Come in, come in to the new haven for diffed BESHies. I think a group effort is needed here (and I'm being a lazy preggo), so please add to the deli whatever you crave/love/can stomach.

Nominations are also open for sexy fathers we can hijack to serve our mouldy cheese and cured ham

And the best mocktail recipe wins...well, bugger all to be honest

I dunno, but the mw said you can always hear the hb earlier if it's more than 1.

I'll have you know I went to 8st 7 from 8st 2! that's a lot for me, I've been 8st 2 for about 6 years!

(8st 10 on today's scales)

skihorse · 07/02/2010 16:13

Sounds like you are "blooming"! Did you manage to get out yesterday or did you have to content yourself with tales from TGO? How are you feeling about tomorrow? It's going to be fantastic - there will be tears! (I bet cunty didn't cry though the hatchet-face caaah.)

Cosmosis · 07/02/2010 16:37

I don't think I ventured out of the house yesterday I had a very lazy day and it was just what I needed after the week at work I have had.

TGO had a great mtb ride with friends so both happy.

Today I haz bin to the gym.

I'm part nervous, part excited and part disbelieving about tomorrow.

skihorse · 07/02/2010 16:42

It'll be fine and you'll get a photo of your baybees! Luckily it's nice and early in the morning so you won't be fretting all day - all night is a given I think. Btw, if you do win a vegetable we'd all be really excited to see the scan pic!

CUNextTuesday · 07/02/2010 16:53

Also we'll look forward to devising some interesting recipes when we find out what manner of vegetable it is... must admit I'd struggle with artichoke though. Am personally hoping for celery because it is so versatile.

@ 'hatchet-face'. I'll have you know there were tears but that's because my bladder was too full - note to cos when they say 'full bladder' they don't mean full to bursting, just not empty so don't drink pints and pints like I did or they will not be able to see anything and will send you to the toilet mid-scan, which kind of ruins the magic somewhat

CUNextTuesday · 07/02/2010 16:57

Rastus kept booting the inside of my cervix this morning in B&Q so it felt like my insides were coming out. Not pleasing. Had to sit down on a Black & Decker Workmate whilst Hom was engrossed in penis extensions circular saws and other large power tools.

skihorse · 07/02/2010 16:59

Really cunty? That's something they keep quiet isn't it? When I nipped along for my 10am scan I had the aforementioned 6 pints of water in there and couldn't spread my legs properly... when I returned for my actual appointment at 2 there was much less in my bladder although still relatively full. The whole bloody thing is one giant pot of confusion. I'm glad you cried. If that doesn't sound wrong.

You know I don't think you're hatchet-faced really... just having a heart of ice.

skihorse · 07/02/2010 17:00

Ugh, I am so ovah having to sit down for a wee minute. I must know every bench/tree stump/rock/low wall within a 2 mile radius.

Cosmosis · 07/02/2010 17:31

Oooh thanks for the tip cunty they've asked me to take an fmu sample so I was thinking I'd have to do that and then down 6 pints of water. I'll just down 3!

Cosmosis · 07/02/2010 17:39

PS please to stop talking about cooking my ickle baybee vegetable.

CurlyCasper · 07/02/2010 20:01

brief stop to say hello. Been a weird weekend with lots of bed rest thanks to fucked hip. Not to mention awful rugby result However, it did inspire me to set up a wireless network so I can spend more time on t'interweb in bed

BUT now, having finally succeeded, I'm sick of looking at computer screens, so I'll be back when trying to avoid work tomorrow...

Is anyone else getting pains? I know cunty was moaning a few weeks ago about pains - I'm getting kind of stretchy/stabby pains around the side of my uterus and in my bumhole. Any ideas?

CUNextTuesday · 08/02/2010 08:24

Not sure about the latter one, although I could hazard a bumsex guess. The former sounds familiar though. Not incessant, just every now and again.

skihorse · 08/02/2010 08:31

haha cunty I realised after I'd posted it that "stretching of bumhole" type pain could be misinterpreted... Although I was expecting iggy to pick up on it.

No, it's not constant it's mostly when I stand up/sit up/twist type thing. I mean I'm not going to race along to A&E or anything but I think I might drop the midwives a line. I seem to remember you moaning just a few weeks ago about something similiar and of course because we're following you I'm using you as my barometer.

