Aussie welcome to my life.... I've now written c. 16,000 words but probably have another 6ish plus figures to do in the next fortnight. So I can erm, have some time off once it's done.... apart from the big presentation I have to do! :s It is quite an incentive though.

Cherry hopefully your mum will get better soon; at least you offered to look after the LO's.... if she says she's OK to then there's not alot you can do.

Vix I forgot to say congrats on the breast feeding decision. You've decided to try to do your best and that's all that anyone can ask for. I'm now kitted up with a breast pump to hopefully make the whole breast feeding thing easier; maybe once you've got going investing in one might be a plan so as to allow your DH to take some of the slack with the feeding?

(BTW anyone thinking about ordering the medela swing pump from John Lewis - don't. I'm now on to my third delivery as the seal on the box was broken on the previous two, the boxes bashed and the contents dirty. Yuk. And they won't send me pump number three until number two has been received back at the warehouse.... boo! They tend to be quite good on the compensation front though so maybe I'll get some vouchers.)

MrsZac how are you doing my dear? I'm still waiting for my pillow to be delivered from M&P (same one you have) really hoping it comes in stock soon as my back ache is getting beyond a joke... I only ordered it from M&P in the first place so that I could use the opportunity of paying postage to get some of the other stuff I wanted!

Is anyone getting a nursing chair? I've decided we really need one, and my Mum has very kindly said she'll get it for my birthday (yay!) but most of them are hideous aren't they??? The only one I vaguely like is the Kensington one JL stock. Also on the nursery front I've just ordered some samples of light grey paint... as DH has finally given in and said that he'll get rid of the hideous peach the previous owners had in the nursery -to-be! Yay!

If I was wobbly last night, I am tearful now! Thanks guys for your understanding and compassion - I was a bit nervous at the kind of reactions I would get because (as my sister proved) you just never know!

I love the vix appreciation society Made me laugh out loud

Wishing you all soft skin and lots of energy, I seem to have enough to go around for everyone at the moment - a bit like the duracell bunny LOL

Love to you all xx

I did get cake at the toddler group, white chocolate and raspberry [drool] I nicked the rest for you lot

We'd been there about an hour (decided to go despite DD's bumped head) when a lady announced that her kids weren't there because they all had chicken pox but they must be non-contagious because another lady's 3 children were all there yesterday and they're fine That lady's 3 children had been sharing DD's biscuits since we got in Spots aren't going to show up overnight and turns out these children meet up all the time. I don't mind DD getting 'the pox' at some point but she's been ill since January which is why her sleeping's all off...I'm going to really struggle if she comes down with it now Argh!! Not impressed.

Welcome back starshaker, at triplets...what a job!!

I'm looking for a lightweight cotton-ish cardi for the spring/summer but can't find one. Any suggestions? (don't want to pay the earth for one either)

Chulita · 14/04/2010 12:51

pample I got the glider nursing chair from mothercare and it's quite comfy. I didn't get it til DD had stopped bfing though cos I couldn't justify the expense I'll have it for this one though. I have an Ikea chair in DD's room at the mo but it's not much good as a snuggly chair, everytime we get up to put her in bed she wakes up cos it's such an effort!

at your soft skin vix, mine is dry and itchy, yeuch!

I bought a fantastic cardi from george. Was only £6 i just got it a few sizes bigger than i need. I also bought trousers for £3 vests for £3 and none of it is maternity. It does however feel so much comfier than all the maternity clothes i have bought so im gonna stick with george stuff. Cant find it online but ive been in 3 asdas and they all have them. Nice choice of colours aswell

Thanks for sharing Vix - it was really brave of you.

My maternity cover job was advertised on the intranet today! 10.5 more weeks at work... it'll go fast. When is everyone finishing work?I'm finishing at 36 weeks, taking 3 weeks holiday and 1 of mat leave before my due date. Some people have warned me that's too long and I'll be bored silly, but I had lots of holiday to use and hopefully the weather will be nice. I'm so achy every evening after a day at my desk that I'm sure I'll be more than ready to finish then.
