Due October 2010 - anyone else??

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Charnoco- knowing exactly how you're feeling, especially with the uncertainty and the medical hedge betting. Which ever way it goes, I hope you get a quick resolution- my thoughts are with you x x x

I bought some bottle green/green bottle giner cordial lol! It's nice! Tesco stock it too if that helps. £2.98.

I'm having a good day today. Yesterday was BAD!!! I seem to have one good day then a bad day. Maybe it's natuire's way of allowing me to still run a house with 3 children lol! At least 1/2 days they get well fed lmao!!!

Hi,

I've added myself - got my BFP this afternoon!

I'm feeling a bit nauseous, but I think that could be the pregnacare, cos I felt nauseous weeks ago to be honest! Also getting weird crampy, stretchy feelings in my abdomen which I'm sure I didn't get with my first. And my nipples are nowhere near as big as they were with her either.

I won't be seeing my GP this time (shock horror) as I will be booking straight in with the independent midwife I used last time.

charncoco, so sorry to hear that , just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and sorry that you're going through this.

SamanthaB123 · 16/02/2010 17:59

Hello all...I read all of the posts religiously but there is so much news and so many BFP's I never have time to post. It is now the school holidays however and I at least have time to join in a little bit..!

Hello to everyone I haven't said congratulations to .

nymph Glad to hear that you are doing ok. My boobs are wild and uncontrollable at the moment. I had to buy new bras today because the ones that I was wearing wouldn't do up properly. I feel great now though - like a new girl! Try not to worry too much about having a bit of tummy ache. I think that some sensation and discomfort is usual - it's chaos in their at the moment and our bodies are adjusting and reorganising ready for the months ahead. I have had 'discomfort' quite a bit and have read endlessly to try to find out when to worry. I think if the pain is stabbing or accompanied by blood then it's a good idea to get advice.

charnoco Oh honey, I hope that you are ok. Fingers crossed that it will be ok - bleeding is really common in pregnancy and ofter it still works out fine. I had a mc in December and it was a really tough time. I knew that I had mc'd because I did a pregnancy test a few days after my first positive one and it was negative. After that I just had to wait to bleed. I had already had two ordinary, uneventful pregnancies and just hadn't considered that I would miscarry. There is a really good thread (I don't know how to post the link to it) for people ttc after a mc if you need it. It really helped me to talk to people who were having / or have had similar experiences. Now I've read this back I don't know if I have been helpful...I hope I have

IlooklikeGrotbagstoday Sorry you are so sick. I haven't started actually throwing up yet but with the last two it really kicked in after week 6. Just in time to be back at school . Hope you feel better tomorrow...

I did my spare CBD test last night as was feeling a bit of a wreck about the whole thing. It was fine, 2-3 weeks came up quickly which is what I was expecting. Phew. Went shopping today and had a moment in the Mamas and Papas shop on Regent Street. Walked in, started crying, had to leave. What an idiot. My hormones are as uncontrollable as my boobs .

Hope everyone else managing with the ms...SB

Ruthie84 · 16/02/2010 18:53

Hi Congratulations and good luck to everybody! I recently found out that I am pregnant too. Due around the 15th of October so it is very early days but I am also desperate to tell people/ get excited though I know it is too early. It is so hard waiting. This is my third pregnancy but my second baby. I've got a little girl just turned 2 who is still breast feeding. Is anybody else in this situation? I'm sure it is not a problem just more tender than usual. I'm new to mumsnet so struggling with all of the abbreviations but I'm sure I'll catch on!

Take Care...

SamanthaB123 · 16/02/2010 19:11

Welcome Ruthie and congratulations . You are so brave breastfeeding - if anyone goes anywhere near my poor sensitive boobs I couldn't be responsible for my actions!!! If you post your details I'll add you to the list unless you want to do it yourself? See the previous page to see what it looks like! SB

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 16/02/2010 20:20

Hi Ruthie I'm due around the 12th oct and I'm also BFing my 17mth old DS, I intend to carry on for as long as he needs it and I was just about to post the other day about BFing during pregnancy and I saw your post so I'm really glad I'm not the only one on this thread- maybe there are more? But yes my nipples feel very tender, like they are bruised and it's really uncomfortable the first few sucks but settles down then.

My breasts don't feel sore though, it's just the actual feeding initially. Is this how it is for you? My DS also had a few days of diarhheoa (sp?) when I was about 4 weeks and I was wondering if this was to do with my hormones. Did your DD get anything like that?

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 16/02/2010 20:45

charncoco thinking of you...I hope you get answers soon x

Elsa123 · 16/02/2010 21:05

Evening all,

Welcome to the new people- congratulations! Thebreastmilk'sonme- well done you! Not that I'd know about breastfeeding, but letting your little one near your breasts deserves a medal in early pregnancy!! I can't even touch my own breasts.

