Due October 2010 - anyone else??

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Ninthwave I too am terrified of the ear thermometer and the thing they use for looking inside your ear with. I took my dd to the doctor recently and he wanted to look in her ear, and she wouldn't let him. He said would I mind him looking in mine first so she could see there was nothing to be scared of!!

Number 2: AIBU to think Google should introduce some sort of second level "are you sure" prompt to any search relating to pregnancy? Background - I am shedding hair. A lot. According to google I am near death.

Bunder I've read the Mumsnet guide to pregnancy and it had a bit in there about hair. I did read about someone who lost their hair in pregnancy as well. Not that this helps you. But no, YANBE on that one as google can be a bit depressing.

So I told him. He's not happy. Has said I won't cope, he won't love it, we've no where to put it. I said well, I'm not going to get rid of it as I'm not in the habit of killing my children. He said it's not a child yet. Sure maybe he's got a point but it is my baby already; all the whatifs.

Had a very horrid dream last night that my ExP (DS and DD's father) was running through the town after me and the kids trying to stab them because he'd changed his mind about them and that they were better off dead than with a mother like me.

I'm sorry if all this seems insensitive to those who's beans may be in trouble, but I needed to tell someone as I can't tell anyone IRL. Terrified of going to the midwife as one of my friends works at the local unit and really don't want anyone to know yet. If I make an appointment can I inquire as to which MW it will be with?

Xavielli Good for you, sticking to your guns. As far as i'm concerned as soon as the baby looks vaugley human, it's a baby. As long as it has your love and the love of your family, it will be fine. I'm going through somehing similar with my 'DP' he keeps saying it's going to be the cause of us breaking up and yet he seems in no rush to leave...

I have to tell you all I have been in hospital all yesterday. My body is undergoing a 'threatened miscarriage' OR an ectopic pregnancy. They are taking more blood out of me to check my pregnancy hormone levels tomorrow to see which it is, could be both the first two probably maybe..... If its just the threatened thing, my cervix is still nice and tight, and there is every chance I could still carry this baby to term, but they will need to keep an eye on me.

Turns out I am not as far along as I thought... I am 4 weeks pregnant. I am pretty sure I still feel pregnant though.

So sorry to bring not good news to the thread, but please wish me luck, and if all goes well I will shower you all with mini-eggs, I promise.

QuestionAnswered- pink wee= UTI- I had that last year, sounds like you may need antibiotics, also drink warm water with kemon juice, it can really help.

I have been craving apple tango for days now, I have sent DH to pretty much every shop / supermarket nearby but no where has any in stock. xavielli don't apologise of course you can share what you are going through. I don't know if this helps but we were ttc for ages and were having fertility tests when I got pregnant, but even so I think both DH and I have had panics at times about the reality of it. So I guess just remember this is his first reaction and not necessarily how he will feel later on. But I am sure there are people who have been through similar and will be able to give you more support. and I am sure it will be fine for you to ring and ask to be told who your appointment is with, I would ring and ask if I was you and then there's one less thing to worry about hopefully.

Xav you sound like you'll be fine bringing up the child on your own... I'm sure it's better that the child will have one loving parent than 2, one of whom doesn't want to be there. Good luck and we'll all support you as much as possible.

Was a bit upset yesterday - a colleague confided in me that she helped her brother bring his girlf over from Ireland for an abortion last week. Was really hard as she doesn't know I'm pg and the woman would have been about the same number of weeks as me. I'm definitely not anti-abortion - it's a personal choice and I wouldn't judge anyone either way, but it was just hard hearing that when i'm at the same stage IYKWIM.

Was cheered by a great dream involving me doing one of those giant zip wire things and the (hot) man running it fell for me and we had lots of very hot sex. Does anyone else try and get back into the same dream the next night?

Reckon it's time to share my first wierd pg dream... I dreamt there was a water park where you sent stones down a chute to waiting crocodiles that would flick them into the air with their tails. I got into trouble cos I sent a boat down instead of stones, then suddenly found myself dancing ina ballet about feeding crocodiles. Now what does that say about me???!

