Due October 2010 - anyone else??

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

ThePFJ yes cramps can be totally normal.

Welcome Xavielli are you a cake maker?

Off out to buy some oranges now!

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 08:52

BUnderthebonnet am thinking I ought to tell my HoD, too. For similar reasons. I want them to be able to decide they want no one to cover me, or advertise for someone to cover me, in good time!

Last time I gave them loads of notice, but they still only managed to get a load of supply teachers to cover me, and no one 'permanent'.

How are people coping with workload? (I guess I'm especially asking teachers here, but it must apply to everyone).

I used to do all my marking/planning once DS was in bed. But he doesn't go to bed til 8/ 8.30, and by then I'm shattered and can't think any more, and generally fall asleep myself.

On my 'days off' I'm looking after DS, so don't get to really do much work. I'm really beginning to panic, what with coursework being handed in and reports having to be written and all the rest of it.

God! I wish people hadn't started discussing minieggs! I really want some now. What with that and the 'favourite cheese' thread, I'm going to struggle not to look 38 weeks pregnant by the end of this week!!

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 09:08

I can't believe how amazing you PG teachers are... how you manage to cope with all that work and LO's running around is frankly amazing. Pat yourselves on the back.

picc · 27/02/2010 09:42

I think it's an advantage sometimes, tbh. You don't have time to stop and think all day, and you're basically always on your feet and moving around.

It's only ever at break/lunchtime I feel a bit grim. And, as I've said before, whoever I have last period really gets the grumpy end of the stick!

But it's once the schoolday ends it gets to be a problem. I'm completely shattered and still have loads of admin-ey stuff to do.... bleurgh!

(I may have just eaten some ice cream already today to try and cheer myself up! don't think I can really blame that on being pregnant!!)

Xavielli · 27/02/2010 09:42

I agree with ThePFJ, I'm finding it hard to be civil to my own kids right now, let alone 30 others!

picc · 27/02/2010 09:45

I think my DH will tell you he gets the rough deal. I manage to keep it together all day, and then turn into a grouchy headachey horrible person at night who can't bear to eat/talk/do anything other than put DS to bed!

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 10:09

You need an injection of mini-eggs STAT!!

clarechick · 27/02/2010 10:17

Hi there, Can join too? Bit of a latecomer but have been watching the thread over the last couple of weeks. I'm about seven weeks and starting to feel its getting tough at work too. I have a huge 'stressful' workload and I'm just so tired all the time. Thankfully not feeling sick yet but I'm sure that will kick in soon enough!!

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 10:28

Of course you can!!!!

Welcome and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Feel free to add yourself to the list and paste it in a new message, with your EDD in the right place.

Have mini-eggs!

Wow there are loads of us here already!!! Very comforting. My cramps are driving me mad this morning.

Hermya321 · 27/02/2010 10:44

ThePFG Mmmm mini eggs!!

Samantha I know what you mean, I'm nibbling all the time. Polo mints seem to be good.

Clairechick Congratulations!!! Welcome to the thread.

Is anyone else dribbling? I've got a lot of saliva at the moment. I'm with everyone else on the tiredness front, I want work to introduce nap breaks for pregnant women. It would help if they had a comfy coach as well.

Nymphadora · 27/02/2010 11:17

Hi New People!

Did I just see someone else after oranges ?

HANDS OFF they are MINE

QuestionsAnswered · 27/02/2010 11:57

Not here as well, I have just read a thread about chocolate fudge cake and can't get the thought of it out of my head and I come here and what do I find... more things for me to drool over

Hello to more new people, would be happier with your arrival if you were after my due date, instead of before, I will be left on here at the end of october, while you are all cooing over your new babies, especially as I went over by nearly 2 weeks last time!

PFJ, thanks, have made a note of your kind offer and will hold you to that

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 13:12

Have just had serious talk to my hubbie about being SUPER NICE to me during this PG. He put this baby in me, so he is just as responsible. This baby has now comepletely got my body to ransom. Therefore all my emotional carryings on about being extremely happy, or sad, or in shock because although I wanted another baby I SO wasn't ready for this, will be tolerated and pandered to. (Think of someone training for their first parachute jump, they train and train and train, and then get up in the plane to jump and shout ARGH I'M NOT READY - thats how I feel today) He will listen to my gripes and worries and nod and hug me and try to be consoling, EVEN if I said all this 20 minutes ago.

Husband I know you have a poorly back, and I will try to do things for you and always be nice to you, but its time for my TLC.

Maybe I can get him to buy me more mini-eggs?

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 13:13

completely* buggerit.

Nymphadora · 27/02/2010 13:25

Thanks PFJ

Hi Everyone & Newbies

Is anyone else starting to dream about food? It was fried mushrooms last night; I think I was talking about them in my sleep. Weird!! I hardly ever eat mushrooms.
Yesterday is was eggs with really runny yolks and before that it was fried tomatoes! I think I?m going loopy, wish it was healthy stuff??

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 15:52

Eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms sound pretty healthy to me!!! I am mad for runny boiled eggs at the moment. Am limiting the amount I have, although last pregnancy I had loads and Baby and me were fine!!

I dreamt last night I was trapped in a hayloft and then I later realised I was a robot made of hay. Erm.

I know. I must be weird.

Vikks · 27/02/2010 15:58

I've been trying not to give in to the eggs....we'll see.
Maybe I just need a giant fry up!!
