DesperateHousewife21 · 24/04/2010 20:56

I agree with putting July back in the title. Maybe something to do with summer and how we can no longer see our feet lol.

kk lol yeah I have the powder stuff at home too, I have banana milkshake about 4 or 5 times a week in the evening its really refreshing and of course milk is good for you

I think I may have to visit the dentist soon one of my back teeth has a filling from years ago and think its wearing away and is becoming sensitive to things, I hate the dentist but thinking I will make use of it while I get it for free.

memphis83 · 24/04/2010 21:11

dh costume really is bad but i needed the boob support and it only cost a tenner in sale at mothercare! i got the p&b magazine i really like that mag, im going to a wedding when im 38 weeks and i think ive decided on the dress in the blooming marvalous booklet that came with it, the one on the cover what do you think of it??
becky that is a bargain the nappies rrp at about 15 each!! now i dont know if i should wait til the one in birmingham b4 i buy them! i wonder if you would still get the boots freebies if your already joined the club? i finally got my tesco coupons today so i will collect the freebies tommorrow!

we ordered a new carpet for living room toady it gets fitted wednesday im so pleased i hate the one thats down its a cheap one landlord put down, pale cream not ideal with a black dog and a baby on the way, the one were getting is stain resistant and bleachable, not that i would ever put bleach on it! sales gut didnt believe our room is 5 meters by 5 so he came round to measure up after he closed he clearly thought i was a pregnant woman gone mad!!

Spirael · 24/04/2010 21:58

Hi all! Been busy all week with decorating of the nursery so not been checking in or posting much, sorry! Nearly there though with the decorating, which is good. Another day or two and the room should be pretty much completed - hooray!

Got a few minutes before bed, so I figured I'd quickly post up my lame attempts at new topic titles...

July 2010: Did we miss our blooming? Not long to go; due dates are looming.

July 2010: Still getting bigger, gone are the days when we had a figure.

July 2010: The final countdown; remember to smile and try not to frown.

July 2010: World Cup Mums sighted with footballs up their jumpers.

Not great, but in my defense it is getting quite late and I'm shattered.

Back at work next week, so I expect I'll be reading and posting a bit more!

Jojobil · 24/04/2010 22:30

July 2010: Still getting bigger, gone are the days when we had a figure. I like this one Spirael

Thank you everyone - you made me feel better

x

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/04/2010 09:57

Yeah def think we should have that one, well done spirael

memphis that dress is really nice! I thought that when I saw it, would look lovely for a wedding try not to outshine the bride lol.

I think DP and I are going to have a lazy day today, hes been off work since Wed and hes back 2mo so apart from maybe going to see his dad I dont think we'll be doing alot!

What is everyone else upto today?

stac14 · 25/04/2010 10:23

Morning all, thats it settled then? I better make it up today we are fast approaching the end of this thread.

I'm hoping to go to the baby show today, dying to see it because of becky saying how good it is. Hows everyone today? I had a horrid dream, woke up heart pounding but im ok just starving lol x

OP posts:
Jojobil · 25/04/2010 10:35

I am having very vivid dreams too. Some are very stressful. But tonight it was a nice one It made me wake DH up ;) Might as well take advantage of the fact that I was up for it and did not feel like someone hit me with a bat...

He took DD to the swimming pool and after yesterdays argument helped with everything. So I am in a good mood! How is everyone?

kapars · 25/04/2010 11:50

Yes I like that title too Spirael
Had a lovely day yesterday in the sunshine in Hyde Park - a picnic with friends, then popped into Mothercare, M&S, Mamas and Papas!.
MLIC Thanks yes I was size 10 before so I have gone with your recommendation and got a cheap nightie and pajames size 14 and 16. I also have a size 18 for pre-birth so should be ok.
jojo memphis When my dh popped home Friday night I got him to move the cot in its box upstairs but that is as far as we got!
No time for arguments. Trying to not get fed up being on my own at home.
Wish we had antenatal swimming classes near me but there's nothing like that, although I do have my antenatal yoga which I love.

