Due October 2010 - anyone else??

loueytbg · 21/01/2010 13:26

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Hellooo! sorry only skim-read everything as not posted for so long. Am away skiing (! booked it ages ago. luckily am still very crap skiier, so even the few times i've fallen over it's not been anything major cos I go so slow!)

However, I am noticing I am tired tired TIRED! and sooooo cold!

Also suffering from MS now, but only in afternoon/ evening... (?)

Good to see some other people still breastfeeding. Me too. Boobs not too sore yet.

Welcome to all the newbies, and congrats. Will read all of this through properly when I'm back. Approaching 8 week now.... huh??? how did that happen already?

Pinkali37 · 17/02/2010 17:24

Hello, please may i join?

I am expecting #2 in October. Think i am 5 weeks but not really sure. Have been to Dr's and have been given 2 blood tests within 72 hrs as i complained of cramps which have all now gone. Got first results back and they were HCG level 3697 so am praying the results on Friday will have increased somewhat.

Had a mc before DD so am as ever paranoid and worrying although told myself that i would try and enjoy another pregnancy if i was luvky enough to get pregnant again. I was once told i would never conceive naturally as i have severe endometriosis and endometriomas and DH has 33% sperm following a reversal after 14 years!! Shows what the dr's know!!!!

SamanthaB123 · 17/02/2010 18:10

Pinkali37 Wow - congratulations - sounds like you are having a baby against all the odds. You must be thrilled! Welcome to the thread! SB

Nymphadora · 17/02/2010 19:40

Phoned to make appt with midwife today. Told them it was for a booking in appt and they offered me next week . Feels ridiculously early but I'm off work next week which will make it so much easier to attend.

Had a bit of a panic today at work as I had to restrain a child who was kicking me , luckily only my legs but it did make me feel I'm going to have to tell someone sooner than I would like

tattycoram · 17/02/2010 20:02

Hallo, I got a BFP on Saturday and am still reeling. My EDD is October 19th. I am much more excited this time round than I was with DS, but time until the 12 week scan is going soooooo slowly

EffieB · 17/02/2010 20:18

Hi all, sorry to hear about people's sickess- it's a good sign just horrid to deal with! Not too bad here so far, much better than last time.

Charncoco thinking of you xx

MummyWilliams · 17/02/2010 20:24

Hello!

I have been quietly sitting in the background since this thread began, thinking shall I join, or am I tempting fate again.

I was on the same antenatal thread this time last year. But I had a missed miscarriage at 15 weeks at the end of March 2009, the baby had died at 12 weeks. We had gone through a normal dating scan, and the baby was fine. But 3 weeks later I had some brown discharge, we contacted the midwife, she couldn't hear the baby's heartbeat, so we were referred immediately for a scan. This confirmed the baby had died and at around 12 weeks. I had the baby removed under GA. The baby was cremated, we've yet to spread the ashes.

It feels quite strange to be at almost exactly the same stage of pregnancy as we were last year - only a week behind!!!

Anyway I hope I haven't upset anybody - just wanted to get it off my chest.

On a more positive note, I had an early dating scan today. I thought I was 6+6 today with an EDD 7th October, but we are 7+1 today, so EDD now 5th October. But I have caesareans due to a man shaped pelvis .

Booking in appointment is on 5th March, I'll be 9+ weeks then.

I have really sore boobs, MS on and off through the day (but no throwing up). Gone off some foods, mainly just want to eat rubbish or salad. I keep waking up somewhere between 3am & 4am with really bad MS, which leaves me tossing and turning. Also I'm very, very tired.

Sorry for long initial post. xxx

ConstantlyWritingThankYouCards · 17/02/2010 21:53

Welcome MummyWilliams! Understandable that you've been wondering whether to join or not. Am thinking positive throughts for you.

We've had a bit of a week here - DS taken to hospital last night as low temp, limp and grey looking. He's fine now. In fact he decided to be fine as soon as a nurse tried to take his temp. Late night though and now very tired. Might head off to bed soon.

