Due October 2010 - anyone else??

loueytbg · 21/01/2010 13:26

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Elsa, I am really glad that you have got an appointment, the waiting can be one of the worst things when you are worrying. Will keep everything crossed for you.

Dontstopmenow, will you be under consultant care? If so you may get more reassurance when you have your appointment and will at least have a good chance to talk about it. that your midwife, wasn't able to be more supportive.

Martini, glad you have stayed here, the more the merrier

Jennimoo, your parents will love the pictures!

AbFabT · 26/02/2010 12:04

Elsa123, I don't know about taut, but my tummy has felt like I've been doing Abs exercises for about a week! I am just over eight weeks gone.
I used to have quite a flat tummy, I think there's a slight bump there now, though I think it must be too early at eight weeks, and maybe it's just cake!

Two more weeks before we tell my DH's parents (they don't live close to us, and we want to tell them face-to-face). So far, we have only told my mum. I am bursting to tell people, and feel like a liar when people ask me questions, but we want to tell his parents before our friends.

Martini, glad you are here. It occurred to me the other day that NONE of us may have October babies. Those of us due in the first half of October could well be a couple of weeks early, and get into September, and the latter half of the October crew could be late and end up in November! Highly unlikely, I know, but I'm just saying!

ThePFJ · 26/02/2010 12:55

Hi again everyone, I have updated the list to include myself, any other fellow new posters here please feel free to do the same... i.e. copy this list and paste, then add your details at the bottom. At some point perhaps some very useful/bored person can put them in order of EDD Expected Due dates so we can see who's 'first up' hahaha nearer the time our little ones are coming.
If I have somehow cocked this list up please kill me later and ammend it!!!

tiredfeet · 26/02/2010 13:21

jennimoo congratulations on the scan! It must be so lovely. I'm fairly near Portsmouth too so almost tempted to pay for one (although at the minute I haven't been well enough to leave the house for a week!), How lovely to be able to send a picture to your parents.

elsa123 I'm glad you've managed to get an appointment sorted. I have had very mild twinges and cramping but not like you describe - but then everyone probably experiences things differently. I'm pleased you managed to persuade the doctors, as hopefully on monday you will get reassurance from the scan and be able to relax a bit.

seashells very good timing to get your child to nap while the olympics is on . I am loving the snowboard and ski cross too, although happily watching almost all of it (except the speed skating, which made me feel dizzy!).

tiredfeet · 26/02/2010 13:22

oh and congratulations and welcome to the new people

Nymphadora · 26/02/2010 13:42

AbfabT as long as I don't go into labour V early I WILL be an October as I should have mine w/b 4th Nice to be able to plan and hopefully it will work out that DH will get 3 weeks including half term

MummyLovesSadie · 26/02/2010 13:58

Elsa try not to worry too much about the pains, I see them as reassurance that my beanie is growing. Sometimes mine get so bad they wake me up at night. I use a hot wheat bag to help with the pain. I had exactly the same pains when I was pregnant with dd right through the 1st trimester & with the three pregnancies last year that I mc'd I didn't get the pains. Two of my friends have had the same thing with both pregnancies, both have ended up in epu for a reassurance scan & both now have healthy babies! Re having your scan on your own - I was on my own for my scan on Wednesday & I'd rather be on my own that have to chat inanely to someone! It enabled me to get into 'the zone'!

Congrats to all of those who've had good scans, lets keep em coming!

shieldbug · 26/02/2010 17:52

Elsa123 I am getting constant pains too, but neither the gp nor the hospital thought it was a problem. Since I have been quite closely monitored so far, I reckon that's a good sign. For me it feels like consequence of all the stretching that's going on.
I think the pains have to be quite intense before they are considered to be a worrying symptom.
Good luck with your appointment. I will be thinking of you.

