Due October 2010 - anyone else??

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Hi everyone,
To those who haven't tried Bottlegreens Ginger and Lemongrass cordial, please do, it's working wonders for me. Much higher ginger concentration than ginger biscuits and much healthier too. It's great hot or cold, it really feels like it gets your circulation going again when you are cold. Waitrose stock it. Let me know how you get on! I've added myself onto the list- is anyone in Surrey / A3 area?

lilmissmummy I have done 8 so far so you aren't aloneif you do!

Am ridiculously tired today . In bed at half 8 last night as I couldn't sit up any longer downstairs and woke half 7ish then have slept on and off all day. Not sure whether its my meds , pregnancy or both. Desperate to feel better tomorrow as I have a lot of driving with work & not sure I can

Hermya321 · 14/02/2010 15:51

Afternoon all!

Suddenly it's like I've been hit with a pg hammer. I've been feeling nausous and been having really restless sleep. I was absolutely freezing this morning and have layered up whilst DH is sat there in a t-shirt, not fair. I also had a real wave of tiredness this morning, just sat there doing nothing and suddenly BAM I want to curl up in a ball and fall asleep. So I did just that.

lilmissmummy I've done five so far.

LadyGD Congratulations!!!

LadyGD · 14/02/2010 16:15

Thank you for helping me out TheBreastMilk - yes have found acronyms list now so much easier
Thanks everyone for all your congratulations - does the extra line mean it's a definite yes? Honestly I can't believe it yet. How many tests should I do to be sure? Also what happens next...I guess I go to the doctor right?? What do they ask you at this early stage? Sorry for the dunce questions, it just seems so weird to be in this situation when my husband and I had just decided we better get this PCOS treated - he's booked in for a sperm test on Monday just to be sure...!!

ps all this talk of ginger, my dermatologist gave me an amazing recipe for ginger tea, you use fresh ginger and water and simmer for about 40-45 mins then strain it off - erm fingers crossed of course I won't need it

Nymphadora · 14/02/2010 16:55

ladyGD my dh had just done his second sperm test on Friday and came home from work to find my waving +ve tests and

No idea what happens next either. GP insisted I see him as soon as I am pg as he has been trying to get my BP under control for months and changing meds so I can take them when I'm pg. He thinks I need to be under consultant for that too when I'm pg. Will see GP and ask about midvife etc then. Am hoping I'm allowed shared care as I don't want to go to the hospital everytime. 1/2 from home and an hour from work will make appointments really awkward where as midwife would be just up my street from home.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 14/02/2010 19:26

Thanks for the good wishes everyone! Flat lovely and by the sea so needed an appropriately seasidey name we're surrounded by packing boxes but ds has a lovely bedroom sorted and we've found the wine glasses for some (non alcoholic) bubbles

getting sorted with a gp tomorrow so hoping for a mw appt soon!

loobyboo · 14/02/2010 21:59

Congrats to the newbies

ms has kicked in now this last week, ( and not just in the morning and not like my other 2) no actual sickness just feeling it and rushing to the toilet. So not a good idea to cook my dh a cooked breakfast today. The things you do for love.

Getting used to the daily injections ow.

Still can't get my head around it all, i keep worrying every little twinge or pain I just think about the mmc, my dh keeps trying to be positive but it's hard to think like that, I guess until a scan, it will then seem real.

Am 6+3 so a little time to wait till see mw.

Hermya321 · 14/02/2010 22:11

Evening all! I hope you've all had a good valentines day.

Loobyboo What are your injections for? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you though.

Seashells Same here, I'm going to ring my GP so I can get a booking in slot. Apparently they all work out of the local surgerys round these parts. The things we learn.

delilahbelle · 15/02/2010 09:12

Hi all

I can't believe I get to post on one of these threads finally.
I tested positive on a CB digital and a FR yesterday at 3+3, so I am now 3 weeks 4 days pregnant and due 28th Oct. Took my second FR this morning and the line had got darker, which I hope is good.
Most amazing valentines present ever for my DH, this will be our 1st. I'm praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby.
I've added myself to the list, hope that's OK!

tiredfeet · 15/02/2010 10:33

congratulations delilah - what a lovely valentines day for you!

I spent valentines day feeling very queasy, and even worse today, but after so long ttc I am weirdly sort of enjoying feeling sick, don't know if anyone else is the same. Not because I like feeling sick, just because at times I lost all hope I would finally being pregnant. If the nauseau turns into actual sickness I might change my mind though!! I am going to try the bottlegreen stuff as soon as I can get my hands on some, I loved it even when not pregnant so glad people have found it works. At the minute I am finding that eating plums (the only fruit i can face, weirdly) is helping a bit, that and making DH do the cooking

delilahbelle · 15/02/2010 13:31

Hi tiredfeet

It was a very good day. Although I still can't believe I am actually pregnant. It's very early as well so there is always the worry things won't develop. Got to try and stay positive (in all ways).
For those of you that are feeling sick, when did your sickness start? I almost want to start feeling ill myself weirdo

Del.x

Meanbeansmum · 15/02/2010 14:58

My left boob is getting massive and itchy and heavy. Just needed to get that out lol!