Hope you're all well and not too sick. x

Elsa123 · 17/02/2010 23:08

Welcome MW- congrats on being further along than you thought! I'm dead pleased with myself tonight, just got an essay done for my MSc YIPEEE! papers and books all over the place. Yes I know its got sod all to do with babies, but just wanted to share. Am managing to work late due to nap this afternoon. Finally stopped burping, but have trapped wind instead. marvellous. Off to bed now with a cup of mint tea and then I'll be up at 6 to pack for a trip to London- I'm banking on sleeping on the way down. Is tiredness just a possible symptom because I don't think I've really had it yet- wondering if I'm abnormal or if its suddenly going to hit me like a train. Does everyone get knackered?

Elsa123 · 17/02/2010 23:13

Ah- further use of my friend google- apparently the 1st trimester can result in a feeling of well being and increased energy. And you can also feel rubbish and knackered. So basically, you can feel the total opposite to stuff iyswim. May feel nauseous or want to drool over any food, tired or energetic, sore boobs( yes) or positively horny with bigger breasts, etc etc

Nymphadora · 18/02/2010 01:15

I am either totally zonked by 6pm or awake at 1am at the moment. I am usually in bed by 10 so somthing is going on!

I still have the horrible taste in the back of my mouth , I actually want to be sick in hope it goes!

KSal · 18/02/2010 08:34

am really struggling at work due to the tiredeness and now getting naseous into the bargain... shouldn;t have spoken too soon on the MS - i was convinced i wouldn't have it as i didn't have it last time.

is anyone els e finding that the time is passing really slowly? I am really struggling to relax about it all... i remember last time how horrible it was getting to 12 weeks before you really knew if there was anything in there.... i was hoping that i would be more relaxed this time around!

tiredfeet · 18/02/2010 10:47

Elsa123 well done on getting your essay done for your Msc. I'm doing a masters too at the minute and can't even begin to think about doing any work, very worried about how I will get it done! Morning sickness has begun with a vengeance and I'm definitely not enjoying it any more , feeling very ill at times and very miserable. .

I'm also really worried as I've got friends coming to stay this weekend and its going to be really obvious I'm pregnant, impossible to hide it with how ill I am feeling, but they're both useless at keeping secrets. I don't know how to drive home to them how important it is for them not to tell other people (DH and I would both prefer to grieve privately, should things go wrong). I'm worried they'll tell people anyway because they can't help themselves. has anyone had to tell someone who likes to gossip and managed to get them to keep quiet about it?

on a more positive note, I had to go bra shopping yesterday, I've gone from a C cup to E cup already! to be honest, I think they're waaay too big now but DH is loving it (well, when they aren't so sore that he's not allowed near them) - which is lucky as I am pretty hard work at the minute I think. Bit concerned how big they will be by the end though!

tiredfeet · 18/02/2010 10:50

also welcome MummyWilliams. I'm so sorry you had to go through that last year. It must be in your thoughts a lot, but I am glad you have this positive news as well and I hope everything goes well this time.

& welcome to the other newbies too!

delilahbelle · 18/02/2010 10:58

Hi all
I am 4 weeks today, hoorrah First milestone, now I'm just praying that as I have a positive test result AF will stay well away. Still no symptoms, for all of you feeling a bit sick I'll take some of the nausea off your hands...
I have a scan booked in for 6+5, 19 days to go... I am not entirely sure how I am going to manage to wait that long.

QuestionsAnswered · 18/02/2010 13:27

Hi, can I join please, I was on the October bus thread (slightly different name ) and found out I was pregnant on monday, BUnderthebonnet sent me this way to join this thread.

We decided to start trying at the beginning of Feb (after a shall I shan't I thread on MN!) just as I thought I was ovulating, so wasn't expecting to be pregnant 1st month, but here we are and I am so pleased (and know how lucky we have been), though like everyone else it doesn't seem quite real and the worry sets in early doesn't it?!