I felt nauseous for the first time today, but I think I would have done anyway as the fields around my office were sprayed with sewage and it smelt absolutely disgusting, people were sat with sleeves over noses. I then got in my car and gave myself travel sickness! Felt much better when I got home and walked the dog in the fresh air. I was beginning to wonder if I'm putting weight on already as my skirt felt too tight. Have decided its bloating- quite bad at that. I did not think it was a early pregnancy symptom- but having googled it it is! Apparently the increased progesterone relaxes the digestive tract which makes it sluggish and also causes constipation. Aaah! I thought. Nicking my husband's bran flakes at breakfast . How is everyone else doing? Hanging in there Charnococo? x x

Hi to all the newbies, so much happens when you miss a day doesnt it?! Sorry to hear your news Charnococo, I hope it is ok. Nice to hear all about your symptoms... mine are not too bad, got the beginings of nausea I am 5+3 so to be expected, really thirsty, bloating and really tired. So not too bad at the moment.

Still havent made an appointment to see a doctor. I am going to wait until the children go back to school so that I dont have a million and one questions from them! Has anyone else told their dc yet? or anyone else?

I have named my (non existant at the moment but hopefully not for long) bump Mini. Any other names yet?

Love to you all

xx

ps. loving the name change ILookLikeGrotBagsToday

Hermya321 · 17/02/2010 01:26

Oh Charcoco I hope things work out for you.

I seem to have nicknamed the unborn one as the Munchkin. Don't ask me why, it's sort of stuck now.

Norfolkbumpkin · 17/02/2010 11:21

I have named the growing dc little bean. I am 5+3 today and am feeling very little in the way of symptoms yet, so have decided that I will wait until I am 7 weeks before I go to the doctor. I would rather be a little further along before I go bothering her as I know nothing mech will happen. I seem to remember from my last pregnancy that I didn't go until a similar time, and the doctor was quite matter of fact that it was very early stages and to be confident but still cautious that things can go wrong in the early stages. I left feeling rather deflated. We have moved since then, so my experience may be quite different this time.

SamanthaB123 · 17/02/2010 11:49

Has anyone else found that their clothes aren't fitting as they used to? I'm only 5+ 1 today and alhthough I haven't put on any weight, the weight I've got seems to have shifted about . My skinny jeans will not do up no matter what I do and my other trousers and skirts are really tight. This is a disaster. Because of my expanding bust I had to buy shirts that would do up yesterday (for work). I don't want to have to buy many larger clothes because I won't be able to wear them for very long before my bump develops properly. We're also not telling anyone for a while, I don't want to be looking any different.

Elsa123 · 17/02/2010 11:58

The bloating is making my waistline feel bigger and my breasts are much bigger, but my clothes are still fitting. However, I know I can't wear a suit I was planning on tomorrow as its one where the jacket should be done up and there's no way it'll stretch across my chest, so I'm going to wear a dress- except I haven't tried it one yet....

Norfolkbumpkin · 17/02/2010 13:50

Samantha and Elas, I know exactly how you feel. I get quite bloated as the day wears on. I would like to hold off telling anyone our news until I am 12 weeks plus,(Did announcement at 14 weeks last time)but at the moment I cannot see how I am going to hide the bump for that long. Unfortunately I don't have many baggy tops/jumpers either!

IlooklikeGrotbagstoday · 17/02/2010 14:02

I've found that i have completely lost my waist. I'm a funny almost square shape! Have been in maternity jeans for a couple of weeks now because of it. It's not anything to do with weight either with the amount of MS i have!

I think the stretching pains have finished for a while, so i take it my liver and pancreas are now successfully squished into another part of my body.

I'm sure i didn't suffer this much with DS but maybe i was so excited by everything it just didn't bother me. Oh i can't wait for the blooming stage and Grotbags can disappear.

IlooklikeGrotbagstoday · 17/02/2010 14:04

Oh i sound sooooo moany lol

SamanthaB123 · 17/02/2010 14:17

I am so glad it's not just me - I was feeling like I was being silly. I know that the difference in shape is nothing compared to what is going to happen, but I just wasn't very big before so it's quite noticable that I look different. Because I seem to have 'squared off' if I wear baggy things I look pregnant and it I wear tight things ... well I can't because they would be undone, which would just be odd . So what do we do now???

With my other two pregnancies I just told everyone whenever I felt like it, but having miscarried two months ago I am less keen to do that. DH really wants us to hold off too, but I can't see how people just won't 'know'. I am eating a lot and a lot of the time I am eating (the in-joke at the moment is that I can't do anything because I am busy feeding the baby!!!). I am a teacher and I work really closely with a number of people, all of whom are women and none of whom are stupid. I am also off coffee and there is no way to explain that...as it was I was drinking decaf. Why would anyone give it up?

Mind you, I'd much rather have these worries than something any more serious!

Grotbags - I only feel sick when I am hungry or if I haven't eaten for a while. Does keeping your food intake up help you at all? First thing is worst because it's hours since I ate, but once I get something down it's much better.

Elsa123 · 17/02/2010 14:44

Just sat up and felt my sides...not square yet, just sticky outy at the front which is all gas and I was prone to stickyoutiness anyway but not extreme. I also suffered the humiliation of burping loudly twice in company today, with no warning- at least it wasn't the more offensive of the bodily gas escapes I suppose. Alarmingly just had to put some chocolate down as its making me feel a bit ill- this could be serious.....

Samantha- here's your excuse 'Well I was drinking decaf coffee anyway and realised that the only reason I used to drink coffee was for the caffeine hit and now I'm drinking it for no reason so thought I'd give this mint tea a go as my DH complained about my coffee breath' then open your mouth wide, advance towards someone asking loudly 'how's my breath now??'- no one will be suspicious at all
