up hope). That could well have coincided with the second dip at 9DPO, but it had stopped by the time I went away to Brighton that weekend. (and what a weekend it was!)

I had a later bleed, after pregnancy confirmed, which the GP also put down to implantation.

I think we have to view implantation as an ongoing "nesting" process than a single event with dips and bleeds coinciding. That's way too straight forward!

Not sure if that helps. But am crossing allsorts for you.

Ponymum · 14/04/2010 10:56

poopoo Hmmm... Dare I say it looks a leetle bit promising? Actually does look a bit like mine when I won. But I'm not all that familiar with the Fertility Friend codes. Did you SWI enough?

As for the foal's baby / artichoke comment, you can scrap all that now. This morning she patted MrP's tummy and pronounced 'Baby'. So much for being thrilled that she has understood all the stuff I've been telling her about her new little baby brother/ sister/ artichoke - I guess she just thinks it's the new word for tummy.

Ponymum · 14/04/2010 10:57

PS. poo I had no bleeding at all.

OkieCokie · 14/04/2010 11:23

Poo you chart looks very pretty and colourful I must say - reminds me of physics/maths lessons when I was younger. I have no idea what it means though as I never temped but I have everything but my legs crossed for you as we need a BESH influx. I think me and Wit were the last so there has been a bit of a drought.

carrotsarenottheonlyvegetable · 14/04/2010 11:30

Hey all,

Running in and out, quickly catching up but can't reply properly yet.

poo good to see you! How're you doing my lovely? Sorry I can't help with temps but hope it works out SOOON. Can't wait to have you join us here!

I'm feeling fab today, no aches etc, learnt new crawling thing at AT last night = either really works (ie no aches) or teacher is videoing us all to sell to highest bidder, "who can earn the most getting people to dos tupid things". Will share later but it's really good. Also good for foetal positioning which we 26-ers should be starting now, just to get used to the exercises.

Gotta run, back later hopefully.

xxx

skihorse · 14/04/2010 12:10

hello everyone - I'm doing OK although still sick and have been beaten by the foreign language. I phoned this morning for an appointment but was really out of it and got the menu system all wrong, by the time I phoned back just before 12 realising my mistake it was too late for an appointment today. I seem to have managed to order a repeat prescription for my anti-julian drugs though - another lovely 4:30am start from "my little prince". Jailbait didn't sleep because he was worried about me stopping breathing in the night. All fun & games.

Silver, cossie and I were lucky enough to have the same "problem" - it meant we got a lot of use out of our normal clothes before having to make the switch to maternity.

polly I hope very much that this is the one for you, I really do!

reg The coughing/wheezing/sneezing doesn't count unless you involuntarily do the world's tiniest wee in your gusset too.

Ponymum · 14/04/2010 13:01

ski That is such crap. Really wish you would stop being so sick.

Just got back from MW. I have high glucose for the second time. Is anyone an expert on this? She said it's either I'm eating too much sugary food (I don't have a sweet tooth at all) or my kidneys aren't coping, or both. Gave me big scary talk about ending up with permanent diabetes if I don't modertate my sugar intake. I'm really not sure what to cut back. Maybe will have marmite on my toast instead of marmalade? Would switching to wholemeal bread/pasta help at all?

In other news, MW has pronounced that baby is currently breech. I'm only 31+, and likely to have a c-s anyway, but it's not really good news is it. The worst thing is that cheggers is nowhere around to give advice and I have no idea where my mask and snorkel is.

skihorse · 14/04/2010 13:09

ponymum Thanks... but it could be a lot worse - so I spend some time looking at the toilet and I'm heaving as I run to it - but I'm not hospitalised on a drip! Toast/pasta are the devils tools - they are massively high in carbs - you'll need to try and go low-GI if you want to stop spikes in your blood sugars. My mum is a Type I diabetic (started during second pregnancy) who spend decades trying to avoid sugar by eating cereals/breads etc. - when it turns out they were absolutely the last thing she needed. If you're going to have bread - one filled with loads of seeds/nuts would be great and then slather it with butter - the fats in the butter will slow the absorption rate so you won't get those glucose spikes. I think marmite would be a fucker because the yeasts would react with the glucose in your blood stream possibly exacerbating the problem or at least leading you directly in to thrush-central. Bread affects my blood sugars terribly but I get on really well with the German-style pumpernickel breads.

curly I was reading my what to expect book this morning and it suggests that the "hull" shaped abdomen could well be Braxton Hicks rather than the separation of muscle - what thinks you? It could be possible I think because when it happens my tummy goes really hard, pointy and then rounded again.

reginaMonologue · 14/04/2010 13:16

poo I started charting as soon as I came off the pill, and did so for the preceding 8 months , at which point I had my first "ideal" chart in which I promptly got pregnant. On that chart of mine, I had a very pronounced and clear ovulation temperature shift, and my temperature has since fluctuated between 36.9 and 37.0 but no greater difference that 0.1 of a degree.

Not sure if that helps, as everyone charts differently even when they're up the duff - also my cycles were about 28 days, so a bit longer than yours, and my normal basal temperature before ovulation is also a bit higher than yours (around 36.4) making a comparison a bit tricky.

My advice, do a test - looks like you're overdue your period by a couple of days maybe?

ski I'll dedicate my next incontinent moment to you

Ponymum · 14/04/2010 13:19

ski Oh dear, sounds like I need a major rethink of my diet. I like pumpernickel so will get some of that. Will also go off and research low GI. Just what I need. Can't I just be in de Nile?

The pg humiliation continues. While I was in the little town where the GP surgery is I thought I'd better get some things at the Co-op as we are running out of essentials (milk, tissues for random weeping, crisps, you know). I slowly waddled in with my crutches, and on the way really old ladies we're tutting behind me and pushing past, whizzing by with their tartan trollies. Then at the counter the assistant asked if I needed help carrying to the car and of course I had to say yes - but an old man next to me offered to carry my shopping for me! He was really nice but I was so embarassed. Grey haired OAPs are now fitter, faster, and stronger than me.

CurlyCasper · 14/04/2010 13:55

sickyski My bump only does the when I tense my muscles (like when moving from lying down to sitting) and I know my stomach muscles are very centred (actually said I'm hoping their freakiness will lead to no/less separation than is usual) so that's what I was blaming it on. Just made me laugh really. I've yet to see my body do it involuntarily...

And my stomach muscles are much less painful now I'm consciously not using them.

Have had a few hard belly moments but think that's just bladder/baby.

Prob loads of x-posts now cause I had to leave office for half an hour...

PollyPoo · 14/04/2010 14:22

Laydeez fanks ever so for the reassurances and kindnesses. I guess the only real answer is to POAS. I am now officially Not Thinking About It. At least until Friday anyway - if I have not met the bleepy fucker I will POAS. By Friday I will be CD 28/11 DPO. Seeing as I only usually last til 8 DPO, or 9 on a good month, FF says I should be able to test accurately by then.

BTW, no we didn't shag very much - only the once on the saturday morning - ov'd on Easter Monday. (We were at SIL's over Easter, no chance of the secs when TG was on the sofa downstairs and I was upstairs with Boo. And yes, SIL of the cuntkicking!) Mind you, that is all we managed with Boo and that all worked out OK.

You will be the first to know the results on Fri. Ok, maybe not quite first, but definitely way up there.

Ski so sorry to hear you are so pukey, that sucks. Hope it clears up soon - are you in 3rd trimester yet?

Catch you later PESHies, and thanks again!

Cosmosis · 14/04/2010 15:38
