Hello ladies!

Would like to tentatively join this thread. I got a bfp this morning but had a mc at 9wks last October. Hopefully this one will be a sticky bean. The sore boobs and nausea have already kicked in. I have one very busy 21mth old Ds.

energumene was yours a valentines day conception too or is that tmi?!

hmmSleep · 28/02/2010 16:10

Ebb Welcome and congrats.

My mmc was at 9wks last October too, so know how you feel, the sore boobs and nausea are a good sign! (At least that's what I'm telling myself to make it feel better)

Energumene · 28/02/2010 16:40

lol Ebb! I'm not shy

But I honestly couldn't tell you because we were away on holiday and weren't really counting, iyswim! Which possibly is TMI...

My body took this all as a positive sign to jump the gun and ov waaaaaay earlier than usual and here I am, up the duff. Whereas I could have told you for each of the 6 previous pregnancies exactly which day I conceived.

Ladies who are pg after mc - I'm proof that even after 5 mcs you can have that much wanted take-home baby, so I wish you all the luck I had when I conceived ds.

rollerbaby · 28/02/2010 17:05

Hello zenthinking,LibrasBiscuitsof,Vodkagirl, crumpetsolo, energumene, addictedtomn!

This is getting to be a proper November bus now!

I've been down in the west country this weekend, with husband and dog which has been great and just what I needed to take my mind off stuff. Except it didn't really as I started to get funny poky feelings (not pain or cramp) right behind my hip bone. Since it hasn't got worse or painful and I know I had implantation cramps in the right place, it can't bad I hope. After much googling I'm hoping it's ligament twinges. Did any of you second time mums get these early on?

Boobs are still ouch, but no MS thank god. Still, it will only be 5 weeks tomorrow, so there's time...

Client dinner tomorrow night (have managed to get out of the other one) so I have a very tiring and boring night watching everyone else get twatted.

Hello! One more to join this thread. Just got my positive test on Saturday... due date should be 3 November if the online calculators are right! This is no 2, already have a DS who is about to turn two.

Symptoms: feel like my boobs are about to explode but otherwise fine - so far so good!

hmmSleep · 01/03/2010 07:57

hows everyone doing today? feeling very queasy myself, like i want to be sick but just cant!

hmmSleep · 01/03/2010 10:01

Morning addictedtomn, I'm off to toddler group now but thought I'd check in, I was soooo queasy yesterday, all I could eat was cornflakes, dry bread and a banana, then went to bed at 8.30! Feeling a bit better today so am stuffing down the food whilst I can. I lost half a stone in the first trimester when pregnant with dd and ds due to morning sickness, so unfortunately no tips!

eejaykay · 01/03/2010 10:05

Hiya, can I join in too? Very early days for me too, but the pregnancy calculator tells me a due date of 1 November. It will be Number 2 for me - I have a DS who's just turned 1 (so it would be 21 months between babies, that's probably dealable with. Eek) No pregnancy signs yet except I do feel bloomin' cold, especially in the evenings. And was super grumpy this weekend but that isn't necessarily related to being up the duff!
So hello honeymoo, hmmmSleep and kawaiiko, hope you're all feeling well today.

rollerbaby · 01/03/2010 10:11

Morning all. Have called in sick today as was dreading tonight so much. I know that's bad but I don't feel that guilty!!! Enjoying a lazy day instead and a bit of Reading in bed! Won't be doing much of that before long.

eejaykay · 01/03/2010 10:16

Er - sorry, for some reason I only thought there were about 5 messages on this thread before I posted. Need to brush up my MN skills! Hello everyone!!

Energumene · 01/03/2010 11:08

Morning all! Been feeling really sick since yesterday, so looks like I'm in for the same as last time. Boobs also sore and still have the periodless period pains, like I did before.

SIL is over for the day tomorrow and I haven't the faintest how I am going to manage to hide the pg from her if I'm feeling this rough. I may have to find a way of being out for most of the day, or I'll have to get dh to tell her I ate some dodgy take-out over the weekend or something, preferably today so it won't look too suss tomorrow. Argh.