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/04/2010 12:35

kapars Im past fed up being on my own at home, I think its half the reason for getting so down its just soooo boring and its been the same since Jan

Still on a brighter note im 28 weeks today, cant believe how the time is flying!

Im about to fly a little plane on DP's pc game LOL! If you cant beat 'em, join 'em!

kapars · 25/04/2010 14:23

Yes it is rubbish! especially when this is the time we are supposed to be made a massive fuss of but difficult when noone here to fuss over me!

totally agree with you ladies about being home alone, I am bored out of my skull. I have shopped for Scotland, surfed the net for hours, read as many baby mags as I can get my hands on (which is crap as they are monthly) done loads of housework and cooked. Really need to find something to do for the next 11 weeks. Think swimming may be it, defo going to get back to walking (which is hard with my pelvis). Oh well ladies we will just have to keep each other company xx

Jojobil · 25/04/2010 15:57

You guys need a toddler or young kid to keep you occupied ;) I am on a schedule plus live in nappy valley so can not complain of lack of things to do. Although with my first pregnancy the area was not very pregnant/kid friendly and I did feel lonely so can sympathise with you.

memphis83 · 25/04/2010 16:49

kapers i know the feeling about being on my own, ive just seen one of dh's friends from work and he said that their boss said its only fair that he isnt away next week with the situation at home, they must have heard about my moods!!!

midwife said last week she thought baby would engage b4 my next app in 3 weeks, was walking around the shops this morning and have been have a very dull ache very low down and some painful twinges in belly, anyone who has already had a baby b4 know if this could be him dropping down??? to make pain worse we visited a relative at hospital and dh forgot his bearings and went under barrier it crashed on top of our truck i about jumped through roof the shock made pain sear through my belly!! but on a good note the top i was looking at in pumkin patch went down in sale so for same price i got the top and a skirt for me, and LO a t-shirt and socks!!

memphis83 · 25/04/2010 17:40

oh and dh thanks for opiniion on that dress i will order it this week, my dh said he will buy it for me as i have been so down about my appearance! i dont know about outshining the bride but by then i will probably be so big if i stood on front of her i would hide her on the pics!!

Jojobil · 25/04/2010 17:46

Hi Memphis when you say very low down do you mean your crotch area? If yes it's just chemicals/hormones and soften ligaments and the only thing that would help is a belt and taking it easy... Anything else a physio can help you with!

memphis83 · 25/04/2010 17:52

hi jojo no its right between my legs, and my pubic bone normally kills after being on my feet all day but not done a great deal today but it is killing me, having to sit on my recliner as its a bit too much pressure,(sorry if thats tmi but not sure how else to describe it!)

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/04/2010 17:53

Hi all, just got back from DP's dad+partner's house, we sat in their back garden (a luxury for me I dont have a back garden only a communal one which I feel a bit funny about sitting in ) in the lovely sunshine all afternoon it felt so nice!

Trying to force myself off the sofa right now to make dinner but I could quite happily just fall asleep...

Jojobil · 25/04/2010 17:56

"SPD - SYMPTOMS

Pain and tenderness in the area of the symphysis pubis joint can often be accompanied by pain in the hips, lower abdomen and groin. Sometimes the pain can also manifest itself in the inner thighs and in one or both buttocks. Walking and other activities exacerbate the pain. Standing on one leg can be virtually impossible, so activities that rely on this to some degree will increase the pain. Climbing stairs, getting dressed and getting in and out of cars or the bath all involve the use of one leg at a time. Women can also experience pain while trying to move in bed, lifting things, sitting down and getting up. They may also have pain if they try to spread their legs past a certain point. Sometimes there can be a clicking during hip movement felt or even heard. A tendency to shuffle along or waddle may develop as women try to distribute their weight evenly."

Unfortunately it's def SPD... More info her www.baby-pregnancy-ultrasound-3d-4d.co.uk/Pregnancy-SPD.htm

memphis83 · 25/04/2010 18:03

thanks jojo looks like i will be ringing my physio for a follow up tomorrow, feels totally diferent to b4, i suppose he is getting heavier now, although i know he will engage soon i dont want him there yet everyone says how much more uncomfortable it is!!!
