Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

womba1 - your link just has one too many www.mumsnet.com bits!

Tabs · 01/08/2005 20:04

Thanks Womba - it's been lovely. DH managed to get day off, so he made me breakfast in bed and we had a lie in, then went out for lunch and to see Madagascar at cinema this afternoon. Worn out now!

Had had a few really rough days suffering with constipation and related pains, but thankfully feeling quite a bit better today, so was nice to have a relaxing day with DH.

Frizbe · 01/08/2005 20:20

Happy Birthday Tabs!

Frizbe · 01/08/2005 20:21

and oh gaw'd JuA I feel loads sicker this time round, and dh and I had been joking about twins too! will let you know my scan results in two weeks!

TicTac · 01/08/2005 21:22

Evening ladies, sorry I am posting late but I had a lot of people to talk to tonight! Scan went really well although they have knocked my date back to the 11th Feb....

Little Tic Tac was quite happy having a sleep until sonographer pushed scnner into belly, tictac not at all happy decided to punch her! Sonographer then went over again since the whole picture jumped and the little mite let out another big punch. Seems like this baby already knows what she likes....just like her mummy. Daddy not at all happy at the idea a 13 week old baby has attitude in the womb...very funny!!!

Great to see loads of good news on here tonight and I have everything crossed that we should ALL be feeling less sick some time real soon!!! xx

womba1 · 01/08/2005 21:43

Great news Tictac! Sounds like you have a feisty little Tictac whereas my peanut slept through the entire ordeal... i guess i'm having another laid back, lazy boy!!!

spacecadet · 01/08/2005 21:44

tic tac, congrats, you are due the same as me now.

ixel · 01/08/2005 21:52

And the same as me!!
Typical, the one time people are around to talk to when I check this thread, and I'm off to bed after an exhausting day...!

JuA · 02/08/2005 09:09

Tic Tac & Womba - really pleased your scans went well - we can start loking forward to trimester 2 now- hopefully feelig less sick.
I am so pleased that you all posted really positive things - most reactions in real life have been OMG!!!!
Dh saw straight away on the scan and then thought/hoped it was a trick of the light - he is a doctor so sort of knows what he is looking at!! but he didn't say anything. Then the sonographer asked if I had been feeling sick and then asked how many children we had!! I had guessed by this time what she was getting at so it wasn't a complete shock when she turned the screen round!

Tabs · 02/08/2005 09:15

Toothache · 02/08/2005 09:17

Bloody hell this is a busy thread??!?!?! Were you lot bored on the May Bank Holiday or something????

TicTac · 02/08/2005 09:22

Morning Ladies,

Spacecadet & Ixel....the 11th Feb club hey...are we hoping for early, late or on time? I have fingers crossed for a week early ;-)

Jua....I don't know about you but I can't stop thinking about your twin scenario...very funny! When are you planning to finish work (if you work) with you only being up the road do you fancy meeting up for a coffee (ok, it is de-caff tea for me but you know what I mean!) sometime?

TicTac · 02/08/2005 09:23

Toothache....Telly was rubbish and it rained ;)

TicTac · 02/08/2005 10:16

come of ladies... I am at work, feel sick and bored...there must be someone else out there?!?!

Tabs · 02/08/2005 10:28

Morning TicTac - I take it that despite being 'at work', you don't actually have any work to do?!

Perhaps you can see if you can track down any of the ladies from this thread who haven't posted for a while - see if they are posting elsewhere on the site and just need a little encouragement to come and chat with us!

Also concerned about what's happened to Hotmama - she used to post lots on here, but seems to have vanished.

Detective TicTac on the case?

TicTac · 02/08/2005 10:43

Hey Tabs....I have loads of work to do but am feeling increasingly sorry for myself. Not healthy I know but I think I am "bunged" up. I shall see if I can track down Hotmama...She did used to post a lot didn't she!!

TicTac · 02/08/2005 10:48

Didn't Hotmama turn to barefootmama??

Tabs · 02/08/2005 10:49

Nope - Barefootmama was Mamatoto and before that Mama5 and before that Miranda5 (she's been keeping me on my toes!!)

MrsDoolittle · 02/08/2005 10:52

Hi Ladies,
How are you? Suddenly the cloud of nausea that has engulfed me for weeks now has lifted. I was 11 weesk on Sunday!

JuA · 02/08/2005 10:56

Hi Tic Tac
I have no idea when I will be finishing work - I had said I would work until after Christmas but I don't think that is likely anymore! I will have to speak to my boss again and have a rethink. Probably as soon as I am able!! but I won't be popular as I am on the oncall rota all through December - whoops!! I work Wed - Fri at the moment. Meeting up for a drink (not coffee!!) would be great. Are you working full time?

TicTac · 02/08/2005 11:00

You see, I remembered there had been changes

Nice to see you Dolittle...Have you a scan date yet?

MrsDoolittle · 02/08/2005 11:01

I have a 20 week scan booked for September 29. I didn't want one before then

TicTac · 02/08/2005 11:08

Hi Jua,

Yes I work full time but I am flexible with hours so I am sure I can make a date It is easy for me to be around in the afternoon if that makes it easier for you? Just let me know when you fancy. My work email address is [email protected] if you want to mail me directly.

I guess you would want to finish a tad earlier now you a 2 beans!! I wasn't going to finish until mid Jan but with the redundancies here I think I will just go earlier and get on with getting ready to be a mum so I am thinking Early December.

BarefootMama · 02/08/2005 11:09

hi jua - what do you do to be oncall?

Tabs - I am impressed! you are on the ball - there is no chance of me sneaking back to an old persona fo a bit of annonymity...

No retching yet today but a slow start always helps - sun shinning for the first time in weeks --all is good!!!

TicTac · 02/08/2005 11:10

Mrs Doolittle....on my 5th wedding anniversary...must be a good day. My friend has her 20 week scan then too! She is due the same day as me!!