PS meant to say I am on the same juice kick as many of you..can't get enough of the stuff! I seem to be thirsty all of the time.Unfortunately I am also seriously craving strong coffee, having previously been a caffeine addict!

Thanks sheildbug- yes, it was great, especially when it was highlighted in colour. I know what you mean about the thirst, having to balance it with loo visits is hard. I stopped drinking at 1900 last night as the previous night I'd got up to pee 3 times. At 2200, all I wanted was a long glass of water. Its so infuriating. I have no particular food or drink needs, I just need more than normal otherwise I feel very faint. Whoever said that you don't need any extra calories until the 3rd trimester is speaking bollocks. . I'm not eating rubbish, just need to keep topping up. Dizziness is a constant danger- had to be really careful at the gym yesterday. Coudln't be bothered today though!

Ivy I know it's hard when you hear that sort of stuff, I hope that things get better for you soon.

I've just inhaled the biggest cheese sandwich in the world, but I think thats down to the fact that I had about two bites of my breakfast before feeling too poorly to eat the rest.

Just come on here quickly to update everyone and to say hanks to everyone for their concern, it means a lot, especially as only Dh and one other person know in RL.

It is not looking good TBH, Had an internal scan and they have dated me at 4-5 weeks with only the pregnancy sac visible. My dates have me at 6 weeks and I have very regular cycle, so seems unlikely (though not impossible) I am still bleeding, not huge amounts but on and off. They said 3 possible outcomes, ectopic, miscarriage or early pregnancy

They don't know yet and I have had blood taken today and will do again on Friday to check hormone levels. However, I am not hopeful. I think deep down I knew things weren't right. Will let you all know on Friday, they said they can tell me more then.

Will stay of here til then as I don't want to make it difficult for the rest of you to chat about the usual cravings and weird dreams and all I want to do is moan!

PFJ I am so sorry you are are having such a difficult time too. it sounds like we are in a very similar position.

QuestionsAnswered - Yes! It does sound exactly what I am going through!!!!! On my scan they couldnt find anything though and it freaked me right out to see a completely empty womb. When they said I was probably only 4 weeks in that case, I was really confused because my periods had me pegged at 6 weeks as well... mad isnt it..? and there was me going to say to you... SEE I told you I'd cross my legs until after yours was born!!

Well lets hope we both come out with an earlier stage pregnancy with 'difficult' babies who end up healthy and happy.. if a bundle of trouble right from the start!!?

Had a visit to obgyn yesterday and she gave me a scan. Not dildocam (shudder) but on tum despite empty bladder. She managed to see a gestational sac measuring 5+3, which I was. Yay! Long may my wish to eat nothing but buttered toast and soft boiled eggs continue. Anyone else find orange juice tastes downright horrid right now?

Xav I spilt up from my xh when pg with dd2 and was v hard but it would have been so much worse had I stayed with him.

Dream update

I didnt get back into my dream last night so I still haven't saved Frodo. I did live out survivors and lived off buckets full of blueberries for a while though. I also had to avoid the zombies controlled by a 12 year old boy in Debenhams. I am waking up exhausted.

Ilovegregoryhouse -Although actual oranges taste ok I had a glass of orange juice a couple of weeks ago and thought it tasted horrid! All other juice is going down well though.

Just wanted to say to ThePFJ and Questions that I have my fingers crossed (& everything else crossed) for a good outcome for both of you. I've been in your position & the waiting & over-thinking is just awful. At least you both know that you can both carry a baby to term so if the worst comes to the worst it may just be very bad luck.

Also big squeezes for those going through knobhead man problems.

Oranges? Oh yeah, the Sainsburys super-sweet clementines please, mmmmmmmm.

Bought a fruit bowl full of healthy fresh fruit with some yummy clementines in, and some salad so I can make BLT's
...and yes I bought mini-eggs....
