First baby due November 2010...am I the only one?

Anyone, anyone? It's early days I know...

I've brought forward my scan from Monday to tomorrow as I really can't go through the weekend, the only issue being that I will be a bit ahead of the 6 week mark at 5.5. Apparently internal scans are better earlier so I will ask for one of those. Everyone seems to say it's common and as I havent had any more fingers crossed. I've got a night out tomorrow with girlfriends planned who I was planning on telling but now we will see!

honeymoo, if you've only spotted once and there has been nothing since, take comfort in that. they may tell you to come back in a few days time if they cant find heartbeat today, but as your only 5+5 not finding anything can be normal, as heartbeat isnt fully formed at teh moment. please dont panic (i know thats hard) i really hope it all goes well for you today. good luck

They tell you all about your foetal development every week, then once you've given birth you get them weekly for the first year, then monthly until they're three.

I got my BFP two days ago (the day of my expected period)with my first child, so i'm just over a month pregnant. I'm sooo overwhelmed!!! According to due date calculators, i'm due on 10th November 2010. Booked my first appointement for Tuesday so fingers crossed this is just the beginning of something special

I've had my first glimpse of symptoms today. Felt too sick to eat at breakfast time and the by the time I had done the school run, pre-school run, banking and the full week's shopping I just wanted to curl up and go to sleep...

..no chance of that though - new sofa is being delivered on Monday so I've got some serious sorting out to do!

Hi I'm Lucy. I got my BFP this morning but as it was not that strong a line I will be taking a Clear Blue (the one with the weeks indicator) in the morning, just to be certain.

DS is now 20 months. I had a fairly easy pg with him for the first 33 weeks, then went into early labour. This was halted and he eventually arrived at 40+6 following a three-day labour and induced forceps delivery.

Last year I had an ovarian cancer scare and had the majority of my left ovary removed with the big tumour that had killed it. As a result there was a chance I would be infertile (albeit not a large chance) and I will be requesting additional ovarian scans to monitor for unusual growths/cysts. There is a chance the tumour was missed at my 20w scan (small growth at 12w scan not followed up).

Anyone else started with morning sickness yet? I feel rotten this morning - not been sick yet but feel yuck. Never started with it this early before...

Morning girls... so an update from yesterday. Sorry for not posting sooner but I didn't get home until v late last night and just about fell into bed.

Had such a nightmare work day yesterday, but good in a way because I couldn't obsess too much. Anyway the scan in the evening was brilliant and reassuring. We saw the sack, the yolk and 3 little layers and a forming heart which was pulsing very feintly!!! Luckily thanks to CBFM the dating was spot on (whereas if we'd only known the LMP she would have been worried too small) and the sack was perfectly attached with no sign of bleeding. Apparently this was something to do with the small growing capillaries sometimes breaking off at this point which is obviously normal. We even saw that the egg had come from the left hand ovary! It was so fantastic and I was being a complete sap crying with happiness and relief!

Have decided to have one more before the 12 weeks (yes am scan junkie) so we can see him/her again!

Off to buy a new bed today. A very BIG one!

Very smiley and happy - even the onset of MS couldn't upset me today.

I was up all last night with a D&V bug. I have no idea where I got it from but I've had no sleep, no food and I'm feeling very sorry for myself! Luckily Dp is a fab, hands on Dad so I've been curled up on the sofa resting. I know D&V won't affect the baby but I can't help worrying a bit.

Oh poor you Ebb, make sure you have lots of rehydration stuff - really does make you feel instantly better. Cuddle up and watch telly and you will feel better soon. Feeling really icky today, feel like yakking myself.

Still no nausea here, but I'm just exhausted. The way I remember it from last time, it was like a dreadful hangover without getting to be drunk first.

Booked myself in with the GP yesterday. She was gratifyingly excited for me, and even more excited that she could use her EDD App on her iPhone for the first time.

Great news honeymoo I had bleeding in all my pregnancies, thankfully everything was ok, gingertoo I am feeling a bit overwhelmed that I have done this again, my youngest is five and I thought I was past it but hey one more time.

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining! Got BFP on Wednesday and after lots of probs and trying for 18 months I still can't quite believe it! Keep 'checking' to make sure period hasn't arrived and even did another test yest to double check! Very strong line so was pleased! Didn't think it would ever happen!
I'm soooo excited, but still trying to be cautious just incase!

Have really achy boobs, and have had some cramping which scared me quite a bit at first, but after lots o googling, found this to be norm as uterus is expanding apparently!! Phew! No MS yet but have felt sicky so hoping that's a good enough sign :-)

hmmsleep and romilly mine kept changing too so i have a range of dates! looking forward to getting a dating scan done.

i'm getting excited now, ms is getting stronger, my tummy is growing a...shape. i'm not going to call it a bumpo because its hardly there! but its there enough for my clothes to start feeling tight and some of my jeans not to do up properly. i am starting to think that i really could have this baby.

i'm rubbish with all the pregnancy rules, and i really should be the most vigilant! i'm just forgetting everything. washing fruit, taking folic acid, not eating mayo or cake batter or royal icing (i'm a cake decorator)

and AND its taken me 5 attempts to remember how to spell the word JUST!

cluelessnchaos Feeling exactly the same here! Mine are 11, 9 and 2.5 (all boys)
We started ttc a year ago but nothing happened so I thought that was it, I wasn't going to be able to have anymore (I always wanted 2 big ones and 2 little ones!) but it looks like it's finally happening!

Realised this morning that by christmas I will have one dc at secondary school, one in primary school, one in preschool and a new baby - probably best not to think about it too much

I've stopped drinking alcohol, but I really must check what else I should / shouldn't be doing! They seem to change every time I'm pregnant...

This was our first month so I am a bit shocked that it happened straight away , we have dd 12 dd 9 and ds 5, just been out for dinner where everyone was guessing I was pg I had told everyone I had given up booze for lent but I am not sure I was fooling anyone
