Hi Guys,
Glad Mondays over, i hate Mondays.
I also live miles away from family and due to my job havent really been able to make that many friends from work so no support really only what I hope to find at any groups i choose to go to. A bit scary really. Id love to meet my mom for lunch and stuff but she is 3 hours away so it really would have to be a good lunch!!
Im the same as you spiders I have chosen a girls name but also struggling with a boys name, and we do think its a boy!! My DH likes Edgar! I really really dont, cant work out if he is saying it to do my head in or wether he actually likes it. I still like Evan dispite my moms reaction. But i dont think its 'the one'
DH I have brought a few things from peacocks, its ok for basics. Also.....U'll probably all laugh at this, but i brought some BIG knickers from matalan in a size larger than i need and, maaaaaaaaaaannnnn, they are so comfortable, but i can barely look at myself in them!
Glad someone said about when the third trimester starts coz i wasnt sure at all, it would make sense for it to be wk 24 wouldnt it????

spider yeah ive never been blessed in that dept so I guess its an upside! The friend who I was with today is rather buxom and she act envies me for having a smaller chest, saying she wished she could just wear small non-underwired bras so its not all bad!

stac yeah I know what you mean, thats what I said to DP, when I was act throwing up at least it was giving me a rest from feeling sick whereas on Fri all day it was just constant nausea

Its going to be sunny and really warm here 2mo so will be going out for a nice walk along the beach

Morning all!

I'm glad to see I wasn't alone at being a bit over the 3rd Trimester title. I'm not quite 22 weeks here, I was only celebrating reaching the half-way mark the other week! 3rd Tri still feels quite far away for me, I don't think I reach it until the end of April.

Only thing I can suggest for emotional stability stac is to try and get more sleep. (Easier said than done, sometimes...) I've mostly been ok, but I almost dissolved yesterday at my poor DH because the door for one of our kitchen cupboards wasn't hanging straight and no matter how much I prodded it with a screwdriver it wouldn't be resolved.

I had slept awfully the previous night however and realised after my threatened breakdown and snapping at my beloved DH (who was patiently and lovingly trying to make me my dinner ) that I was really, really tired and that probably wasn't helping at all. I feel much better today, after sleeping relatively well.

I'm counting down the time left at work too, Curly. However I still have 13 weeks to go... Fortunately, one of those weeks is holiday and four of them are short weeks due to Holiday/Easter/Bank Holiday. So really it's more like 11 weeks, if you look at it from a certain point of view.

Only five weeks time until DH, some friends and I are getting the nursery sorted! I'm really excited about that week, I think everything will seem really real once there's a proper room all sorted for the LO. My pram and cot will be delivered then too, more shiny toys for me to play with!!

I'll have to resist the urge to swaddle my smallest kitty and bundle her up in the pram, just to try it out...

Morning - sun is still shining and I'm seeing it from the sofa instead of the bed! Still deaf but working that in my favour selective hearing isn't just for men!!

SATC I have been sooooo much more emotional with this pregnancy than my previous one, anything sets me off , I'm hoping you have an understanding supportive partner who doesn't take things to heart. Mine is thankfully, if he wasn't i'm sure I'd be doing this on my own!!

I know we have touched on this before and icandy peach has been recommended as a double pushcahir, does anyoine have any experience of the icandy Pear - I've been offered one with a carrycort, raincovers etc for £350? not sure if that is reasonable or not - any ideas.

Have a good Tuesday.

Morning all, sun is shining here too! Im going for a walk later with my friend then having lunch in town. Just spent the last 45 mins cleaning, hoovering etc and even opened a window! I really feel like spring is here, although I know it wont last as its supposed to rain later this week.

stac Im being emotional too, I had a go at DP last night for not buying any food at the weekend cos he went on his own due to me being ill, even though I wrote the shopping list! Im going shopping again today to get some proper food.

stac14 · 16/03/2010 15:47

Don't worry stac I am going a little bonkers too I'm not the jealous type at all, but had a jealous fit and was sobbing because my husband befriended a girl - work contact on facebook. He is a friendly person and I trust him completely. But lost it yesterday! I was like "I'm fat and she is pretty" etc... Nonsense.
Those hormones are very dangerous!

spidershavearrived that sounds like a good deal on pushchair they normally cost about that without the carrycot, that is normally about 130 extra, both come with raincovers but if you need to replace them they are about 30 each hope this helps! stac im totally hormonal today 2 woman who works for us said something about my nan (who we help with as she has dementia) i ended up having to walk out of work then ended up in the queue in the bank crying! then as my lovely dog has been ill she said well that breed only live til 10 so he wont live much longer and that set me off even though i know its bull! felt so down i ate 4 packs of crisps!!
got results for heart scan tomorrow then im going to lunch and shopping with my equally hormonal pregnant friend after

MissWooWoo Im so sorry, not sure what to say. Hope ur ok. X

spiders That sounds like a good deal to me too, but i do think you need to make sure its the one you want, like, are comfortable with etc.

I have this giant pain in my back at the top of my ribs, its horrible. Cant think its anything to do with LO.
Has anyone got any experience with a tens machine? I have heard they are very good for all sorts of pain but especially labour. Just watching OBEM its quite a calm one this time....although its only half way through!

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening

spireal doing up the nursery sounds fab. We're hoping for a move

spider some of the ladies on here are going for the icandy, why don't you pop into a shop try before you buy, but the price seems reasonable

Thanks jojo and memphis i have been scatty over tiny things just wish people would remember hormones make you react a lot worse than you would normally

viksam the pain could be baby related as everything has moved upwards or maybe muscle pain, do you do a lot of lifting?

misswoowoo sorry for your loss, glad your feeling better. X

stac yeah my bug has finally shifted, it was yesterday that I really felt 100% though so it took a good 4 and half days to go completely.

Its not quite as sunny and warm today so I think Ill have a sofa + tv day! Currently watching last nights Jo Frost, also got eastenders and the last episode of sex and the city on the dvd. (Im working my through all the series using LoveFilm, its taking a while!)

What is everyone else up to today?

Report
Chulita · 17/03/2010 11:53

I just had a cheese & tomato toastie, I'm snuggled up on the futon under a quilt wishing our new sofa was here and hoping that DD is actually going to sleep instead of chatter in bed - I can't take a whole day without her having a nap, she's too full on!
Off to watch OBEM I think!

Hi ladies, just caught up with one born every min on catch up - gets me every time!! I love it love it...

Had a day off work again today with silly stupid ear - how long do ear infections take to clear? The pain seems to be hanging on in there.

Thanks for advice re icandy, going to shop when feel a lil better to have a look, after reading a couple of reviews it seems there is not much room for the toddler which is a worry - he has to be comfortable - guess we won't know till we try.

Memphis hope the scan results were as expected.

Jojo I've just had 3 days in bed and still feel like I could sleep for another 3! No such look with my gorg DS who is waking at 6am at the mo - thank goodness his dad is on the ball at that time!

I'm going to take some pain killers, try and ignore the ringing in my ear and find a book to read before falling into a gentle slumber - and that ladies will be my afternoon......