I have already booked an appointment with the midwife for my booking in appt in 4 weeks time when I will be 8 weeks.

Can someone add me to the list when it is next updated please, right I will go and have a good read of the thread now..

I guess we won't have too many more joining now as people we start getting Nov EDD?

Hi
I'm another one for the ranks!
I've read this entire thread - took me ages!!!
Hello, and congratulations to you all.

We are seven weeks along as of today, according to the GP/my last period, so currently have a due date of 7th October.
I'm 35, and live in SW London, and this will be our first baby.

I had a little morning sickness last week, but nothing major, and generally feel really good. I actually enjoyed the morning sickness I think, as it made it feel more real!

I look forward to getting to know you, and sharing this magical journey with you all.
x

Nymphadora · 18/02/2010 15:49

Can someone change my EDD when they update I miscalculated it's the 20th not 27th.

Sore breasts today leaned forward onto them at one point & jumped a mile!

Still got nausea but no sick. Found it worse when I'm driving. We are in the car atm with dh driving and I'm ok but when I drive I bawk! That's going to be handy for work

ConstantlyWritingThankYouCards · 18/02/2010 17:06

Tiredfeet - my experience with first pregnancy was that people who like to gossip just like to gossip and can't help themselves. We told a friend who was coming for dinner (only because he'd clock i wasn't drinking) who went on to tell DH's ex girlfriend's sister. So basically all my DHs mates knew before he got a chance to tell them. And all before 12 weeks. Don't mean to scare you and I know lying feels rubbish but might be worth a little white lie just in case. Can you say you have had a virus and are still recovering?

BUnderTheBonnet · 18/02/2010 17:43

Hi Questions!

And nymph no longer due date buddies! My EDD is actually 20th oct too, based on my last period, but I'm going on 27th based on when I ovulated. So it's all a bit vague anyway...

I spoke to my midwife on Tuesday, and it was lovely that she was so excited to have me as a client again. She's an#rranging my scans for towards the end of April, which seems a long time off.

Feeling quite nauseous, but no actual vomiting yet, but my God, the burping ! Hope that doesn't last much longer - don't remember it with dd.

I am also massive already, although that must be my imagination partly. Or triplets... I keep teasing my dh about that...

SamanthaB123 · 18/02/2010 19:27

Hello all, a quick post as I'm going out for dinner. Don't know how that will go, feel as sick as can be right now. I went too long without eating which is fatal for me. Yuk. We're not going to tell anyone at the moment either so I need to keep it to myself. I have told my friends that I'm taking anti-biotics so won't be drinking.

Went to my GP today, she was very nice. I said that my clothes were getting tight already and that there seemed to be a redistribution of my weight (thinking that she'd laugh a bit) but she said that by the third pregnancy the bump tends to show much earlier than previos pregnancies and it wouldn't be long before I couldn't hide it. I'm only 5+2 weeks. I'd like to hide it unitl I've had the scan. She will now refer me to the midwife brigade. They aren't based at my surgery but at a local hospital. I have a choice of hospitals for delivery and will have first scan between 9 and 11 weeks.

Bloody hell. I'm having a baby..! It suddenly seems terribly real and I feel terrible sick, but am all smiley . SB

pookey · 18/02/2010 20:06

samanthaB I have been in a happy mood about baby no 3 today too, already listing baby names.
Tiredfeet my oh does not like my bigger pregnancy boobs he thinks they 'feel all weird a bit too hot and delicate like ill breasts with a bad case of flu'
Told my mum and sister I was expecting number 3, they were unimpressed they think I have my hands full with 2.

Nymphadora · 18/02/2010 20:39

have an incredibly bloated stomach ATM , been hurting too but now discovered it is wind and it's going down

AbFabT · 18/02/2010 20:52

pookey, that's not a great reaction from your mum and sister! I am sure they'll come round soon!
