Due October 2010 - anyone else??

loueytbg · 21/01/2010 13:26

I got a very faint BFP last night and a really nice pink line this morning This will be my third baby, but 2nd pregnancy - I had twins first time round and I'm really hoping for just the one this time.

Due date is 2th October by ovulation date and 6th October by LMP - I'm going with the early date at the moment although I'm sure the NHS will change it to the later one.

I feel as sick as a dog and have nearly puked already which doesn't bode well for the next few weeks. God know how I'm going to keep it quiet.

Right I'm off to buy some more tests to pee on

Hermya321 · 13/02/2010 11:24

Morning all, I had a BFP last night and according to my dates I'll be due on the 24th October 2010.

I'm still in a state of shock, but feeling quite positive about it.

Mind if I join you??

Norfolkbumpkin · 13/02/2010 11:48

Congratulations Hermya, welcome to the club! I know that feeling of being in a state of shock, we had planned to try for another baby, but when the moment comes of finding out you have been successful it is still such a shock.

Nymphadora · 13/02/2010 12:47

Hi everyone, (found you this time samanthab123 )

I got my bfp yesterday and we are both a bit stunned as we had not 'tried' this month as DH had OFSTED when I thought I was ovulating so we had a stressful couple of weeks.

This will be my third but DH first and will be 9 years between dd2 and db.

According to MN calculator I am due 27th October.

I've added myself to the last list.

Forgot symptoms- strange taste /nausea what has been increasing over the last few days, tired but think thats due to my BP meds as thats been going on a while

lilmissmummy · 13/02/2010 14:38

Hi All
I have tentatively added myself to the list. I got a BFP 5 days ago and have taken 4 tests since. V worried as I MC at 13 weeks last October so dont really want to get too excited. Just keeping everything crossed.
I have 2 other children at 8 (9 in April) and 5 so massive age gaps but we would so love to have a baby and hope that this one is a sticky one!

No symptoms yet, except the thirst! Havent seen the doctor as too scared, think I will leave it a week and see how it goes. I know I am such a wimp.

Loving hearing all your baby news and wishing you all loads of baby glue!

xx

Hi all, have taken the liberty of adding myself to the list also- 3rd person due on the 1st October so looks like we'll get the month off to a flying start!

Trying to be very stoic about it so far as had two mc before ds (with whom had all day/night ms with so no doubting was actually pregnant that time!), not much ms so far but pleased to hear (not just here) this pretty normal as well.

Congratulations all!

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 13/02/2010 16:33

Hi all I second early pregnancy feeling cold all of the time it really confused me 1st time around because I was told that pregnant women were supposed to be like hot water bottles! You certainly heat up by the 2nd trimester though! I've got my own theory on it I think it's to do with the effect of the progesterone on your blood vessels, it relaxes them so more blood flows through to the surface as it does when you are hot and need cooling down.

I've heard a supposedly good cure for MS for those of you poor things who are suffering already- Protein. Try and eat soemthing high in protein 1st thing, contrary to the carbs we've being told, protein is suppose to help and it's also something our bodies have an icreased need of during pregnancy. Try scrambled eggs, bacon etc if you can stomach it or even a protein shake. I will let you know if it works when my MS usually kicks in around the 7 week mark! Last time though I went right off the smell of bacon. But eggs I can handle.

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 13/02/2010 16:34

I forgot to add my DS last time!

Nymph Really glad to see you here. Can we hold hands - I'm a wreck! Just had some ewcm tinged with pink. Tiny bit of pink, but still pink. Had read lots of info that says it's normal but this is the same time as mc two months ago. Anyone else had anything like this?

Nymphadora · 13/02/2010 19:36

Thanks jennimoo samanthab123 no idea really but fingers crossed for you. I'm a bit on the edge too after a chemical pregnancy (We think ) in October.

Been out to football this afternoon and have been so cold and even now at home where I have been fine I'm cold so I'm glad you have all said it as this week I have thought it was getting colder despite the thermometer going up.

I need to get straight on my dos and donts. I'm probably very out of date since last time!

Hermya321 · 13/02/2010 20:22

I took the liberty of adding myself to the list, I hope thats ok.

I've had a bit of MS already and have been having the old metalic taste in my mouth on and off all day today.

SamanthataB123 Fingers crossed for you my dear.

Norfolk Thanks, it's wearing off a bit now and I'm starting to get excited but at the same time scared to death that it'll all go s bit Pete Tong.

No further ewcm with pink tinge. Everything seems to be as I would expect. Temperature still high and have mild irritating symtpoms. Some nausea but not really a problem yet. With other two it really kicked in at 6 weeks. Today is 4+6. Started to mc at this point two months ago so fx that I'll get through this part stress free. I feel much more optimistic this morning.

For those with ms, in the past I controlled it (definately not cured it) through a combination of positive thinking - constantly telling myself that I didn't feel sick, wasn't going to feel sick and was going to enjoy the whole thing, and through food. The key was finding the food that I could eat without feeling sick. With DD#1 it was drinking marmite (ie made with hot water) and eating chicken kiev with mash. Not together, just spaced out through the day. With DD#2 it was bananas and digestive biscuits (in bed before I had time to wake up and think I might feel ill) and Christmas pudding and mince pies. With cream. I did put on weight I have to say but it did work. Interestingly those foods are the girls favourites as they've grown up. I had the only 18 month old baby who would die for Christmas pudding.

I seem to remember being disappointed that the nausea didn't pass as quickly as I was told it would - at 12 weeks. By 14 weeks though I was clear of it. It is funny for me looking back - my first pregnancy was 12 years ago and the second 10 years ago!

Hope this helps! SB

Hello I'm very new to this and can't believe I'm even on here.. tempting fate perhaps? but got a positive test result two days ago having had PCOS for 15 years and only two periods in the last 6 months...
But can you tell me where I'll find out what you all mean by DD DS BFP DC3 LMP etc? Tried to guess but can't work it out at all. thanks, then I can begin to make sense of this...

TheBreastmilksOnMe · 14/02/2010 13:25

DD- Dear Daughter
DS- Dear Son
BFP- Big Fat Positive
DC3- Dear Child No 3
LMP- Last Menstrual Period

(There is an acronym list at the top of the page which you might find useful for all the abbreviations we use on here)

Congratlations by the way!

Hi everyone.

Congratulations LadyGD fingers crossed that you have a sticky baby and it stays right up to 40 weeks!!!!

Thanks for the tip on the ginger, I suffered really badly with MS last time after 8 weeks right up to 16 weeks so I will try that once it kicks in. (fingers crossed I wont need to)

How are everyone elses symptoms?

I am trying to resist the urge to take another pregnancy test. I dont quite believe that I am pregnant!!

Anyway Happy Valentines all. Hope you have a great Valentines Day on your new house seashells.

xx
