Due October 2010 - anyone else??

loueytbg · 21/01/2010 13:26

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Norfolkbumpkin · 22/02/2010 16:36

Well, I had my first appointment with gp this afternoon, and it was just a filling in forms session. My first midwife appt. has been booked for two weeks tommorrow when I will be 8+2. I was really pleased to find out that my local NHS Trust now offers Nuchal scans to all women over the age of 35, as in my last pregancy I had to pay privately for it. I had earmarked £165 (the current fee) ready to pay and am rather pleased that I can now spend it on something else

picc · 22/02/2010 17:00

Hey Norfolk, I think (from your name) that we're probably in the same county, if not town . Same here. Am 35, and they said I can have that scan this time, too.

God! I was in such a mard all day today. For no real reason. Except perhaps the fact that I just feel generally tired and grotty.

Had some tricky year 11s last thing today, and just kind of growled at them for an hour. Not usually my style. Worked a treat, though. May have to try more of it Seem to remember this happening in my last pregnancy. Was kind of okay for all my classes except the ones who I saw last thing in the day. They really got the brunt of my "i-feel-grotty-ness".

I've told one friend at work, and she said it's rather noticeable that I'm very pale and eating LOTS more than usual....

ho hum....

Vikks · 22/02/2010 17:00

Ninthwave ? It?s wonderful to hear your scan when so well. I?ve got my dildocam on Thursday and can?t wait, my EDD is 13th too!

Delilah - FX

Lulabell - I?m eating loads too; I know I?ve put weight on but I?m not getting on the scales. My waist seems to be going already, at this rate I?ll look PG just because I?m fat!!!

I found a spare HCG test in my drawer and decided to use it this morning, as I?m getting very paranoid because I?ve not got MS. The test line was so dark even before the whole stick had been saturated! Big smiles all day here, I think DH thinks I?m crazy. Is it just me? Anyone else still checking?

DillyDora · 22/02/2010 18:05

Thinking of you Delilah Vikks I don't have ms really either (hope I'm not tempting fate here!) and I do wonder....!! I'm not checking again as other things are happening (boobs! at last! happy days!) but I know what you mean!

Lulabell I hear you about the pee-ing! I had to keep scooting out of class today to go to the loo. And as for the gas I am a danger to myself and others....

I get to see the dr on Thursday but from what I've read on this site it'll be a pretty underwhelming appointment, just a paperwork exercise right?

Ivy I don't work out anything like as much as you (I wish!) just do some quite full on yoga but like you I am getting sooo tired and quite wobbly so rubbish at balancing postures. I thought I'd just step it down a bit rather than stopping.

Work is the worst bit for me - between paranoia that I've got 'I'm pregnant' tattooed on my forehead and worrying about committing to projects - yuk, very odd feeling.

QuestionsAnswered · 22/02/2010 18:27

Hi all

Hope those of you with MS start to feel better soon and hope the Doctor is some help Grotbags. Sorry you haven't had a more hopeful day today Delilah

Vikks, I have got a digital one that I am going to do in a day or two to see if the number of weeks has increased, am 5 weeks tomorrow. I haven't got MS yet, and was going to the toilet alot but that has stopped before the weekend, so have to admit to feeling anxious.

I alternate between feeling pregnant and not iyswim. Could not sleep at all last night and definitely felt grumpy today.

@ dildocam!

pookey · 22/02/2010 22:26

Oh my gosh I am a woman obsessed been browsing mumsnet for hours. Must go to bed otherwise cant complain about being exhausted to dp.

Questions answered hope test is reassuring.

General hello to everyone

Elsa123 · 23/02/2010 08:15

Morning! My attempt to curb bloating and burping started with commitment this morning. a bowl of oatbran and natural yoghurt with a fig, passion fruit and a squeeze of agave nectar. I'll let you know if its helpful!

Dillydora- the tiredness sounds pants- keep your fluids up.

I know what you all mean about repeating tests but I'm going to hold off- I do have symptoms- sore breasts still, bloating, burping etc, just not the ms or tiredness. Having had a mmc last time, with no symptoms, it does make me paranoid- but I'm defintely having more symptoms than I did last time.

Hopw everyone is feeling well this morning x x

Nymphadora · 23/02/2010 09:24

Am knackered again. Had to get dh to cancel appt last night so he could sort thebuilders whilst I slept through them banging a hole in the wall. Slept on and off til 9 then through til 7 this am. Am now having a quick lie down before taking dd2 to an appt.

Have midwife this pm am hoping it's a pre booking in appt as some people seem to have cos dh can't come

jennimoo · 23/02/2010 10:44

Hope those of you waiting and worrying get some answers soon. Am thinking of you.

I'm 'working at home' again today. I seem to have no motivation to do any work at the moment, especially while I'm feeling queasy. Thankfully I'm not too busy at work.

