Hi Girls - so here we all are and so far so good (fingers and toes crossed and wheelbarrow loads of baby dust abounding)

Thought I would start a new thread (new name too) as babies being found out about now will just about be into March so we are no longer the absolute newbies which feels good!

So maybe we should collate all our due dates(any one had a dates scan yet??)

Keep it up!

I'm new to this thread as found out at the end of last week that i am due 22 Feb. so only five weeks today. I am very apprehensive having had an ectopic in Jan this year and have been ttc no2 for three years. DS is 3.5.

Wishing everyone all the best and hope to be around for longer this time!

Mama5 · 20/06/2005 14:04

Congratulations Morgan and positive vibes for a long ( not too long) and healthy pregnancy. A lot of us are nervous on this thread for various reasons so you are in good company!
Hope to see lots more of you!

Good Afternoon girls. I'm so glad someone started a new thread as my bl**dy machine keeps locking me out and stops me posting messages - hence I previously had to start up new Jan 06 and Oct 04 threads. So if you don't hear from me for a while don't assume the worst just assume it's my machine!

I'm due on the 1st Feb, so 8 weeks plus 1 (I think). Got my dating scan on Thurs - early because I want a CVS and they need to be sure of my dates.

Only had a few weeks of nausea with dd and no chucking - not this time around - thought it was supposed to get easier. I woke up at 3 a.m. last Wednesday feeling sick and then progressed to 2 hours of throwing up, felt like death all day - really good fun when you are looking after an 8 month old - not I am feeling better now - phew!

Hope you girls are feeling O.K.

Tabs · 20/06/2005 21:14

hotmama1 · 20/06/2005 21:34

I'm 38 and dp is 40 - is anyone on here older than me? DD is 8 months so I am cramming them in my twilight years (well better later than never)

RachelRog · 20/06/2005 22:09

Ooooooooo.....a new thread.

No symptoms yet for me......just a bloated tum, wind but little else! Hopefully puking will begin soon.

I will try to post regularly so I get to know people! I have my scan three weeks on Tues (12th July)......can't wait but scared as well! Was a total shock when I had my missed m/c and praying my little beanie is growing happily.

Is anyone else having their scan soon???? I love reading scan stories as they fill me with so much hope that I will be ok this time.

TicTac · 20/06/2005 22:32

Hi ladies...blimey, I have been checking the old thread all day and thought you had all abondoned ship...yipeee you're all still here!!
so how is everyone feeling? I am a bit up and down..8 weeks now so feel like I am making headway through the "danger" time. I have everything crossed for us all...
I have not heard from a midwife yet about any dates....I hope they have not forgotten about me. I did get my NHS exemption card through the post the other day though...that made it feel a little real! Roll on 12 weeks.....

Frizbe · 21/06/2005 07:06

Hi there, can I join you all? happened to get a BFP this morning! so have calc'd due 27th Feb (although if dd anything to go by, will be due in March, ahem)

Stats are: Me 30, Dh 40, we already have 1 x dd 19Mths and fingers x'd our little beanie on the way

Already feeling a bit sick, argh! lets hope it stops after a few weeks....

Tabs · 21/06/2005 07:12

Frizbe - that's fantastic!!! Lovely to see another 'familiar face' over here! Congratulations

RachelRog - I've got an early scan next Monday when I'll be 8+3, so will make sure I tell you all about it to feed your appetite for the time being!!

Mama5 · 21/06/2005 09:32

Morning all,

I was also wondering what had happened to everyone yesterday, I'm glad to see a new thread.

I am due for my second scan this Friday and I am a bit nervous even though everything looked ok at my 6 week scan. The reason for this one is that the baby was lying really close to the top of the sack and couldnt be measured etc. We were told we might not see a heart beat yet but we did and it was a great feeling. Hopefully on Friday I will be discharged from Kings College and then will have my normal 12 week scan at Darenth Valley which is my local hospital. I am also seeing midwife on Monday for booking-in appointment and I will be 8.5 weeks then. It is starting to go fast - roll on 12 weeks.

Still not feeling too sick etc but I have started to have bad dreams where I am worrying. Anyone else having bad dreams?

kando · 21/06/2005 09:37

Morning ladies! Feeling pretty awful today, but not due to pg - have got the "mother" of colds, which started yesterday. So along with the dark circles under my eyes coz I'm so tired, I've got puffy eyes, a blocked and streaming nose and stink of Lockets. Lovely. Why do I always get the worst cold when I'm pg and can't take anything?!!

