is it too early/late to say i've just had an epiphany and just GOT the thread title?!!! When I was congratulating rkd earlier about it i just thought it was funny/realistic. oh, and before i retire to bed pixie have you seen me drunk perchance?!! creme egg mummies is EXACTLY the sort of piffle i spout!! i think it's why DH puts up with me being pg and moany, it's utter bliss in comparison to DrunkenElk....

marking place no nothing happening other than can't sleep and decided that I dont like new haircut, and dont really know what to do about it as ive had a lot cut off, so I can see to change nappies when baby finally arrives, still havin BHs about every 10 mins in day, getting fed up of them but sa MW today said top of baby's head started to engage, which doesnt really mean anything but a good sign. so off now to try to get to sleep...

Hi all, quick update from me. Been up since 4 having contractions and bad back pain. Not really regular, anywhere between 10 and 20 mins but hopefully it is the start of something.

ilgb sending labour vibes your way. looks like you will be next.

LouBudd too! OooOOOOoooooh - fears that her children may not get the attention they need today as she'll be spending the whole day clicking refresh!

Still no movement here but I'm almost hoping I don't go before tomorrow - I've lined up my massage expert friend to give me a nice massage. She claims she's helped other ladies go into labour when they're overdue so I'm hoping her magic fingers do the trick!And even if it doesn't work, at least I'll have had a nice relaxing pampering session on mothers day.

I've decided I've still got quite a healthy '42 weeks is completely normal' attitude (most of the time) - it's just everybody else's expectations that I should have HAD the baby by now that's starting to p*ss me off!! Every time I speak to my Mum or MIL we have to get the whole 'still no twinges, nope, no sign yet - perhaps tomorrow' thing out of the way before we can talk about anything else. It's getting boring

Right, it's a lovely day here, nice and sunny so I'm going to try and have a wee walk to the corner shop for a paper. Have a great Saturday everyone!