ThePFJ · 26/02/2010 19:37

I need mini-eggs. NEED.

jennimoo · 26/02/2010 20:14

That's just mean, now I need mini eggs too ;)

ThePFJ · 26/02/2010 20:16

I have another bag here... come over for eggs and hot chocolate!!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 26/02/2010 21:05

tiredfeet lol he needs little encouragement to sleep then- he's hyper the rest of the day!

thepfj welcome

well, been to gp and no reassurance scan, only if I get cramps etc. The first nhs scan is a full nuchal at 14 weeks- so great but not so great- I want to see a heart beat now!!!! I'm not nearly as sick as with ds so can't get out my head that I'm waiting to mc, even though I'm hopefully not.

I hope everyone has a good weekend planned, we are getting ready for what looks like a monsoon hitting us on Sunday luckily had a gorgeous sunny day today to enjoy before it hits!

ThePFJ · 26/02/2010 21:37

Ok can I ask a question please? I have had period like cramps almost everyday so far during this pregnancy, obviously I only found out I was def. preggers yesterday so I havent contacted the midwife yet... are cramps normal???

Thanks xxx

BUnderTheBonnet · 26/02/2010 21:42

ThePFG I think lots of us have had cramps like that. They seem to come and go as well, just to add to the alarm...

Work is tough at the mo - how do I get through another 7 weeks of this? I'm also worried I'm going to blurt out that I'm pg without meaning to.

And they're making staffing decisions in about a month's time in my department (I'm a teacher) which may lead to someone (not me) being made redundant. I think I'll have to say something then about me not being there in September - I couldn't live with myself otherwise.

ThePFJ · 26/02/2010 21:47

I agree, think I'd probably have to own up to it too if I was you. (I used to be a teacher too) I know how hard it can be to staff a school sometimes.....

Have some of my mini-eggs to cheer you up....

Night night all xxxx

kawaiiko · 26/02/2010 22:57

Hi all, just taking myself off the list as moving over to the November thread. My GP gave me an edd of 2 Nov, which I think is a bit late but am happy to take the bit of leeway at the end.

Nymphadora · 27/02/2010 00:20

No mini eggs for me I don't like chocolate anymore or crisps>

I want huge oranges and granny smiths

Hermya321 · 27/02/2010 01:14

Wow Nymph I wish I had your urges, I had to force a smoothie down my throat today.

All I want to eat is crisps at the moment. All that hard work and excercise is to be ruined by the LO and it's addiction to the salty goodness of Pringles!!!

Nymphadora · 27/02/2010 07:21

I craved oranges with dd1 I remember being in hospital & other women ordering &saving them for me from meals cos you were only allowed one!

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 07:53

I am currently craving runny boiled egg, fish, and mini eggs. Although I am not sure if I 'crave' minieggs, as much as just scoffing loads because you only get them at Easter.

Xavielli · 27/02/2010 08:02

May I join you please? I got a BFP last Friday then did a CB digital that said I was 2-3. So that means I'm about 5 weeks. From LMP it works out to due on the 22nd Oct (I think)

I don't know what to think at the moment. I haven't even told the Dad yet. Think we might have split up last night, we certainly slept seperately anyway! He doesn't want kids and this is a pure accident. I could never get rid of a baby, but how can I deal with having a child whos father doesn't want them?

I have a DS and a DD already whom I would not change for the world. If I end up a single mum (again) I'll deal with it. Just a bit up in the air at the mo.

Sorry for waffling. Feels good to write it down.

ThePFJ · 27/02/2010 08:21

Xavielli, of course you can join us!!!! Add your details to the baby list anytime you want. I am so sorry you and partner are having troubles, and being pregnant all of a sudden is bound to make you super sensitive and emotional right now, especially if he is being a total git. Kick his ass for me.

I have mini-eggs, so help yourself honey and CONGRATULATIONS on your new baby on the way!!!!!!

SamanthaB123 · 27/02/2010 08:21

Good morning all,

Not having a great time...constant nausea is really overwhelming. The only way I have any contro over it is to keep eating. If I don't have something every couple of hours it's awful. I don't like the sensation of food in my mouth though so it's all a bit of a struggle! Quite a few people know now as it's difficult to hide the eating. Fx it does work out...

Xavielli - welcome! I'm due on the 20th and am six and a half weeks so you might be a little further on than you thought! Hope you sort things out with dp.

Just off to eat again, SB