I still have one boob significantly larger than the other. I really thought the other one would catch up but it definitely hasn't yet! Went bra shopping at the weekend, and was quite impressed with the playtex ones, as under a top they look pretty much like a wired one.

MartiniMummy · 23/02/2010 12:11

Can I join your group please??? Just done a pg test and it's positive - doctor's appt to confirm tomorrow. According to MN, due 31 October.

First month of trying - he shoots, he scores! Hurrah ) It will be our second - DS is 11 months old.

No sickness yet - didn't have the first time, so I'm crossing everything for second time lucky too.

Great posts from you all

Nymphadora · 23/02/2010 12:35

Congrats MartiniMummy

I have just been bra shopping for the thrid time this month [grr] ones I bought last week feeling uncomfy now I cant afford this habit even at matalan prices !
Tops are starting to go too, this mornings was too tight across the bust and lkept creeping up and yesterdays didn't really fit my boobs in so there will be a nice pile put away fro when bf stops

Meanbeansmum · 23/02/2010 12:49

My first mw appointment is today! Yikes, I hope the mw is nice.
I'm still sick/being sick, and I'm losing weight too. :-?

Welcome to the newbies. :

I need new bras too, has anyone seen any reasonably priced maternity bras anywhere?

Nymphadora · 23/02/2010 13:54

Been to see mw. Quite rushed as she didn't have time to do all the forms. Sent me away with loads of books leafletsand forms to fill in.

Asked about the cramping and she said it was probably worse due to the extra scar tissue.

Next appointment is in2 months scan will be that week too.

I was hoping scan was earlier as I wanted to tell the kids after that. By the time I have had it other people will have guessed which isn't going to be fair on them

MrsMarc · 23/02/2010 14:04

Hi everyone,
I've been playing catch up as haven't been on for a while. i've been busy sitting in a&e (as instructed by emercency doc) for hours with what turned out to be the worse migraine (had it for over 24 hours! Yuk!).

I got a bit worried because for years every month, ive had this 24 hour migraine, plus a big hard painful spot that comes up a week before my period. Then I got those symptoms again just before 8 weeks pg. All seems to be okay now - fingers crossed.

Had a very tearful incident over a steak, which, looking back was actually quite funny. Being a medium-rare steak girl, i was so upset to eat a lump of charcoal and blubbed throughout the entire meal. Pathetic!!

24 hour sickness seems to have gone, which im pleased about. Just got large sore boobs now and severe tiredness.

I had 'booking in' appt this afternoon, told MW that symptoms have eased and she reckons I might be further along than initially thought. How does this work as I had a period on 27th Dec so couldnt hae got PG before then? Confused!

Nymphadora · 23/02/2010 14:13

I have taken t sitting by the radiator crying in the afternonn through cold, tiredness and whatever little thing has upset me that day( eg dh smelling funny)

MrsMarc · 23/02/2010 14:18

Nymphdora - I know the feeling. Really bad time to do the kitchen up and be replacing radiators too. Brrrr. Sob. Brrrr. Sob!

tiredfeet · 23/02/2010 14:25

hi everyone, I spent the whole night being sick hourly it was absolutely miserable. I have been given some rehydration fluid by the doctor and told to see a doctor tomorrow if it carries on. I feel so bad now it is hard to remember to be happy and excited. Managed to keep an orange juice lolly down now though so fingers crossed things are improving. If it carries on like this I'm never having sex again

MrsMarc · 23/02/2010 14:29

Oh tiredfeet that sounds horrendous. Fingers crossed that you improve soon x

delilahbelle · 23/02/2010 14:55

Hi all
The bleeding is heavier, looks like I may be out... such is life
Best wishes for a healthy and happy pregnancy for the rest of you.

excitedfirsttimer · 23/02/2010 15:03

Hi All,
really sad to say but I am out too, went for a scan yesterday and they could not find a heart beat (I should be 8 weeks) am bleeding really heavily today so its really not looking good. Would someone mind taking me off the list, deleting myself will set me off crying again but I don't really want to be still on it for the next 7 months. Good luck to you all. and so sorry for you Delilah .

AbFabT · 23/02/2010 15:27

delilahbelle and excitedfirsttimer, I am so so sorry to hear your news. I don't really know what to say.
Take a little time, and hopefully you will both be back here in no time.

excitedfirsttimer, I am not sure how to amend the list - I don't think we can edit posts, so the next list to be added will have to remove your name, I think.

Very best wishes and hugs to you both.

x

MrsMarc · 23/02/2010 15:31

delilahbelle and excitedfirsttimer - im so sorry hear your news. I guess no one can really say anything that will make you feel better. Time will be the only healer. I really hope that you guys get to join this thread again soon. Take care xx

QuestionsAnswered · 23/02/2010 15:50

delilahbelle and excitedfirsttimer, I am so sad for you both and hope you are able to get support from your loved ones. Just can't imagine what you are going through. It seems so cruel.

jennimoo · 23/02/2010 15:56

I can't imagine how horrid this must be for you guys.