Del, it's alwasy nausea in week 5 and vomit in week 6+ for me.

How's everyone else doing. Still in nausea city here! I've been thinking about booking a private nuchal fold scan? Anyone had one in other pg's? My nhs don't do them, nor do they do scan pics at 12 weeks (that upset me so much last time!).

Ivytheterrible · 15/02/2010 16:13

eeeermmm still really nothing sympton-wise here... in week 7 now. Really feel freakishly normal except for sore boobs.

I have just done another test to ensure this is all not in my mind and it was still +ve!

meanbeans have found out we get nuchal on nhs here, but am tempted by a private early scan before then just so I can see that there is something there... £75 for some peace of mind?

jennimoo · 15/02/2010 16:47

My left boob has definitely grown more than the right, but they've only started growing the last few days and aren't sore. I'm 6 + 4days, nausea started 5 days ago and gradually getting worse. Was sooooo close to puking today but still haven't. Fingers crossed I won't get worse, as I'm sick-a-phobic!

KSal · 15/02/2010 17:16

went for my booking in appt today - got an EDD of the 17th Oct. tried to book my dating scan afterwards and got told i was a little early as their diary doesn't run that far

meanbeans - i just found out that nuchal is on NHS here too (wasn't last time). I would have paid to go private though, definitely. My understanding is you go at around 11-12 weeks

delilahbelle · 15/02/2010 17:25

Hmm, no nausea for me for a while yet then hopefully... I still can't believe I'm actualy pregnant.
There is no way I am going to jinx it by going to the doctor until AF is at least a week late. No idea what scans etc or tests go on where I live, not all areas are the same then?

Hermya321 · 16/02/2010 01:44

I booked my booking in appointment today for next week. I'm quite looking forward to it, if only for the fact that I can bombard the midwife with questions.

Also tried the Bottlegreen 'Lemongrass and Ginger' stuff alongside ginger cookies. It worked a treat and I actually felt normal today for a change. Happy day!!

Meansbeans Nausea city for me as well, it isn't nice is it.

Nymphadora · 16/02/2010 02:58

Going to GP tomorrow to tell him I'm pg & find out what to do next. I am hoping not to end up completely under a consultant and not to have the same consultant I had for previous gynae probs and he had no bedside manner.

Today's symptoms included a very full bra, crying cos dd1 did, nausea and tummy ache (cue worry!)

Elsa123 · 16/02/2010 08:01

Morning!

TBH, feeling a bit nervous, as so many of you are describing dog tiredness, nausea etc and I'm ok really. Windier than a March day and my breasts hurt- a lot, but after my MMC, I'd actually give anything for more symptoms to help stave off the total and utter fear. Oh well.

Hope you're all feeling well today x x

charncoco · 16/02/2010 08:27

hi everyone, so this weekend has been a bit crap....starting spotting thurs night so had an early scan fri saw my little sac etc along with a haematoma so was told it was 50:50 on what could happen. anyway to cut a long story short, had another scan yesterday and they couldn't see anything but they said that it might b too early for them to pick up bean ( the scan i had on friday was private clinic the one yesterday was NHS)and they couldn't give me any answers. They said could be ectopic, miscarriage or early preg (talk about hedging your bets!)So i think i'm now having a miscarriage since scan have been passing fair amounts of dark red blood but having no pain as such, just mild back ache. rung GP last night and they said to wait it out n go back in today. They have drawn bloods to measure the amount of HcG in my blood and i have to go back tomoro to have another lot drawn to see if my levels are dropping or rising. So gutted. Though i think i knew from the start that something wasn't right. I'm sorry to put a dampener on this thread but needed to share. will keep you updated in case a miracle happens but i think its safe to say i've lost hope now . I hope everythings ok with everyone else xxxxxx

KSal · 16/02/2010 08:58

so sorry for you charncoco... don't worry about sharing - its part of being on this thread so early - we're all in the high risk phase still. Fingers crossed that you still get your miracle.

Meanbeansmum · 16/02/2010 09:36

charncoco... so sorry, I hope t all works out, thinking of you.xxx

Hermya321 · 16/02/2010 09:44

Charncoco I'm so sorry, I hope things work out for you and that you get your miracle. Look after yourself.

Mrsshuvel · 16/02/2010 09:50

Oh Charnoco that's awful news . I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we're here for you. Fingers crossed and sending you big hugs.