Also yesterday I kind of felt my pelvis/hip do something weird and I would NOT have wanted to be on horseback for that.

Cossie is getting scanned as we type! I wonder how many baybees she's having.

skihorse · 08/02/2010 08:32

Doh, forget that - I'm forgetting the time difference. Cossie is not getting scanned as we type, she's waddling to the car with a full bladder and moaning at TGO.

CUNextTuesday · 08/02/2010 08:36

FWIW, Midwifey said that if it's stabby and stretchy it's perfectly normal, if it's crampy to give her a buzz. Not that crampy means anything sinister, just that it's worth taking some advice on. I got some crampy yesterday, but it was summat and nowt so I ignored it

skihorse · 08/02/2010 08:41

That makes sense tbh because I would imagine that if anything "bad" was happening by this stage it's going to be a whole lot more painful than simply being stabbed in the bumhole. Although you claim to not know about such things. I'd need PollyPoo's input on this one.

I realised over the weekend that we've pulled an absolute blinder with our "fick" summer babies - for us I mean. We get to slob around all summer in giant maxi-dresses and flip-flops whilst our heavily pregnant in the winter differs need to co-ordinate entire outfits and buy maternity coats and shoes which will accommodate giant fat feet.

CUNextTuesday · 08/02/2010 08:45

Although I'm predicting a heatwave for June for maximum discomfort and ill-temperedness. But I'm going to occupy my time by looking at ski holidays for January

skihorse · 08/02/2010 09:00

haha maybe I'll go over to the snowdome down the road buy a ticket and just sit on the slopes with my bump out. Minus 5 - glorious!

CUNextTuesday · 08/02/2010 09:02

Classy

CurlyCasper · 08/02/2010 09:05

ski that sounds like round ligament pain - perfectly normal. I had some bastard ones when trying to go to sleep last night. And the i dreamed I went skiing - must be the influence of you lot because I have not been on a slope since I was about 13, and there's no way my knees would allow me to return.
Bizarelly, there was some topless sunbathing going on on my dream piste...

I'm with cunty, reckon it will be hot and uncomfortable till we pop, then miserable when we are ready to enjoy it. Typical.

Good luck cos!

Curly That'll be you and Cossie I think, showing off your new-found baps to the entire world - no matter what the temperature! I can't wait to hear her news. Good to hear about the ligaments from you too. If your knees are too fucked to ski Curls you should maybe try the adaptive skiing - they're utterly humbling to watch. Where did you used to go? Nip over to Glencoe?

Cunty I'm going to hang out with my wang out, rock out with my cock out. Seriously though, I am far too old to be a hip-differ, there will be no displaying of the bump in public. Ask me again in July though when it's 30 plus daily.

Do any of you remember Neneh Cherry on TOTP late-80s causing a huge stir by wearing a tight dress whilst 7 months? That would be considered positively demure in some circles these days.

CurlyCasper · 08/02/2010 09:34

I figure-hugged my wee bump last week and felt a few stares - back to the baggy stuff now!

ski we had good old Girl Guide trips to Aanoch Mor, Aviemore and the dry slope in Edinburgh. It's been decided that if SFF ever gets it together to go on a ski trip (ski-mad friends have a property in the French Alps and there have been loose plans for years), I shall be partaking mainly of the apres-ski!

Busy week ahead, so must actually get some work done...

Hi all,

Great weekend away with some girlfriends. We went to Centerparcs - not been before. Was ok for what it was, clean and well maintained - but it was one of those girls weekends where we'd have had fun anywhere. So we spent lots of Saturday whizzing down the water chutes in their water park, followed by some mooching around Penryth, and Sunday we went abseiling (where I had to sign to say I'm not pregnant and have no problems with my neck or back etc... ho hum). That was fun, if a little tame as it was kind of just abseiling off a wooden platform thing - but that seems to be the CP thing - lots of things to experience but all at a basic level. I saw the poniez going off for a treck and other than just SO wanting to jump on their backs and go off on them, they looked really sweet and steady - the kind that if a bomb went off in front of them they'd just step around the crater.

skihorse · 08/02/2010 11:58

OMG apzeiling! I love it! haha really you had to sign a form? That's too funny!

Where is our Cossie? Please to share all her news.

Curly You will love it - as a girl who likes the mountains and fresh air I can't see how you wouldn't.