It's all finally sinking in and I'm absolutely terrified.

rollerbaby · 01/03/2010 11:20

Poor you... At least you know what is ahead, I feel like I'm stepping off into the abyss!!! Have finished mumsnet guide to preggy. Was crying with laughter at the dads bit toward the end. Have decided I'd like waterbirth, gas, epidural and pethidine. So basically all intervention known to mankind. Ha ha. In an ideal world all together please.

Still no MS... Which is worrying me now.

OP posts:
fifisboys · 01/03/2010 13:19

Can i join in???

I'm due baby #3 on 01/11/10...

I have ds1 who is almost 4 and ds2 who has just turned 2...i am feeling very scared though as i had a mc at eng aug and another mid nov last year so i am being reffered for early scan hopefully in around 10 days time.

Energumene · 01/03/2010 14:16

honeymoo please don't worry you've not got ms. Not everyone does get it, and believe me you're better off without it. Granted, it can be reassuring to have a very clear symptom like ms, but not having it doesn't mean there's a problem.

As for knowing what's ahead... no two pregnancies are alike, so I'm looking forward to the adventure ahead

And hello to fifisboys and congrats. Understand the nervousness after the mcs, but fingers crossed you've got a sticky one there this time.

addictedtomn · 01/03/2010 15:07

hi every one i've just made an appointment with the doc for this evening to get an open referal to the epu and hopefully get an 8/9 week scan

Honeymoo ms isnt that great, dont go wishing for it to turn up. Enjoy life without it!

Hi fifisboys

VodkaGirl77 · 01/03/2010 16:42

Hi to everyone and especially to everyone who's joined since I last posted.

Have had a day off work today, so been up and down to nursery and school on school runs, done lots of washing and have now got banana cake in the oven, so having a well deserved rest now!

Honeymoo - don't worry about not getting morning sickness - lots of people don't. To be honest I've never been sick with my pregnancies and so far this seems to be the same. Have been feeling terribly nauseous on an afternoon though.

Can't believe how tired I am already - could do with an afternoon nap! Think this is finally sinking in for dp as well - he thinks he's really clever as we hadn't been trying for very long at all!

hmmSleep · 01/03/2010 20:06

Honeymoo, I know loads of people who didn't get even the slightest ms and went on to have healthy happy babies, it actually made me feel a little pathetic for coping so badly with pregnancy in general .

kawaiiko · 01/03/2010 20:10

Hi eejaykay, hi fifisboys, welcome!

I've definitely started feeling a bit green around the gills today. Not a problem when I'm at my desk but had to introduce a guest speaker this morning and as I stood up there was a lurch-y moment!

For all those who've told your mums (and I think this might be esp. true for first timers) - is anyone else's mum super super keen? Mine is really in her element. She used to be a midwife so she is already talking birth stories, and wondering whether she needs to start coming over once a month (we live a couple of hours away) to help clean and "practice"!

rollerbaby · 01/03/2010 20:10

Jolly good. Thanks for the reassurance, definitely hoping I am one of the lucky ones but prob won't be knowing my luck. Just ate yummy curry, and now feel as fat as a horse. Yum. You are allowed curry right?

manchestermummy · 01/03/2010 20:30

Hello!

Can I join please? Not my first pg (2nd) but according to my calculations I'm due early Nov, which makes me about 4 weeks. Have done about 8 tests, all BFP, but GP wants me to provide a sample to confirm the pregnancy. Is this usual? I didn't have to last time! I have a DD who is 2.4.

Might be all in my mind but I do feel a bit "off" - it all started at around 5 weeks last time.

Not told anyone yet, but my friend guessed over the weekend when I refused a cocktail!

Congrats to all the BFPs!

addictedtomn · 01/03/2010 21:07

kawaiiko, my mum is 28 weeks pregnant herself!! and shes verry excited my db (2yo) my dsis (still in belly) my dniece (11mo) and now my baby are all going to be so close in age!

hi muminmanchester

Booboobedoo · 01/03/2010 21:22

Hi everyone,

I'm adding myself to the list.

My EDD is 1/11/10, and I've already told everyone, including strangers in the park.

My DS is three this month, and I was so ill last time I didn't get to have a lovely Coming Out, so I've thrown caution to the wind.

It feels good.

Five weeks today and fine so far...
