dh i asked my mum the other day if my bump was like DL's and she laughed and said mine was much bigger! im mortified!
ive had no jealousy with my dh but ive become a clingy emotional wreck with everyone!
on OBEM last night the trucker woman gave her fella a real death stare when he took a pic of the baby and said you son not our son! the other couple annoyed me when he kept saying oh baby to her!!!
stac test results all came back ok, my heart rate is very high but regular so they are going to just keep an eye on it then went shopping everywhere to find some nice maternity outfits didnt get anything, everything is online but my boobs have grown so much i dont want to risk buying online!

Gosh this thread moves fast.
memphis I had second session with chiropractor - had lots of pain between first and second session but today no pain at all and improved mobility. will let you know if i'm still impressed after third session!

chulita i am addicted to cheese and tomato toasties

I have a cold and almost fell asleep on the train home today but am very proud of myself as I have started asking for a seat as soon as I get on the tube now and people jump up for me. Nobody offers first mind, but they do give seats when asked.

hi everyone, just marking my place and adding my surprise to the list!
hope all well. am having problems sleeping - lying on one side for more than 2 hours makes the bottom leg ache so much. have tried the pillow between legs thing, which helps a bit. lower back hurts too, but i overdid it a bit in the garden the other day!

Morning! KK wow what a great friend! enjoy every second of it

kapars glas to hear you have some pain relief eventually. Long may it last!

berberis i have had some really bad night sleeps due to not getting comfy but this last week (touch wood) has been quite good- just 2 toilet breaks which seems to get legs moving and blood pumping again! It is so frustrating when you feel so tired

The kitchen is not quite finished but looking great anyway They worked so hard yesterday but had to leave just after 10pm coming back again this evening to finish tiles and some odd jobs- otherwise its all done so DH is at home today to clean and fill cupboards- we'll see how much he actually does! will it be the way i want it?

Off to work now- hope everyone has a good day

Morning all!

Well, I have the mattress for the cot, but no cot. They carded me yesterday while I was at work, so I called them to check I could collect from the depot that evening (about 10 miles away) and they confirmed that'd be ok.

Headed over to the depot after dinner only to discover they'd managed to keep one of the two parts of the consignment (which'd be the mattress) and sent the other (the actual cot) all the way to Huddersfield.

They offered to deliver it again to my house today...not helpful when both DH and I work full time. Persuaded them to do a Sat delivery instead, however apparently they need to check it with the original supplier first, for some reason. I hope they're not planning on charging them, or trying to!

I'm kinda glad I'm getting all this stuff sorted out relatively early. I can imagine I'd have been even less impressed at driving out and standing around for half an hour when I'm nearly full term! I'm not doing too badly at the moment.

In better news, my accountant (i.e. DH ) has approved me going to H&M at lunchtime today to get myself a few more maternity clothes. I'm currently cycling between three pairs of trousers and five t-shirts, which is becoming a bit of a struggle to make sure I always have something clean to wear when I accidentally throw something over myself or get 'got' by kitties with muddy paws.

I noticed yesterday that H&M have finally started getting in some summery clothes, so I figured I'd pick up a couple of pairs of cropped trousers now that it seems to be getting warmer and a few more t-shirts. Maybe some nursing tops too... Are they worth having, for a newbie to BF who is rather shy about exposing herself in public?

I might also be forced to pop over to Accessorise/Monsoon Kids too... They've got a 50% sale on at the moment and some really cute little baby clothes...

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok today. Hope the ear infection starts to clear, Spiders!

spirael, I was always shy about bfing DD and I used to hide under jackets etc (winter baby) but I'd sweat to death. This time I'm going to invest some of the pregnancy grant in a few nursing tops just to make things a bit easier for myself. DD was a popper-offer so a sudden noise and she'd have a look exposing me for all to see!
dh, he'll probably be bored stiff! DH always comes home after days like that moaning about how they never shut up...which is odd because I don't either but apparently he likes my wittering, just not anyone else's
My parents are coming today, yay!

And, anyone know a good place to buy a Rose brooch for an 80th birthday pressie? My grandad asked and he needs it for Saturday

OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH im gutted i just wrote a massive post and accidentaly deleted it Rahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Well it was probably boring anyhow.

I was waffeling on about booking the carpet for the babies room and how excited i am to start doing stuff in there, also how much i miss my friends and family not being around to share stuff with.

I found a cot/bed that i think is good value with a changing tray and a draw on wheels underneath for £250, does that sound good value? Mom and Dad said they would like to buy the cot so dont want to spend much more than that.

chulita a rose brooch, Hmmmmmm thats a tricky one, cant think really only the normal places samuels etc.

viksam that cot sounds like a good deal my mum is taking me to a big shop in grantham on monday to look at cots im excited to start the baby room at the weekend the room is huge and my dh is worried baby will be lost in it he didnt complain when we moved here when he had a big room for his playstation and darts etc
stac enjoy your day, its the awards tomorrow that im going to still no outfit i ordered 3 things online and they were all out of stock so its my last chance today to find something, everything seems floral, and my annoying dh says well deal with it thats all there is so your going to have to wear flowers! i dont want to dress like dot cotton!!!
has anyone ever been to center parks? im planning on booking a trip there for after baby is born!

Report
viksam · 18/03/2010 12:46

memphis I hope u buy something you like today, im sure u wont loo like Dot cotton!! LOL at the thought though. I have never been to center parks but have heard good things about it though, a trip with baby would be nice as long as they dont all bugger off to do activities, who would you go with?
Im sat on the sofa.......still!! Really need to do some stuff, slowly sinking into depression and starvation!! must be tired if i cant be bothered to make food for myself, thats bad!
Is anyone else suffering from tiredness at the moment?

Afternoon everyone.

We have all had bad colds this week. First DS, then DD, and now they have given it to me! Anyway I have took my first sick days from work in over 2 years. Kids are at my mums (as she usually looks after them when I'm working anyway), and I am having 2 days of rest to get over it! Didn't realise how much I missed not being able to have lem-sips though to keep me going.

Viksam I am exhausted at the moment, but probably due to the cold more than anything else. Oh and the fact that DD keeps waking me up at night! Guess the tiredness will only get worse from here in

Hi all, Ive got my first Boots parenting club magazine through today. Also got some sort of parcel but I was out so Ive got to go to the sorting office 2mo to find out what it is. Its def something preg related so v excited to find out what it is!

Also re car seats I really do like the maxi cosi ones, any thoughts/experiences with them?

Report
Jojobil · 18/03/2010 17:17

Maxi cosi is very straight forward DH! It is perfect for a newborn and infant obviously, attached easily and connects to lots of prams too. So a definite winner for me! I had it with my DD, then passed it on to my niece and now am getting one after my friends!

Ooooh thanks jojo! think I may show it to DP and then buy it anyway! They do look really sweet little car seats and I like that you can buy a base and use that for when you have to get a bigger seat and they fit on prams etc.