Is anyone going to have a nuchal translucency (sp?) scan? I had one with both dds, and am thinking about having one before going out to The Hague next month - at least that way I'll get to make sure bean's (hopefully) OK as I don't think I'll get a scan here before I go, unless I ask m/w for an early one. (I'm in Hampshire and you only get one scan at 16 weeks unless there are probs. Was hoping to swing an early one due to the injections, but not sure if m/w will swallow that one!) Have no idea what scans (if any!) I'll get in Holland, or what the maternity health care is like out there.

Hope everyone is OK and not suffering too much in this very hot weather - I found it very stifling yesterday, so I'm glad I'm not going to be huge over the summer (well, fingers crossed anyway!)

Kassie · 21/06/2005 10:03

going for scan at lunchtime, hoping all ok but feeling v nervous. It's early as diabetes can cause probs in pregnancy. Keep fingers crossed for us girls!

Frizbe · 21/06/2005 10:06

3k, I had an odd dream day before yest actually?! I went to a Japanese toilet (don't ask) and it flushed with egg!!! in an artistic way, kinda like a slow eggy waterfall.....weird eh!

Tabs · 21/06/2005 10:53

Kassie - good luck with scan!

Kando - no, not going to have any testing for Downs as there's no way I'd consider terminating, so a high risk result would just cause unnecessary worry.

Frizbe - you're weird .

Mama5 - I make you 6+4 today.

Morgan · 21/06/2005 10:54

Hi all,

Hotmama1 - i am 37 so not older but pretty close and this is my 2nd.

Kando - i too will be on heparin injections during my pg as i have a blood disorder which causes my blood to clot and i had a dvt at 10 weeks with ds1 so we are in the same boat. I am also relocating to Dubai in January if all goes to plan.

Tabs - add me to the list !! due 22nd Feb - ectopic Jan this year.

I am having a scan on 4 July to check all is in the right place so am nervous already! esp as i had a nasty scan experience last time when there was nothing there.

teuch · 21/06/2005 11:39

Hi all and great new thread!

I have been away for a long weekend and finally told my mum & DH's parents - then spent rest of weekend worrying that something would instantly go wrong!

Feeling terrible, sicky and weak, and still have cramps and diarrhea (sorry tmi!) every morning...not good.

Hope everyone else is well - or as unwell as makes you feel happy!

babylily · 21/06/2005 12:17

Had a scan today. Had a bit of bleeding over the weekend so they booked me in to the EPAU. Saw teeny blob with heartbeat on screen (well Dh saw a lot, by the time I got in there all I was concerned about was the agony of an over-full bladder).
Confirmed as 6 wks 5 days and 7.8 mm long.
Got an EDD of 9th Feb now.
Feels very real now and very exciting! I am expecting to have another c-s so I have only got about 32 wks to go!!!!!

Frizbe · 21/06/2005 12:49

Oh Babylily, glad all is ok for you,

Teuch sorry to see your suffering hon, hope it all gets better for you at the magic 12 week mark!

hotmama1 · 21/06/2005 12:57

Afternoon everyone - and welcome Frizbe! Don't know if you can remember from a previous thread but you went to the same secondary school as me - although I am older! See you at the Nottingham Castle meet-up where we can compare bumps?

I'm not feeling sicky at the moment - in fact feeling fab (and hungry).

teuch · 21/06/2005 13:42

Thanks Frizbe and big congrats to you!!

I have booked my private scan for next Monday which feels like ages away! Couldn't get it until then since I have to go in my flexitime (am saving it to shorten my notice period wahey!)

Glad yours went well Babylily - its exciting that we are getting to scan stage...makes it very real!

RachelRog · 21/06/2005 15:49

Babylily - glad your scan went well!!

Mine is in just under 3 weeks...can't wait!!

spacecadet · 21/06/2005 16:53

omg!a new thread!, i had an early scan on fri but it seems i was just too early on! only a little sac visible, consistant with about 5 weeks hcg levels through the roof! re scan on 28th, ive been told today that ive apparently won a comp on mn! i won an isabella oliver babydoll maternity dress, only thing is, i didnt see the announcement myself so am convinced i didnt win!
