I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

I NEED pizza.

MummyLovesSadie · 27/02/2010 16:25

I've just eaten three oranges & the bestest fairy-cake I've ever had in my entire life!

Quite fancying mushrooms & tomatoes now though.

This is like food-porn.

Ivytheterrible · 27/02/2010 16:35

I'm having serious orange cravings - eating at least 3 a day for the last week and drinking loads of juice too. Have also had a couple of strange orange-related dreams. I guess it could be worse at least it's healthy!

Meanbeansmum · 27/02/2010 16:54

Oranges!!! Loving them, and really red apples (red delicious I think lol). How can you crave eggs at a time like this, eurghhhh. LOL!

Now mini eggs, well that's chocolate so it doesn't count lol! Yum!

I'm trying to eat things that are 'good' for me but it's not easy is it!

Hermya321 · 27/02/2010 17:04

ThePFG A robot made of hay wouldn't be very practical would it.

Vikks I dream of pringles, it's not good.

I've just seen an advert for Wurthers Original Chocolates and now I want some DAMN IT!!

Do we realise that the last eighteen posts have been about food? Well nineteen if you count mine.

MummyLovesSadie · 27/02/2010 17:48

Twenty - I actually had two runny-ish poached eggs for lunch & then for some reason I started thinking what eggs actually are, started thinking about my eggs & had to throw the rest of my lunch in the bin! I think I'll be avoiding eggs until November.

pookey · 27/02/2010 17:50

with you all on oranges - flicks through pg book - good source of folic acid. The only drink that I have enjoyed today was, you guessed it, orange juice. tea bleugh, lemonade bleugh, Water bleuuuuuuuuugh. I feel rough as a bears arse and not even being sick.

Elsa123 · 27/02/2010 18:03

thank you thank you thank you all for being so supportive pleasing to know others who've actually had pregnancies go to term experienced the same thing. I will let you know how the scan went. x x xx

pookey · 27/02/2010 18:09

Meansbeansmum I am trying to be healthy its a bit of a non starter (specially with all this talk of mini eggs ) I love reading nutrition books but struggle to put it into practice. Not been healthy today but has been the roughest day for me so far. Been pondering staring a healthy eating support thread but will prob wait until 2nd trimester until then bring on the comfort food.

Mymmylovessadie eek not good chain of thought!

pookey · 27/02/2010 18:10

Was thinking of you elsa good luck on mon x

Nymphadora · 27/02/2010 18:11

Everyone else having very vivid dreams? I remember this from previous pregnancies but I woke up shattered this am after racing through a castle all night (hunted by the mad king cos I was going to marry his son and steal all of the roast lamb)

Oh and I had a HUGE BLT for lunch and felt like those snakes dislocating their jaw I was eating that fast

Did I mention I'm normally vegetarian?

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 18:16

LOL Nymphadora, my dreams are normally quite vivid, but they get even worse when I am pregnant.

Ooooooooo BLT

Good Luck Elsa. BTW if I have a girl, it was decided YEARS AGO that her name would be Elsa.

Can I just say that my man is currently acting like a giant TOOL.

Grrrrrrr to men. Grrgrrrr GRRR. Etc.

Vikks · 27/02/2010 19:24

Just got to add.....I've just eaten 2 oranges and they tasted fantastic! More please...............re. Food Porn

Elsa - Good luck.

Hermya321 · 27/02/2010 19:52

MS or all the time sickness is a pain in the backside.

All I can eat without heaving is crackers.

Norfolkbumpkin · 27/02/2010 20:00

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a good evening and are not eating everything in sight! I got my letter through from the hospital today offering me my dating scan appointment. I am gutted because it is on 6th April when I will be 12+2, and this day I also should be starting work with the new company that me and my colleagues are being transferred to. I am also due to have a nuchal scan aswell, so goodness knows when they are going to fit that in aswell. On my previous pregancy I had the dating scan at 10 weeks then the nucal scan at 12 weeks which was really good time-wise. I am gutted that I have to wait until 12 weeks, but the letter says that this is the soonest appointment that they can offer, and if I what to change it I would be offered a later date. Has put a bit of a dampener on things.........

pookey · 27/02/2010 20:04

nymphdora at roast lamb how random but def meat theme running through your post! I was having a weird dream about being on a train and family all got off but I was struggling with bags and got traped on train then couldnt find the right platform to go back (hmmm bit of escape fantasy maybe) I hardly ever dream but do when pg its really weird.

sympathy for you Hermya321

ThePFJ my dp has annoyed me today I havent done much with kids as feeling rough and he said we are such bad parents - what was stopping him taking them in the garden grrrrrrrrrr then he insisted on sausages butties for dinner complained about the smoke, said I had made too much food and wouldnt eat his broccoli ( I am still talking about OH not dc by the way!) rant rant schnufermuffer

BUnderTheBonnet · 27/02/2010 20:06

I've got the orange thing too - don't normally fancy them but I'm eating at least two a day. My mum was the same with bananas when she was pregnant with me, but I'm horribly allergic to them.

Bought maternity bras today. The first two shops I went in didn't have any in the correct size, and I cried. The ones I did manage to buy are very ugly.

pookey · 27/02/2010 20:07

Norfolk maybe if you ring and explain - such letters are often pretty standard might not be so inflexible in reality

MummyLovesSadie · 27/02/2010 20:14

Norfolk they will have some cancellations. I sadly had to cancel my three 12 week scans last year as the mc's happened before that.

Pookey sausage butties & broccoli???!

pookey · 27/02/2010 20:25

twas not a good combination

Norfolkbumpkin · 27/02/2010 20:32

I think I will phone the clinic on Monday. I am kicking myself now for waiting until I was 6 weeks before going to gp. If I had gone earlier I might have been seen quicker.

Norfolkbumpkin · 27/02/2010 20:35

MummylovesSadie, I had a very vivid and upsetting dream last night that I was having a miscarriage. I was it a bit of a state when I woke up, so to then find out I wont get any scans until a while yet I am a bit nervous. I just want to make sure everything is ok. God I am a miserable bugger at the moment........

tiredfeet · 27/02/2010 20:42

I am so jealous of you lot talking about eating yummmy food and fruit!

I've had my best food day for a week now and it was: an ice lolly, an apple juice, a few cream crackers, and a couple of 'chicken dipper' things. spread out through the day, and it felt like an enormous feast! I can't wait to be able to eat properly again, I am constantly fantasing about all the food I will enjoy, and even more, about drinking a glass of water which tastes fresh, rather than horrible and metallic. DH has promised we can go for a really big meal out when I finally feel better, so at least that is something to look forward to

sorry will stop moaning soon (I hope). in the meantime, I have provisionally decided that the baby will be grounded until its 18 for making me feel so ill

pookey · 27/02/2010 21:08

What do you think you will go for tiredfeet curry, italian, chinese? I could murder some apple juice right now.

Worth a try Norfolk, this dreaming business is not fun.

Nymphadora · 27/02/2010 21:21

norfolk apparantly here they only do dating scan at 12 weeks so it may be that they now do them later anyway.BUt we don't have nuchal
