Come in, come in to the new haven for diffed BESHies. I think a group effort is needed here (and I'm being a lazy preggo), so please add to the deli whatever you crave/love/can stomach.

Nominations are also open for sexy fathers we can hijack to serve our mouldy cheese and cured ham

And the best mocktail recipe wins...well, bugger all to be honest

curly Did I twirly-finger motions? No, I did not! I think we're very lucky on the old maxi dress front - hurrah for summer pregnancies!

I have a question for the doggie experts. Last night when I got home from work jailbait was in the park with the dogs. I entered the building via an electric gate at the back of the building. I parked my car 2 floors underground. I took the lift from minus 2 up to the 6th floor and walked to the flat. Jailbait said the minute the dogs got in to the lobby they went "mental" - they ran over to the lift I went up in and sniffed at the doors. He got them up to the 6th floor and they just went crackers racing up to the front door. They knew I was home, this is not the first time they've done this. Am I giving off mega-preggo hormones?

curly You've got stretchmarks? Fo shiz? I hadn't even looked truth be told. As far as fear goes, I clicked on that link you provided yesterday. Why would you do that to me?

iggypiggy · 04/02/2010 09:47

You lot is well organdised....

I have some jeans and some black trousers of the maternity variety - but my skirts are all ok, so am wearing them alot...

One pregnancy book and one book on babies (blokes guide - technically not mine)

Some mamma mio lotion things for me.

Some new underwear.

That is all.

CUNextTuesday · 04/02/2010 10:04

Bloody hell gasper you've really signed up to this haven't you?!

Hom doesn't feel comfortable buying anything significant till after 20 wk scan 'just in case', so fair enough. Got 2 prs of clown maternity trousers for work which are comedy and keep falling down, but my wardrobe is made up of linen trousers, woolly pinafore tops and empire line wotevas and smox and things so I can't motivate myself to get anything else and they will prob last for another 2 months I reckon. Looked at mat clothes and I hate everything or can't justify the expense and that is Not Like Me. Would really like one of those wrap dresses but I can only find them with either spots on (bleurgh) or in black (and the other preggo in our office has one of those and I don't want to be ginger twins with her - 'ginger' in a non-perjorative way obv cas). And to be honest I have calves like a Ukrainian weightlifter so knee length anything looks a bog of dog-bobs on me.

Have invested in a new pair of flat shoes though cos my old Red or Deads are bust (only 12 years old ) so I ordered a new pair from Schuh online and they should be arriving anytime soon!! sqweeeeeeeee!! They are ACE!!

givecarrotsachance · 04/02/2010 11:03

cunty did you complete the order? I can't see it - or do I ignore this per email?

ski animal communication - look it up - dogs are highly sensitive psychics.

I have:

  • A cot (but not a mattress yet)
  • A travel system plus spare car seat for when normal one is pooed or vomited on
  • A changing table
  • Baby cot bedding
  • Baby clothes (or will this weekend when friend donates them) - plus stash of MAC seconds which I've been hoarding for years!
  • Some nappies but will have pick of MAC (it's a hard life) when needed
  • Bed protectors (for baby - need to order one for me)
  • Permanently in maternity trousers and have 1 x mat top but have been given belly bands by a friend so no more maternity tops will be bought. They're fab. I have a white, burgundy and dark blue, need to buy a black then I can give the layered look to just about everything in my wardrobe.

So all I need is a baby now. However, in my defense I already had all this stuff for LC of course!

givecarrotsachance · 04/02/2010 11:07

Oh and travel cot.

skihorse · 04/02/2010 11:08

Cunty I am feeling the same about maternity lines... just "not me", hideously expensive or simply hideous. I love some of the Isabella Oliver stuff but I'm waiting for my inheritance to come through... in the mean time I've got bigger jeans and my skirts still fit. I did get some maternity vest tops though which are lovely.

Flat shoes? I put it to you that hom is actually wom!

iggypiggy · 04/02/2010 11:12

I find I have expensive taste in maternity wear sadly

Hence just the one pair of jeans - which are nicer than the non maternity ones I had before... - the black trousers were in the sale...

CUNextTuesday · 04/02/2010 11:13

lol If you saw him you'd disagree and besides they're FUNKY, not COMFY

Yes all the order went through, paid by paypal- got an email from Wendy Order no. 201002031 it be.

CurlyCasper · 04/02/2010 11:15

when I say maternity outfits, I have a pair of maternity jeans, a maternity dress from H&M sale (£5), a maternity tunic-shirt from another sale (£7) several baggy/empire dresses - all from sales (under £10), donated by mother or already in my wardrobe. Two new pairs of maternity leggings (£3 each). None of my trousers fit (actually, maybe one pair). But all my dresses/long tops still have loads of room.

I have not splashed out on fancy maternity gear, just grabbed what I could using Christmas/birthday money and vouchers. It's all stuff I can put layers under now then wear on its own in the summer.

ski yup, you smell more now!

iggy Hope you have a lovely day!

w00t! My Duo boots have just come. They have a suitable heel for walking rather than tottering - although I'm not quite in cunty territory. i.e., Lesbos.

Curly Us PESH girls seem to be a right bunch of bargain grabbers! Good for us!

iggy Please to furnish us with photos of your expensive stuff. We can stroke them and pretend it's real and for us!

CUNextTuesday · 04/02/2010 12:52

and anyway fuck off with your Lesbot accusations

these are they

Not sure I've done myself many favours here but fuckit they're hardly Ecco

skihorse · 04/02/2010 13:00

I like ecco. But they are too narrow in the calf for me, hence my trot off to Duo. cunty = Lady Macbeth

CurlyCasper · 04/02/2010 13:03

A flat shoe does not a lesbian make. I don't own anything higher than the smallest of kitten heels and I got diffed with a traditional manfat injection and everyfink.

skihorse · 04/02/2010 13:07

All will become clear in September I'm sure.

CurlyCasper · 04/02/2010 13:11

maybe we are having twins then iggs, but one each!

givecarrotsachance · 04/02/2010 13:14

I'm with casper here actually. I am well and truly not a lesbo as proved by the fact I've been married twice (so that PROVES it). But, I tend to wear flats coz I have crappy knees, and a crappy back and neck and anything higher than a riding boot heel is just not good for me.

SkaterGrrrrl · 04/02/2010 13:49

I have

  • 1 pair maternity jeans
  • 1 x maternity dress
  • 1 x baby book
  • 1 x baby name book (from library)
  • 1 x spare room painted in a nice sage green, done in a fit of optimism when we started TTC last year

Also I had the swine flu jab this week and my arm hurts.

givecarrotsachance · 04/02/2010 14:00

prob ski's influence but I'm also feeling gooey today, but at feeling the little one wriggling. It's like a feather being drawn across my insides - which is nice coz I keep having to grab somewhere near my crotch to stop the tickling. Very attractive.

Sometimes it's little teeny kicks and bumps, but mostly the feather.

iggypiggy · 04/02/2010 14:02

for ski - these is the jeans: here

It is the most amount I haz ever spent on an item of clothing ever - actually - except for my wedding dress - but that is different...

They are very flattering jeans tho... and very comfy...

givecarrotsachance · 04/02/2010 14:03

Sorry to hear about your arm, skater

LC had a blood test the other day. The day before he had it I was interrogated for about 1/2 hour about how people he knew have died - eg my grandparents, his grandfather, etc. I couldn't understand what the problem was until I finally got out of his that he assumed that the nurse would be taking ALL his blood and he wanted to make sure he wouldn't die from it.

5 year olds - who'd 'ave 'em.

givecarrotsachance · 04/02/2010 14:11

igg jeans look nice but at the price... but then I'm all for buying stuff you really like and is really comfy, then living in it.

CUNextTuesday · 04/02/2010 14:13

lol @ 'a must for pregnant jeans lovers'

iggypiggy · 04/02/2010 14:16

I dunno - i don't buy myself many clothes.. and I reason it is my last chance cos my cash won't just be for me after July..

CUNextTuesday · 04/02/2010 14:26

tchah - it's your money, spend it how you want!

iggypiggy · 04/02/2010 15:33

Ta cunty
